12/10/2025: Small place with live music and a really good atmosphere. There is music in one of their rooms, and peace in the other 🫶

12/10/2025: There is never anyone at the bar. You have to wait 30 minutes before you are served.

01/10/2025: The portions are very small - equivalent to 40 kr for a large cocktail sausage with dip or 3 slices of bresola with a very small dollop of avocado and very little cottage cheese also 50 kr and a croissant 50 kr - too expensive for what it is and then there are drinks on top of that.. it needs a bit of a shine up and a long wait

13/09/2025: Had a bad experience at Rosenhuset today. We waited 40 minutes for coffee, shake and cake from the counter and bread basket. The coffee was wrong when it came. The food came after an hour. You charged for the water jug, even though it never came. The café was only half full so not even a busy day. What a shame for the cozy place that it is run so poorly.

28/11/2025: Bought 3 courses for 295kr which was a really good deal when a starter costs around 139, main course from 189kr and dessert from 129-139kr The food we got tasted good and the price is quite fair when you buy 3 courses. But if I had bought a main course for 149kr and got 4 shrimp, some salad and chili mayo then I would have been extremely disappointed. The main course was Paris steak really delicious and quite fair price. Dessert was chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream - tasted like bought products and not homemade. Tasted good! The second dessert was a risalamande - here they used carton cherry sauce (cold) which was poured over before serving. But for 149kr then the expectations are something else. I think you should look at your prices, a more fair price for dessert and starter is probably more like 99kr But the food tasted good, good portion sizes when you order 3 courses.

09/09/2025: Came at 6:00 PM, there were two guests before me. I order another burger to go. The employee jokes with me about whether she should ask the kitchen how long it takes 🤣🤣🤣 It took two to answer 10 minutes (of course it didn't last) The price was 199. I gave 200. Without me saying anything, it sounded like we don't have that much change, so you can't get any back. It's not the kroner, but the principle of it. And why would she ask how long it took?

05/12/2025: The food was delicious, a solid 9/10. We got a proper burger and a good amount of fries. Would have liked a bigger soda though, especially considering the price. We didn’t wait for long either. Very pleased, would recommend.

15/08/2025: Bought a cacao with whipped cream and a muffen and it tasted really good. Forgot to take a picture before I had eaten and drunk it all😂 But the staff seemed confused and no smiles. We stood and waited for 5-10 minutes before one of them said "just a moment" and then we waited again. 😒

20/10/2025: Delicious and tasty food. We had wok with noodles and shrimp/rice and beef. And both tasted great. Polite and friendly service

27/10/2025: I like porridge, but in this location specifically they put almost no matcha in the matcha mango smoothie bowl. The one I got in Vesterbro was perfect, while the one I got here didn't taste of matcha at all. It was just a green mango smoothie 🫠

02/12/2025: I don't usually write reviews, but this was super disappointing. Not only was the wait time (I was all alone in the store most of the time), I had paid for 3 skewers. I only got one skewer. When I called and raised it with the store I was told that I was wrong with an attitude and that it couldn't fit. After several minutes of discussion (YES several minutes) I was offered a new one with a bad tone, but the race was already over for me. First and last time. But their food was actually ok. What a shame.

25/10/2025: We have been coming to Holy Cow a few times a year for a number of years and it used to be our go-to place - unfortunately it is no longer and today's visit was probably our last. Tried the milkshake for the first time, which on the website is called "maybe the world's best" - maybe they should change this to maybe the world's thinnest as it tastes more like cold sweet milk, where it is difficult to taste the difference between the vanilla and strawberry versions. Mentioned it to the staff and got the answer - "That's completely normal". After a short wait the burgers arrived where two out of four were closer to rare than the usual medium rare - luckily we were able to swap between each other so everyone was ok as we didn't have time to complain about it. The amount of filling and especially truffle mayo was almost non-existent (compared to before) so the difference between our burgers was hard to see and taste. Luckily we got a little extra truffle mayo, but not optimal and was the last straw to take away the good atmosphere. The fries were great as always (although with an extra hair that my son removed from his portion). Accidentally discovered that we had paid for ketchup for two of our menus, when apparently only mayo is part of the menu. This was not mentioned when we ordered at the checkout. I mostly wanted to give 1-2 stars but the quality of the ingredients is good and maybe we were just unlucky today.

09/09/2025: Updated 2025, September: Just had to update my review as I stopped by and tried their Holy Cow Burger with Cheese and Bacon, and it was honestly the best burger I've ever had. Their steak is just amazing and the bun goes so well with it, overall just a wonderful burger. Still takes a while to make it, but that's okay when the result is this good, sometimes good things are worth waiting for. So the only downside is that their premises aren't particularly nice, there's nothing wrong with them, they're just boring. I just got a cheese burger, but it was a good cheese burger. I wouldn't say it's the best burger I've ever had, but it's in the top 10. They took a while to make it, there was actually someone who came after me who got their burgers before I did, which I was surprised about, but they may have ordered from home. And even though the premises are nice and clean, it was cold, which dampened the atmosphere a bit.

23/11/2025: Poor communication between the staff. We ordered a burger without pickles but when it arrived there were still pickles in it, we told the waiter who got mad at the kitchen and when the burgers came back the fries were cold

24/09/2025: Really nice place on a Wednesday afternoon just in the sun and a break from everyday life - coconut macaroon tasted amazing - caffe latte could definitely do with an upgrade - couldn't drink it. But otherwise really nice place☕️🌞 But

12/08/2025: It's a cozy little café in old Lyngby. Limited outdoor seating. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings and occasional author/book events. Closes early (6pm) if there are no events.
