19/10/2025: During our week-long stay on Bornholm, we visited this place twice! I'm so grateful for the team's commitment to sustainable cocoa processing and their fight against child labor. The chocolate is truly delicious and high-quality; you can't buy anything like it in the supermarket. The café, with its delicious cakes, is also a lovely place to linger. 26/09/2025: The best dark chocolate I have ever eaten. I also love the concept of fair living conditions/payment to the cocoa farmers. I have also bought many bottles of rare wine from Crete, which I am looking forward to tasting. You cannot buy them anywhere else in Denmark. A lovely surprise in addition to the chocolate experience.

22/07/2026: We sat and waited an hour for our food, which was pretty mediocre when it finally arrived. The one poor waiter who was working did his best, but the tables weren't cleared before new customers poured in. An hour wait for food is simply too long. Stay away from their nachos, they were SO dry and boring 😭

14/05/2026: The Griffen Spahotel is a lovely place to spend time at. The hotel is clean, spacious and the spa is amazing. The staff are the most helpful and friendly of any hotel ive ever stayed in. They go out of there way to assist in any way. 1 even took a guest to the airport as the taxi didnt turn in time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

20/07/2026: Celebrating my mother’s 82nd birthday called for something truly extraordinary, so my wife and I returned to Kadeau Bornholm for the third time. Spoiler alert: somehow, it just keeps getting better. Nestled on the rugged south coast of Bornholm in Sømarken, Kadeau is the absolute epitome of New Nordic dining. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet wonderfully relaxed, deeply connected to the island's terroir, and totally unpretentious. The menu is a complete masterclass in local foraging, fermentation, and preservation. We kicked things off with an exquisite selection of greens and seafood, beautifully paired with a glass of Jacques Lassaigne 'Les Vignes de Montgueux' Champagne. Every single dish was a work of art served on bespoke ceramics. Highlights included a daring but perfectly balanced scallop toast with mirabelle and ants (which provided a brilliant, citrusy pop of acidity!), and a beautifully earthy, creamy dish served whimsically on a bed of rustic hay. The progression of the meal was flawless. The dry-aged pork with jowl and heart was incredibly tender, bathed in a rich, glossy jus and elevated by the tartness of sloe berry and rowan shoots. And the desserts were on another level—from vibrant, fresh berries and cream, to a masterful, deep-hued blueberry tart, and finally, a breathtaking tart covered entirely in vibrant edible flower petals that tasted every bit as spectacular as it looked. But what truly transforms a great meal into an unforgettable experience is the hospitality. Our Austrian waitress was the absolute star of the front-of-house. She was sweet, deeply knowledgeable about the intricate menu and wine pairings, and went out of her way to ensure my mother felt celebrated. Adding to the intimacy of the evening, the chefs frequently stepped out of the kitchen to present their creations directly to our table, passionately sharing details about their preparation and foraging techniques. Kadeau Bornholm currently holds one Michelin star (alongside a well-deserved Green Star). However, in our humble opinion, this is unequivocally a two-Michelin-star experience housed within a one-star restaurant. Flawless execution, a breathtaking coastal location, and warm, engaging service. We are already looking forward to visit number four! 🥂✨

22/07/2026: Really delicious toasts, good options and we tried a little bit of everything - all good. It takes a little while, but it's worth the wait. Really nice owner, who apparently runs the whole thing himself with a smile, good vibes and enthusiasm. Really cool!

21/07/2026: Cozy café next to the harbor with live music on summer evenings. The nachos are definitely recommended; you get good value for money in Denmark, which is generally more expensive. Only the beer is pricey.

21/07/2026: Double espresso and large cappuccino with the boss's own rum ball which also contains Baileys and you just have to try it when you really enjoy yourself there.

21/07/2026: An overdue review for this excellent and unique establishment. (I liked it so much, I made a second visit.) Beautiful historic building set in fabulous gardens. A short walk to the beach, and hikes though the fabulous nature and history this part of the island has to offer. Most of all the warmth and hospitality from Lotte and her team is unsurpassed. An absolute gem of a place. I hope I am lucky enough to return again one day.

28/06/2026: Wow this place is such an incredible find. It is so cozy and has so much character, I took photos of every room and hallway. The breakfast was delicious - probably my favorite part. The rooms are small, cozy, and all you need for a cleanly, comfortable stay. I had a beautiful view out of my window of the garden. Pension Sandbogaard is in a lovely location, bikable to all the best spots/hikes in Northern Bornholm. The staff were lovely, friendly, and very warm to talk to. I had a lovely stay. Thank you!

22/07/2026: I found a large piece of plastic in the shrimp salad that ended up in my mouth. It looked like a piece from one of the plastic buckets they put their shrimp salad in, and then serve the shrimp salad on a plate in the restaurant. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, the only reaction was: “Oh.” There was no apology or interest in the incident. It was an unpleasant experience, and I expected the staff to take it much more seriously. Mistakes can happen, but the way it is handled matters a lot. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations at all, and therefore I cannot recommend the restaurant

28/02/2026: If you want quick pizza without anything added or taken off then this is a fine place for that. If u want anything taken off or added to ur pizza then there is a good chance they wont follow those instructions.

31/03/2026: We bought some delicious treats to take home. The young saleswoman was very nice. There were only small tables for two on site, so we enjoyed our meal at home.

29/07/2026: The food was delicious. I'm deducting one star because it's generally a bit too hectic there for my taste – too many people, too much hustle and bustle.

26/07/2026: Disappointing dining experience. More of a herring board with very few supplements. I assume for example. fish fillet was from frozen and not fresh. Had a completely different expectation for a fish buffet. In this case, should have read the menu carefully and looked at the buffet first.
