The service is good, with staff who are attentive and passionate about what they do. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to indulge and unwind. 20/09/2025: We visited Cakenhagen, Tivoli Gardens on 19 Sep 2025 after dinner and were lucky to be served by Maryanne. She went above and beyond to get us a table for three, set up a cozy indoor spot, and made my husband’s birthday extra special by bringing the cake I had reserved with a candle. Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made our evening truly memorable. Highly recommend!❤️

23/10/2025: Excellent service from Santiago. The entire staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. Empanada, provoleta, chorizo ​​steak, and chocolate fondant. Everything was excellent. Highly recommended.

04/09/2025: I would not recommend going there. I experienced that the employees were not treated properly and the tone towards them was not very nice. There are many other good places on Amager where you can enjoy a good meal. So find another place where the tone towards the employees is at least proper!!

10/10/2025: We made a last minute reservation for 5:45 on a Friday night and were delighted to get in. The food was delicious and for us, plentiful. We each ordered snacks and bubbles, a single order of Hiramasa to share and each ordered the cod. This was plenty of food for us. Delicious and beautifully presented. The wait staff was gracious and helpful. Highly recommend.

05/10/2025: We were looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The food was good but a bit underwhelming, and our entrée was completely forgotten. When we asked about it, the staff didn’t apologize and gave us attitude instead. Disappointing service for such a well-regarded restaurant.

13/09/2025: There is no better place on Vesterbro feeling at home in even tho you might outbound. In terms of attention and service - G is just the hostess that makes you feel what ever is your santuary - what ever it’s walked around the cornor or across the world. This is your homestead.

22/10/2025: Placed reasonably close to the busy touristy centre, I wanted to find a decent place to eat i.e. somewhere authentic and not there to rip tourists off. Found Amalie near the palace. Lovely little place with a good menu and lovely staff -> all very engaging and happy to talk in fluent English (we did try a bit of Danish but it's a tough language). We had a couple of beers which were gorgeous and smorrebrod and a chicken salad, both fresh and very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

29/09/2025: If you’re into American Football then this is the place to be on Sundays. The bartender so kindly plays the games and the place is full of loud Americans. It’s a wonderful slice of USA for a few hours. The screens are huge and the beer is flowing. Your ears will have to adjust after being in Denmark.

17/09/2025: This pub offers Carlsberg draft beer. They play sports, and the beer is really delicious! It's always packed with soccer fans.

07/09/2025: Great beer, fun atmosphere and 1 good bartender. The bartender with the longish black hair was pleasant and informative. The other bartender on this Saturday couldn’t be bothered. Was only concerned about hanging with his boys on the outside table.

21/08/2025: A small brewery brewing beer with hemp in Christiania with a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy drinks. It’s sort of tucked away but that was nice as it was very quiet and felt intimate and like a real gem of a find! They have other drinks- a few feature cocktails (the Summer Peel Gin was fantastic!!!) and an array of soft drink options too, so don’t be put off if you aren’t really a beer person.

08/08/2025: Awesome!! Was looking for Greek food in the area, FOUND IT!! Authentic Greek food! Highly recommend! We ordered: tzatziki, koutopoulo skewer, souvlaki & gyro combo, feta saganaki and a few Mythos beers! Managed to talk to the owner "Milow Ellinkas" which initially surprised her! Mainly because we're we are. Allowed me to brush up on my (broken) greek while there! Highly recommed!

12/10/2025: ⭐⭐ 2 stars – nice surroundings, but food and price don’t match We visited Kjun Juk Thai Restaurant on October 10th at 8:30 PM and had been looking forward to a good experience. However, we were greeted by an employee without a smile or any kind of friendliness, which set a cool tone from the start. It was busy, and the wait to order was understandable – but the atmosphere lacked presence and warmth. Drinks: The champagne was poured very sparingly, but my non-alcoholic Mai Tai actually tasted really good. The service was generally quick and efficient. Starters: The marinated chicken satay skewers were dry and seemed like they had been reheated, and the accompanying salad was tasteless. The additional dish of toasted bread and sweet and sour chili didn’t make much of an impression either and felt more like filling. Main courses: We ordered two beef dishes. The one with Thai basil tasted good and was hot, but was served with very little rice and boring vegetables that seemed boiled rather than grilled. The other main course with panang curry had tender meat, but the meat was unfortunately not hot, which significantly detracts, since temperature is crucial for the taste experience. The panang sauce tasted good, but again the vegetables and accessories seemed uninspired. Safety and environment: We sat at tables right under a bar counter, where taller guests can actually hit their heads. A server placed a tray hard on the bar, and I felt it pass very close to my head – not safe and a sign of lack of attention. Conclusion: The taste of some of the main courses was good, but the appetizers, the boring vegetables, a main course that was not hot and a price level that is high for Nyhavn, make the whole thing not coherent.
