23/10/2024: Apparently everything is beautiful, unfortunately not delicious enough to make your eyes roll. I mainly recommend the stuffed focaccias, in particular the one with chicken and vegetables. The place inside is very small and outside there is often a queue, to find the desserts you go in the morning they don't take long to finish them all.

23/10/2024: These are the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. It's even so delicious that it's regrettable, A taste that I can no longer taste when I return home. Sit on the street and enjoy amazing bread,

27/10/2024: Yummy sandwiches!! The portions are huge though so I recommend splitting the sandwich with a friend or having a way to transport the second half of it home!

01/11/2024: Great place for a variety of food from different cultures. Definitely worth a visit especially during summer. Got there early when it opened up and easy to get around while it was quiet and not so many people.

30/10/2024: Incredibly cozy place on Amager. The atmosphere is fantastic. The best way I can describe it is that the place resembles a mix between an Irish/British/Scottish pub and Danish inn atmosphere. With gizmos and frills as decorations everywhere. It is a nirvana of coziness and good atmosphere. The service is also top notch. Very attentive and sweet staff who have a smile and a good mood for everyone. The food tasted good. We had wienerschnitzel and it was delicious and full of flavor.

02/11/2024: The food is a mess and points in far too many directions. For example, chicken soup with pieces of mango in it. The wine list is quite limited and you can only get 2 different red wines by the glass. Chaotic atmosphere, with super bad acoustics, where people almost shout across the tables at times when they can't hear each other. Don't count on being able to sit at a two-person table and expect to be able to hear each other in normal conversation. We waited 45-50 minutes between the first 3 courses out of a 7-course menu. When we pointed it out, the dishes suddenly came out like dirt from a baby calf. The waiter was really service minded and the service was what drew the whole experience up.

02/11/2024: I have to say that this was one of nicest dining experiences for some time. We had 3 sandwiches between us (Prawn, Chicken and Salt beef) All three were first class! The staff were welcomeing and fantastic fun, chatting and joining in the jokes. I can see why Schønnemann has been around for so long and has first class reputation. It's a must go where you are in Copenhagen!

Visiting one of the city’s oldest restaurants was a highlight of our trip, and it was worth every bit of the anticipation. A heads-up: booking in advance is a must. We reserved a month and a half ahead, and given its limited hours and cosy setting, walk-ins aren’t usually an option. Take a moment to check their website for details, especially if you’re bringing a little one or need specific accommodations. They run a single lunch service from 11:30 am to 2 pm, inviting diners to slow down, relax, and embrace the Danish spirit of “hygge.” As first-time visitors and foreigners, we felt genuinely welcomed here. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the classic Danish smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) and beer options with care and warmth. If you’re new to smørrebrød, it’s a beautifully unique taste of Denmark—but if it’s not quite your thing, it’s worth noting this is their speciality. We loved how every dish reflected the essence of Danish cuisine, with highlights like the traditional pickled herring. What’s also lovely is their flexibility for vegan and vegetarian diners, making the experience accessible to everyone. Overall, Restaurant Schønnemann is a place to fully enjoy the present moment, from the flavours to the relaxed pace. It’s a perfect, genuine Danish lunch experience that you won’t soon forget.

04/11/2024: Great service, atmosphere and wines! The food was excellent, ordered the menu with 5 dishes for 650, super fair price and nice quantities. Only the dessert was too cold and sour for me, but we went all in and bought two extra desserts because they looked super delicious, which were SPOT ON! Would definitely recommend Frank, especially to wine lovers too because they have that under control too!

18/10/2024: Absolutely fantastic food. There is something for everyone, vegetarians, beef eaters and chicken eaters alike. The fries are seasoned in the most delicious way, so they taste absolutely perfect! In addition, the staff are polite and there is a nice happy atmosphere in the restaurant. 10/10
