26/05/2025: Old fashioned food that tasted like it was made from scratch. When we were there it was on the buffet. And there was plenty for the many visitors. The price is absolutely right for the quality and quantity. The view over Skælskør Harbor is in a class of its own. If you like grandma's food then it is recommended.

27/11/2024: Absolutely the best pita kebab I've had. Delicious fresh salad and red cabbage. The filling is distributed really well, so you get a bite of the whole thing every time. The bread is slightly toasted on a panini grill. The chili sauce is amazing and the owner is super friendly.

22/05/2025: We had booked a table for their seafood festival experience and were definitely not disappointed. A very cozy restaurant with a sweet, attentive staff. The starter was brilliant and the dessert was perfect and oh well, it was just delicious with homemade pasta for the main course. If you like good Italian food, this place is worth a visit.

22/05/2025: Ordered for seafood festival. Starter and dessert were fine and as described in the ad. Main course was really really miserable. Hard maccheroni in tomato sauce and two venus mussels and two cherry tomatoes. That's it.... There was not a hint of taste of king prawns or other seafood. It just tasted like maccheroni in tomato. It was just not okay. Service was okay but the last star could have been a waiter who maybe just said congratulations, now that I had ordered flags for the table and pointed out that it was a 70th birthday. That's just common courtesy and politeness. We thought it was a pretty dull affair.

31/12/2024: Vi troede vi vidste hvad brunch var, men det var før vi prøvede Det vilde køkken. En dejlig oplevelse i skønne omgivelser, hvor kvaliteten kom først. Både hos personalet og maden. Til dato den bedste brunch jeg har oplevet. Det bliver en tilbagevendende tradition i vinterhalvåret. Tak for en dejlig oplevelse.

20/04/2025: Beautiful location, great food, really good service. But a family of five, with a child of 6 to 7 years who was very loud shaking, is ruining a good experience. Remember Emma Gad Tact and tone.

06/05/2025: We were a small group of 4, we have been unlucky before, but thought we would try again. We had booked a table at 6 pm, when we get to the buffet it is actually half empty, no fish again dressing, we wait and finally agree that there will be no fish. Then we go aboard in meat potatoes and gravy, this cannot be eaten as the gravy is cold, and we choose to tell that, after which they just say yes, then we go to someone else, he measures the gravy to 28 degrees, and we are told that their hotplate does not work as it should!!!! The guy who stands and cuts meat is very arrogant and is really not polite, and it was not just us, there were several people who commented, here we are good enough to be a nuisance!! So it was definitely not just us. We have now returned home, and 3 out of 4 have really thin stomachs, so now it has been tried twice, I will not set foot in a restaurant in Slagelse, after all we spent 1300 kr for 4 people. It is great that the flame has served as well as it has been in the media, but unfortunately it is at the expense of us as customers, the staff can't keep up at all!!!!!!! Best regards Lise Harding

18/03/2025: Jeg besøgte et charmerende sted, hvor jeg nød en lækker pizza tilberedt i brændeovn – med en sprød bund og udsøgte smagsnuancer. Derudover var en pasta med trøffel også en bemærkelsesværdig ret, der imponerede med sin raffinerede smag.

28/04/2025: Great location just around the church and the school for HC Andersen. Loads of outdoor seating and very central. The food was fantastic and the service was out of this world. The juices were beautiful and tasty. The waitress was really good in explaining and giving time and it showed that she had experience in dealing with people who could not hear very well so hats off to the young lady that was serving us on the day. The missing star is that the café could do more to enhance the ambience within the café itself and include more local photos or art and no parking nearby.

26/01/2025: Lunch: Food. Got the end slice of the rye bread - you can't do that. Excellent meatballs, but the potato salad was from a bag. Not good. It's so easy and cheap to make yourself. Not much flavor in the otherwise beautiful cakes. 5***** for service and atmosphere/interior. Excellent coffee from a real coffee machine. Super cozy place.
