Orø is fantastic!
BUT it's honestly too bad that TV2 is not available on the TV nor at the inn itself. We had to watch the international match on our mobile...
The breakfast was delicious!
13/09/2025: I was at Orø Kro with my old father, where we had a classic minced steak with fried eggs. The food was really good, and we both left full and satisfied. The service was top notch – a young woman welcomed us with a big smile and even opened 8 minutes early, just for us. It made the experience extra cozy and personal. We can highly recommend Orø Kro to others visiting the island.

04/08/2025: The staff has changed a lot recently but the food is still delicious with reasonable prices and good atmosphere. Please don't be different towards your guests just because we are only two people ordering. Offer the rest of us a smile and friendly words too. It's not fair to treat the higher paying guests well and those who order smaller portions with indifference.

06/09/2025: Stopped by for an ice cream, but was unfortunately very disappointed.
I had a waffle with two scoops (white chocolate/lemon/licorice and chocolate/blackcurrant), but they tasted of almost nothing – it just seemed like neutral vanilla ice cream. My boyfriend had a vanilla soft serve, but it was far too thick and lacking in freshness. We had been looking forward to it, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations at all, so we will not be back.

30/09/2025: Really nice and quiet place, with its own backyard. You are welcome to bring your dog. The staff is super nice and helpful. Everything is perfect, except for one thing… the price. The small meatless buffet cost 239, a piece of meat is about 100. A “large” soda they write is 50CL, but it feels smaller (especially the glass), so you need 2 of them for 45. So expect 429 per person. That is a nice price for a unique relaxed experience. But the price is too high for it to be a place I want to visit often.

We had surf’n turf. One steak was unfortunately very sinewy, but the other on our plate was very good. The chicken burger was also good.

However, there was some Christmas spirit missing in the form of, for example, food to buy and food to buy besides a regular sausage

20/08/2025: Café Hvidesøhus is a cozy place. We got a sandwich with cheese and ham for 89,-kr per piece. It's just on the high end, it tasted fine. Maybe lower the price a bit, that would probably get more people to eat there. The toilet was nice and clean.
