07/09/2025: We ate in the "cafe part", which was staffed by very young but sweet "waiters". We had fish fillet, fish fritters and crayfish tail salad. Sad dishes with fish slathered on thin, boring rye bread and a handful of salad that hadn't been rinsed (disgusting when your food crunches with dirt between your teeth) and then dipped in remoulade. Not recommended.

12/08/2025: Very nice people, great value for money. The mixed salad was actually quite green by Danish standards. Arugula and iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and onion, and plenty of it.
The medium pizza had a generous topping, making it almost impossible to finish; it was very tasty.
The interior was more of a takeaway experience, but the terrace was very nice. A lot of people came by to pick up their food, which also speaks volumes about the quality.
08/08/2025: Super cozy with a lovely atmosphere. The owner is super sweet and they simply make the best durum I've tasted in a long time 💪 Nice that they don't splash everything in dressing and they use good ingredients.. I highly recommend

02/11/2025: Really nice and exciting place where we went to the first Christmas market of the year here in early November.
However, there was some Christmas spirit missing in the form of, for example, food to buy and food to buy besides a regular sausage

14/08/2025: Bad style to close at 4pm… when EVERY place including the door says they close at 5pm…!!
We “only” stopped by for an ice cream. So that was fine. …. But met two people who had walked 20 km and were going to take a break here at the Høkeren.
We had been at the harbour all day. Saw a sign on the door with changed opening hours. Could be a smart idea. Then people could just come before 4pm
03/08/2025: Superb burgers with homemade fries! Simple and effective.
Very friendly waiters and cooks.
Beautiful terrace with a wonderful view of the harbor.
Don't hesitate!

29/06/2025: We held our baby's christening here. It was super easy, at a very reasonable price, and really nice service and food. It is definitely recommended - it is suitable for about 50 people and preferably not too many more

Orø is fantastic!
BUT it's honestly too bad that TV2 is not available on the TV nor at the inn itself. We had to watch the international match on our mobile...
The breakfast was delicious!
13/09/2025: I was at Orø Kro with my old father, where we had a classic minced steak with fried eggs. The food was really good, and we both left full and satisfied. The service was top notch – a young woman welcomed us with a big smile and even opened 8 minutes early, just for us. It made the experience extra cozy and personal. We can highly recommend Orø Kro to others visiting the island.
