21/08/2025: A wonderfully well-maintained hotel, where you can feel the owners' passion and love for their work. Niels and Connie Olesen make every guest feel welcomed and pampered. The breakfast is among the best we've ever had, both for the quality of the ingredients and the wide variety offered. The rooms are new, modern, and impeccably clean. A truly recommended property. Thank you so much.

22/11/2025: If you want the game bodega experience then Den Gamle Skomager is definitely a good choice. We felt like we were stepping into 1990 with the music that suited the people who had probably also been sitting there since then. Well mixed with new young people who got too drunk and fell asleep at the table 😅. We experienced as unknown guests being really well received, except for Laila who apparently wasn't that keen on the male regulars wanting to talk to us. It was a bit more comical than uncomfortable and was completely in line with the 90s experience. We'd like to come back when the clothes have been washed of smoke and debate the difference between a Carlsberg pilsner and an Odense pilsner.

08/08/2025: Awesome!! Was looking for Greek food in the area, FOUND IT!! Authentic Greek food! Highly recommend! We ordered: tzatziki, koutopoulo skewer, souvlaki & gyro combo, feta saganaki and a few Mythos beers! Managed to talk to the owner "Milow Ellinkas" which initially surprised her! Mainly because we're we are. Allowed me to brush up on my (broken) greek while there! Highly recommed!

The food is super delicious and with the finesse and expertise that we love and still with a price level that doesn't run away even though there is quality above the things. Therefore 5 stars on all fronts. We will definitely come again 😉

19/11/2025: After a quick trip across the strait and some shopping for Danish cheese, nice rye bread, we had coffee at Gabriel Jensen's with a flock of geese as our next door neighbors. Very good bun with Danish cheese (with flavor) so what more could you ask for when the view invites you to the entire Öresund.

15/02/2026: I stayed here for three nights and honestly couldn't fault the hotel. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is really good and the location is superb. Rooms are compact but more than adequate. They are clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the staff for making it very special.
