07/04/2026: Very nice location in Hornbæk - close to the water and beach. The breakfast is quite basic and limited. Unfortunately, Cappuccino and other drinks cost extra and they do not prepare fresh egg dishes.

25/03/2026: Got a deal on Gourmetophold, and chose an extra day. Got a nice room with plenty of space. The bed was nice. The bathroom was missing a few hooks, in our opinion. Gourmet dinner with wine menu was very delicious. All five courses were beautifully prepared and the accompanying wines as well. The service was just perfect. The breakfast was beautifully prepared, and plenty of homemade bread, freshly made waffles and more. We were very full. Hope to have the opportunity to visit Hotel Bretagne again.

02/09/2025: We grabbed a couple of coffees and a cardamon bun just in time for the nearby ferry to Drejo. Really lovely flat whites, strong and fresh. Beautiful selection of bread and pastries. We'll be back.

31/08/2025: Overpriced to go order. 50 kr for the juice of three oranges. The cup is not refilled. 50 kr for a bun with butter and thinly sliced ​​sausage.

06/04/2026: Pizza was decent. Guy at the counter was unfriendly. Also, don’t put out hand sanitizer that smelly very strongly of flowers. It’s all I could smell while eating. This is day one stuff guys.

16/01/2026: I've never had such a good pizza before. Ordered number 13, with fries. Taste-wise, they hit the spot. My new regular place, that's for sure.

03/04/2026: Food was very good, we had the beef pho and spring rolls which was delicious but the place felt a little crowded for our liking, we were sat very close to another couple and I had to squeeze past tables of people to get to the bar to pay for the meal. We did pre-book as it was full with hour wait when we tried to go the night before.

01/04/2026: • The broth lacks that authentic flavour. • Since when do fresh spring rolls not come with fish sauce? • Doesn't give off an authentic Vietnamese vibe. • A bit overpriced for what it is. • Hands down the worst Phở I’ve tasted. • Honestly, it takes effort to be this bad. • Non-EU cards are subject to a surcharge.

18/10/2025: Really disappointing fish ‘n’ chips. Especially in a fishing village like Vorupør, you expect to get fresh fish. But our food consisted almost entirely of breading. It actually seemed like frozen food - Pfft!

14/10/2025: A nice self-service restaurant with friendly staff, delicious food, and a wide variety of beers on tap. The prices are very reasonable by Danish standards. The restaurant offers a lovely view of the beach. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, as the restaurant is always busy. There's an ice cream stand outside next to the entrance, where you can buy soft serve ice cream with a variety of toppings.

13/04/2026: The assessment of the atmosphere is perhaps a bit unfair, due to the fact that we were at Krabben on a Monday, but that did not change the actual dining experience. We both got 2 starters: Cauliflower - cauliflower cream - capers - hazelnuts - Vesterhavs cheese, and Tartar of beef thigh - almond crunch - chili mayo - Vesterhavs cheese - cress. The cauliflower was really good, but the crispy capers ruined quite a lot of what a caper can do; namely adding a little acid and salt. They tasted like lightly salted root vegetable chips after that treatment. The tartar was unfortunately the worst I have ever had. Really bland and bland, and unfortunately they have chosen to make a completely different tartar on the evening menu than the one they serve for lunch - because the one for lunch is actually excellent. It lacked a lot of balance - a little mustard or capers / caper berries (which are not roasted to death) to break up the somewhat overwhelming taste experience that raw beef and cress give would have done wonders. Furthermore, the chili mayo tasted neither of chili nor of real mayo, but instead had a strange aftertaste of the bitterness from sea buckthorn. P.S. The waiter was really sweet, smiling, welcoming and understanding, and it's a shame that the food can't live up to her level.

29/03/2026: Nice hotel not far from anything. Stayed there in connection with a concert in Sønderjyllandshallen. The rooms are not new anymore, but the beds are good, and it is quiet at night. A small annoying thing was that the bathroom smelled a bit, and you could see that there was starting mold in the corners of the bathroom ceiling. The breakfast is fantastic, and there is a large selection. The rooms where you eat are also very good, and there is a good atmosphere. Good chairs and tables and a nice indoor climate.

18/03/2026: The only reason for 3 stars in location is that it is difficult to park a large box car and large trailer nearby. Breakfast 9/10 perfect size and nice selection. There may be a little more noise than at others but that is definitely due to the brilliant bar they have in their basement. The beds in the rooms I have slept in are really good, some duvets are better than others 😊. The rooms are nice but the invetar is old.
