14/12/2025: This review is for Return downstairs. We had read about a "cozy atmosphere" downstairs, but the reality was a bit jarring—it felt more like a bunker. Compounding this, the room was very loud, primarily from groups having their meals before a night of partying. The advertised fine dining experience also fell short. The promised carefully chosen wine pairing for the three-course menu was simplified to a suggestion to just stick with one red wine, with the candid reason that the others were "boring." The initial experience definitely missed the mark on the high-quality, quiet night we had hoped for.

13/12/2025: We were 6 people, all our adult children and us - phenomenal, nothing less! We will come again!

14/11/2025: Nice place, but not quite Vietnamese food, in my opinion. They try to make it something luxurious, but forget about the quality - some of the dishes didn't taste like anything. Quail for the main course, I'm sorry, was a disaster, very little sauce, for the sticky rice and what to do with all those legs so they don't end up in the rice! The best thing was the 2 spring rolls and the dessert, out of 8 things. The staff were absolutely the best 🙏 When it got full, you couldn't talk to anyone except those to the right and left of you.

14/11/2025: I had a fantastic experience at The Vietnamese restaurant. There were five of us, and we ordered several dishes. The Beef Pho was very delicious. Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Sizzling Pancake) was crispy Bún Thịt Nướng (Vermicelli with Grilled Pork). Cà Ri Gà (Vietnamese Chicken Curry) However, the Bò Kho (Beef Stew) was not authentic to the Vietnamese flavor.

17/10/2025: I stayed at this hotel this past August when visiting Copenhagen. I was extraordinarily pleased! The room was a bit small, but since I was by myself, this didn't affect me too much. The rain shower was really nifty, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding- there were tons of options to choose from. I really made sure to load up on food at this time, haha! The location was unbeatable- Tivoli, the train station and nightlife locations all were a short walk from the hotel. I will certainly consider staying here again when I visit Copenhagen next.

15/06/2025: It was our first experience in Denmark, and we couldn't have wished for a better start. The place has a fantastic concept that we can highly recommend to anyone who appreciates genuine atmosphere and musical charm. It felt like stepping back 30 years in time – when you were still allowed to smoke indoors, and the atmosphere was intimate and authentic. We were pleasantly surprised by Signe (we hope we remember her name correctly), who dedicated a song to us – a really nice and personal gesture. The pianist and the other singers also delivered a strong and atmospheric performance. We were there on Wednesday – and we came back on Friday, it was that good! We felt very welcome and almost like regulars, even though we were the only tourists. We will definitely come back one day when we are back in Denmark.

28/10/2025: Over in Copenhagen for a week, excellent little bar, wide variety of drinks on tap, excellent food from Fattys. I am from England so for me prices are high for me, but lhappy hour is better 🤣

20/10/2025: Cozy and raw. Large selection of drinks. Unfortunately, the acoustics are quite bad.

12/11/2025: One of the nicest places I've been. Have been here a few times, and every time is a pleasure. The service is good and they are always smiling - and the beer is excellent. The prices are just as they should be. The atmosphere and decor create a really nice atmosphere.

01/11/2025: Vinstue 90 is one of those places where time feels frozen. The lighting is dim, but not cozy — more like an old fluorescent tube that refuses to die out. People sit close together, yet far apart. Conversations repeat themselves as if they’ve been going on for years. There’s a heaviness in the air, as if no one really wants to be here, but can’t leave either. Many come to forget, but end up remembering everything they’re trying to suppress. Vinstue 90 is not mean — just empty. A place where you feel the silence amidst the noise, and where eyes seek contact but rarely find it.

23/09/2025: Review of Restaurant California in Frederikshavn Restaurant California at Lodsgade 4 in Frederikshavn offers an authentic and satisfying burger experience that I highly recommend. I visited while in Skagen for the day and was drawn to the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Texas Burger, which came with a warm bun, a 200g beef patty, salsa, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and homemade dressing, all served with crispy fries. The flavors were bold, with the jalapenos adding just the right amount of spice, and the homemade dressing tying everything together perfectly. My wife chose the Hollywood Burger, featuring the same delicious 200g beef patty, topped with sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and the house-made dressing, also accompanied by fries. She loved the richness of the mushrooms and onion rings, which gave the burger a unique, hearty flavor. For our daughter, the Children’s Burger was a hit. A simple, well-sized burger served with fries, it was the perfect portion for her. Restaurant California not only delivered on flavor but also on service. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. 14/09/2025: Your taste buds will love you for ordering food at Grano & Luppolo From my first visit, a wonderful atmosphere mixed with contagious smiles and coziness welcomed me. And I was immediately tempted by a varied menu. With everything from the expected pizzas, various pasta dishes to Sicilian specialties. Grano & Luppolo is a genuine Italian pizzeria that exudes coziness and where they take pride in making things from scratch. Quality is the key word - from the choice of ingredients to the machines used in the kitchen. Most recently, I ordered a fresh pasta tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, freshly made Italian sausage, truffle & parmesan. And I was sent straight back the taste of a summer vacation in Liguria. Nice balance between the taste of truffle and the Italian sausage. I have a new favorite on the menu! I can only recommend that you drop by and taste the delights, for lunch to dinner - or have a chat with the place about some delicious Italian food for your next company event! Oh yes! The location is perfect - right next to Menu. An obvious option is to order the food, do the day's shopping on the other side of the street... and then grab the pizza, pasta, etc. to take home to the family!
