09/09/2025: Probably the best ice cream in Aalborg. Generous scoops and a wide range of homemade ice cream sorbets. Great location on the pedestrian street with tables and chairs outside. Open until late in the evening. Perfect for those who want a dessert after a visit to the restaurant.

19/08/2025: A 🍨 🍨 🍦 decent ice cream considering we are not in Italy, do not add the white cream which I mistook for cream because it is terrible, very sweet it seems like candy reduced to cream. To satisfy a craving it is fine and acceptable. The staff is kind and patient.

19/08/2025: Ordered a one-person lunch at 14:00 for take-away and was told it would take half an hour to make. I showed up at about 14:35 and the order was still not ready and the only guy in the whole restaurant did not speak Danish or English, but just kept saying "10 minutes". After a whole bunch of back and forth between two workers on the phone and the guy in the restaurant, the order was ready at 14:55 but he kept asking for cash although I had said more than once I only had card, and on top of that it took about five more minutes for him to type in the order in the machine, so during all this I said that I did not want to pay full price for the meal as it was half an hour late after they had already had half an hour before to make it even though they had absolutely no customers. He refused but as I was about to leave without the food all he offered was an extra rice, to which I said no. I left the restaurant and had biked some distance away when I received a phone call from one of the phone-workers, who offered to give me 20% discount if I returned to the restaurant, but at this point I had waited for a little over an hour for the food and was already some way from the restaurant, so I said that I honestly didn't feel like 20% was enough. They didn't want to give more discount and I didn't need the free appetizer they said they could give instead, so I said no thanks. I was extremely frustrated at this point and really felt robbed of my time. Everyone I talked to either spoke no english or very poor english, so even the communication was just draining. There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Copenhagen, so I would highly recommend taking you're money to one of them instead of here.

31/08/2025: Delicious place to visit, really accommodating staff, a clear menu, just super easy.

29/08/2025: A slightly special arrangement where parties are placed in the basement. We got the table furthest from the stairs, which was a bit of a challenge as we had a guest with walking difficulties. Fortunately, the staff was attentive and guided the person to a more convenient route. The food was good, but it seemed like there was a bit of understaffing. The drinks came drip by drip (ha ha), and the meat was served long before the side dishes. Our location also made it difficult for the staff to keep an eye on us, which was a bit of a shame.

11/06/2025: Got 2 sliders for lunch - pepperoni and kebab. Really good taste, and crispy bottom all the way. A bit heavy on the bread at the edge, where it was very thick. On the border of double bottom. Otherwise delicious taste and chili dressing that is just right 👏

04/08/2025: I have visited them many times over the years, and it is usually a good experience – both in terms of food, atmosphere and service. Therefore, it was unfortunately disappointing that the level this time did not live up to the otherwise good standard that I am used to. Right from the start, there were problems with the timing. Our welcome drink came only after the appetizers, and both the appetizer and the appetizer were served at the same time – which seemed rushed and ill-conceived. On the other hand, we had to wait a very long time for the main courses, without anyone really giving an explanation or apology. Unfortunately, the service was characterized by a lack of commitment, which is usually one of the restaurant's strong points. It seemed as if there was a lack of attention to detail. The food still tasted good, but the experience as a whole did not connect in the same way as previous visits. I hope this is not the new standard. Because the evening was max for 1½ stars, but the early visits drag a little. But San Gioanni - you can do much better than what I experienced.

19/07/2025: A good Italian restaurant, but it doesn't stand out. The staff seemed inexperienced, but they made up for it with their friendliness and a very service-minded attitude. A good evening in Aalborg with good friends!

05/08/2025: Amazing experience at Indian Shahnai Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors. Uncle Pervez Ahmed Rajput, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. We enjoyed not just the meal but his warm company too. Highly recommended!

29/07/2025: Their espresso-based milk drinks are really good. Every time I got one, the milk was frothed successfully so the coffee was served with the perfect texture. In that sense, it was one of the best coffee spots I tried in the city.
