14/08/2026: Cosy restaurant decorated to perfectly match the dishes it offers. The two of us ordered a Smørrebrød selection of 10 small dishes from the chef. More than enough for two, and everything was very flavorful and beautifully presented!

06/08/2026: 🥪🚂 Guldkalven Viborg – highly coated in just the right way 🚂🥪 Guldkalven is a bit of a special size. A semi-modern smørrebrød restaurant in an old train station, where for the almost suspiciously modest sum of around 150 kr. you can satisfy the Danish lunch hunger. I had heard both praise and criticism, so of course there was only one solution: The professional opinion machine had to get to work 😂🧐 I ordered the Kokkens Platte with mixed smørrebrød and a couple of confident Hancock sodas to wash down the survey with 🥤😎 And wait a minute – I was actually impressed. This is not a piece of rye bread with three sad slices of cold cuts thrown on top like a municipal lunch box from 1997 😂 Here is homemade rye bread, fresh ingredients and HIGHLY COATED smørrebrød 🥪🔥 Most of the pieces were really sharp, and you can clearly see that the kitchen actually cares about this. For the price, it's almost cheeky. I've paid significantly more for sandwiches that had about the same personality as a wet dishcloth 💸😅 The surroundings in the old train station also work surprisingly well 🚂 There's charm and authenticity, even if it gets a bit crowded and loud in some places – you almost risk knowing the pension plan of the person sitting next to you before you've finished your herring 😂 They're just missing the last 10% before I get up, bow deeply and give them five stars. But the direction is absolutely right, the price is really sharp, and the kitchen deserves a big nod of appreciation 👏 I'd love to come back – especially if you find the last 10%, because then the Golden Calf will really start to get horns 🐂😄 ⭐🥪🥪🥪🥪 4 out of 5 highly-covered sandwiches The fifth one is still standing on the platform waiting for the last little gastronomic train. 🚂😂

04/08/2026: Cozy place, but the food was very variable and expensive in terms of quality. We came 6 adults and ordered food and drinks. Some of the food was nice (Pil pil shrimp, which consisted of 6 shrimp for 149 kr. and bread) and Chavre cheaud (goat cheese salad), carpaccio and then my adult son and I got charcuterie for 2 for 499 kr. The bread we all got was tough and not of very good quality (especially for a tapas restaurant). The goat cheese salads and shrimp were okay, but the charcuterie plate and carpaccio, which is the core service in a tapas restaurant, were disappointing and the hams, cheese and pesto, etc. were all of a quality you could have bought yourself in the local netto for much cheaper money. The goat cheese salad was the best and was the only one that was worth the price in terms of size and quality.

03/08/2026: Cozy cafe with good service and a nice atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and worth the price, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It tasted good, but didn't give the big "wow" experience. All in all, a nice place if you want a good and affordable breakfast.

20/05/2026: Stopped by by chance and refueled with a buttered roll and coffee. 25,-kr. A find for the price. Sweet and friendly service.

20/07/2026: Our family (parents, two children, and grandmother) has now stayed at the Toscana Ristorante Padborg ten times for an overnight stop on our way to the Danish North Sea coast. The apartment was always very clean, and the staff extremely friendly. We'll be staying there for the eleventh time on our return trip. In my opinion, the area isn't really suitable for a multi-day stay. The food in the restaurant is very tasty, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced. The breakfast offered is also adequate and the price is acceptable.

17/07/2026: Italian dishes are delicious; good cook. Pleasant service and pleasantly busy. The apartment is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, but unfortunately, you won't sleep well if you are sensitive. A train regularly runs over the adjacent track. And the smoke from the oven can still be smelled late into the night if you keep the room window open.

08/07/2026: The food was nicely presented, but we had to wait a very long time for our food. Guests who arrived a long time after us got their food before us. They had forgotten our order, but offered no compensation. The fish fillet was good. The burger was raw inside and had to be sent back

21/06/2026: A really good experience. The atmosphere is pleasantly calm. There are good acoustics in the fine dome which is located in rural surroundings but fortunately within walking distance of the train. The service is present and knowledgeable without being intrusive or pretentious. Great balance you feel welcome. Our domain menu is recommended 16 servings with a focus on the good ingredients which in different ways are repeated in the different series of dishes. The pigeon's heart and liver are used in a small bite with blackcurrant and beetroot before the perfectly fried pigeon breast in mushroom sauce. The turbot's leg and head are the base in a stock for a starter while a very delicate turbot stuffed with motkles is served. A single Riesling and the dessert wine were simply too sweet for my taste but otherwise the wine menu was well adapted, classic and subdued without being boring. The beer selection is limited but is based on Ebeltoft farm brewery and then you are in good hands. We really enjoyed the 4.5 hours that flew by. It's great to have such a good restaurant in central Jutland. Quality over theater. It's appreciated.

06/08/2026: 2 chose pepper steak which both should have the same degree of doneness, medium, neither was right. The sauce tasted nothing otherwise ok. 2 schnitzels which were edible but so-so. The children took homemade breaded chicken, however they forgot to write that it was coconut breaded which changes the dish a lot. The children's burger we were supposed to have was supposed to be an "empty burger" came with cheese and a lot of vegetables (which didn't exactly fit in a children's burger).

21/07/2026: We celebrated my husband's birthday and the weather was lovely. We got a table outside in the courtyard. Really nice. We all ordered 3 House Steaks. One 300g and 2 200g. Also rosé wine which was kept cold and topped up when the glasses were almost empty. It tasted really good. Can recommend

01/09/2026: Went here for lunch and absolutely loved it. This tiny little café is so unassuming, but the food was incredible! We got the croque madame and the tuna sandwich, and both were delicious. Each came with a generous, super fresh salad. The wine was great too. You can sit inside the cozy little café or out in the courtyard on a nice day. Such a charming, low-key spot with seriously good food. Loved it!

30/08/2026: Lovely tiny cafe in the back courtyard. It gets quite busy around lunch time in the weekdays but the short menu of salads and sandwiches are great. Sardines dish is stellar.
