02/11/2026: A dream place for gluten-allergic people, but their cardamom rolls unfortunately didn’t appeal to my taste! Are you gluten-allergic and have trouble finding a bakery where you can freely choose between different types of baked goods? Then HUG in Paris should be one of your first stops! It’s rare that I come across a bakery with such a wide selection of gluten-free products. We’re not just talking about bread here, but also cakes and pastries that are usually hard to find in gluten-free versions. And the best part? They proudly write on the wall: “Don’t worry, everything you find in this shop is gluten-free.” How amazing that people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease have a place like this! I don’t have a diagnosed gluten allergy myself, but I have friends who are gluten-intolerant, so I thought it was interesting to try their selection. Their gluten-free bread was a positive surprise. It wasn't nearly as dry as gluten-free bread is often, and you can have it sliced, so it's easy to take home. But now for the cardamom roll… I'm a bit of a cardamom roll enthusiast and have tasted about 30 different varieties in Copenhagen alone. So I was naturally curious to try a gluten-free version in Paris. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. To me, it simply didn't taste like a cardamom roll. Cardamom was hard to find, and the flavor was much more vanilla-like. The consistency was also significantly different than what I associate with a classic cardamom roll. Of course, baking without gluten is a challenge, and I have great respect for bakers who work with alternative ingredients. But I still think that the flavor should have a clear connection to the baked goods you're trying to recreate. I actually only ended up eating half of it. And believe me, it wasn’t because of a lack of appetite! I’ll happily eat two or three good cardamom rolls from a regular bakery if they’re tasty enough. But I simply didn’t want to finish this version, and I wouldn’t order it again. My overall rating: HUG deserves high praise for offering an impressive selection of gluten-free baked goods. For people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, it must be a fantastic experience to visit a bakery where the entire range is gluten-free. Their bread was a positive experience, and the concept is excellent. The cardamom roll, on the other hand, was far from my personal favorite, both in terms of taste and consistency. But one disappointing cardamom roll shouldn’t overshadow what HUG does well. A highly recommended stop for anyone looking for gluten-free baked goods in Paris!

27/09/2026: My wife and I dined here early SEP 2026. We had a reservation. The menu is straight forward: select the number of courses from the fixed menu. Then decide if you want wine of juice menu to go with the food. We chose the three dish fixed menu with wine. The staff was great - kind, attentive and professional. The food was absolutely really tasty - and three courses was enough for my wife and I. The paired wines were awesome - really good wines that went along to the food real well. Definitely a place to visit when in Aalborg - good value for your money.

01/10/2026: Very difficult to find faults or things that were not right. I was a satisfied man after the visit, and had a wonderful experience both in terms of food and with beer and schnapps 😊

15/09/2026: Fantastic food. Big pieces of open sandwiches and the most amazing butter fried fish fillet with hand peeled shrimp. The butter fried fish fillet is a must. Really sweet and fast service. Cozy old-fashioned atmosphere with old cozy melodies playing in the background. Definitely recommended.

10/10/2026: This has 4.7 ??? For all thinking about ordering pizza just look at these pictures. On the website and wolt completely different pictures. Plus there are small particles from the pizza box on pizza. Also we ordered through wolt were we wrote comment for no bacon, got bacon..

10/09/2026: The beach at what is probably the most-posted bend in Denmark's road north has a large beach car park and a café. The crossing itself is easy to manage, and the beach beyond is very spacious and beautiful.

Unfortunately you're always so busy but that's just a sign that there are others besides me who like it. I come here every time I'm in Copenhagen for work. I come all the way from Aalborg. 29/08/2026: A hidden gem in Copenhagen. Amazing pizza at a surprisingly affordable price. The place is small and cozy; keep in mind that they don’t take reservations. Definitely worth a visit!
