01/07/2026: A truly lovely place, both for the warm welcome and the excellent food (the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender, for example). There was a slight wait upon arrival, but it only amounted to about fifteen minutes!

15/07/2026: Oh my God, what a venue! I came here for a work event and felt like a queen working out of a palace for a day. It is absolutely gorgeous with very well decorated, valid and well maintained rooms. There are various rooms that can be used as different areas for staging, food and other activities too.

16/06/2026: We have just held a huge 50th birthday party in Moltke's Palace, and what an experience! The setting of the house cannot be more beautiful or wilder, the food and drink are sublime, and the employees are fantastic. We have been working with project manager Ida for months, who is super pleasant and systematic. On the evening itself, banquet chef Thor took over and had a complete hand in everything. Not to mention a super friendly serving staff. We wanted a party out of the ordinary with gimmicks, and it was so well received. The tour of the palace's salons, later the banquet hall and even later the cocktail bar was an experience we will not forget. Huge recommendation from here!

18/07/2026: The original Sticks'n'Sushi still offers superb food from the Japanese kitchen in the always cozy Nansensgade. We chose several small dishes, all of which were fantastically delicious. The waiter was young, new to the profession, clearly nervous and therefore somewhat fumbling. She couldn't really answer questions about the food, and didn't make an effort to find out the answers to the few questions we asked when we had doubts about whether we had received the right dish. But never mind, we recognized most of the excellent food that was served.

12/07/2026: Ordered “as good as it gets” for two of us. First course took 1 hour to reach our table. Wouldn’t have been so frustrating hadn’t our daughter ordered 3 dishes (One roll, one fried item, and one grilled). All of those came and were eaten before we received anything other than edamame. The food, once it came, was excellent. Waited for 20+ minutes for our service person to come by so we could ask for the check. Never appeared. Stood up and asked another waitress for our check, she said our waitress would be right with us. 15 minutes later, still no check.

16/07/2026: Super nice traditional Danish 🇩🇰 bakery just outside Ebeltoft. Excellent quality food, great variety of sweet and savoury. There is the option to eat in and also have a beer 🍺😀. Would highly recommend, for quality and service.

15/07/2026: It was about a 6 km walk to and from the bakery. And every single meter was absolutely worth it. I asked if I could order in English, which wasn't a problem at all. The rolls, and especially the Ebeltoft Stang, were incredibly delicious. We enjoyed the Ebeltoft Stang for three afternoons – it was heavenly.

08/07/2026: Istid makes really, really good ice cream. The thing with ice cream is that texture means a lot. Getting rid of those tiny ice crystals and making the ice cream incredibly smooth and creamy is really important, and I think making it with liquid nitrogen contributes a lot to that. The texture here is honestly top-notch. Really, really top-notch. I had the salted caramel, and it was delicious. They also make their own waffles, which is a really nice touch. That being said, I think the place lacks a bit of creativity when it comes to flavors. They have a fairly basic selection, and then you can add different toppings yourself. And yes, you can definitely build something more exciting that way. But for me, when I go out for ice cream, I usually want to satisfy my sweet tooth with interesting flavor combinations. Here, I felt like my ice cream nerdiness was more satisfied than my sweet tooth. I also understand why it's like this. Since they're making every portion to order with liquid nitrogen, it probably limits how many different mix-ins and flavor combinations they can realistically offer. And calling it a gimmick wouldn't be fair either, because the liquid nitrogen is exactly what gives the ice cream its incredible texture. So while the creaminess and mouthfeel are some of the best I've had, I just wanted a bit more creativity and complexity in the flavors. For that reason, I'm giving it 4 out of 5.

14/07/2026: Beer selection not great, one decent stout, the other is some kind of weird chocolate cake drink which was nasty. EDIT: As I noted in a review of another local bar (Another Mikkeller location), I realized some of my reviews were perhaps overly critical in terms of star ratings. I am updating a couple of reviews for that reason. As my original post mentioned, I was not a fan of the beer selection they had, although the stout they had was the best of any of the Mikkeller locations I visited, though I would rather have a Guinness, at least it was pretty good. The other dark beer they had at the time was extremely sweet and not something I would ever order again. The staff was actually really nice and did their best to accommodate our large party. The room we were in had a door leading outside which we were able to prop open, otherwise it would have been unbearably hot down there. It isn't a large bar, but they do have some outdoor seating as well. Overall, the location is pretty good, a decent cozy place, but not great for a large party (You'd need to go to War Pigs to handle a large group easily).
