18/05/2026: We have been coming to Sletten Kro for many years, and it has gradually become a tradition for us to start the summer there - along with all the other good excuses to go back 😊 Another really lovely evening, where everything just worked. We were 4 adults and chose the complete menu with a few small changes along the way, which the kitchen handled without any problems. This meant that everything fell into place perfectly for all of us. The wine menu adapted to the food worked really well, and the whole experience was lifted by a fine collaboration with our waiter, who went to great lengths to ensure that we once again had a fantastic experience. Food, wine, service and atmosphere came together in a higher unity - and Sletten Kro proves again why we keep coming back year after year.

03/05/2026: The food tasted good, the place was cozy and the waiters were nice but I got food poisoning. A bit surprising for a Michelin restaurant where you have to pay so much for small dishes.

06/06/2026: I have to start this review by saying this is one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants I've ever been in my life. There's something about the way the owner have decorated it that's mesmerizing and puts many other restaurants to shame. Such was my amaze that I had to ask them more details about it and they were kind enough to talk about it. Now that I said that, what about the food? Simply amazing! I ordered their regular burger and was greeted with this huge, delicious piece of art, cookeoto perfection and filled with succulent sauce. If I would have known of this place at the start of my trip I would have visited every single day. It's that good. Props to the owner, who are kind, skilled and amazing people. Nothing but the best to them. Recommended as THE place to eat while in town

15/05/2026: I ordered the fish burger with fries, both were quite delicious, but there wasn't much fish. Next time I come, I'd like to order the fried fish. P.S. The thick-cut fries were delicious. The seating and ambiance were very interesting!

15/05/2026: Best shrimp burger! If you don’t know what to order from the street food market, then I would recommend this place. The bun is also very good!

24/05/2026: Truly authentic place with very attentive service and primarily homemade or imported specialty food of the highest quality and in plentiful quantities. A must try in Esbjerg, but remember to book a table.

07/06/2026: Small, cramped place. Dirty and greasy tables. Oiled walls. Cramped, poorly placed, no exhaust. I asked for some with noodles and ginger, but instead I got noodles in soup, which did not taste good at all. There was nothing to absorb the liquid. It is so small, cramped, with poor seating that you do not sit there for 1 second longer after you have eaten. Then you were out again after 10 minutes. They have closed all the sockets, and I had to pay 40 kr (additional) to have my mobile charged for the few minutes you sit there.

06/06/2026: I went because of Google and the pad thai and fried rice were excellent, €14 each. The only downside was that there was no menu in Spanish and the girl kept asking me about the ingredients drawn on a piece of paper, and I thought she meant allergens; we couldn't understand each other. I would recommend a menu in Spanish, but the food was delicious and the ingredients were good.

05/06/2026: It was one of the most disappointing coffees I’ve ever had. I came here because of the many recommendations and glowing reviews. When I arrived, I saw a male barista carefully crafting each cup of coffee for the customers ahead of me. There were 3–4 people waiting patiently, and every drink seemed to be made with great attention to detail. However, when it was my turn and I ordered an iced latte, a female staff member happened to come out and take my order. Instead of preparing the coffee fresh, she opened the refrigerator, took out a pre-made coffee, poured in some milk, and served it immediately. As someone who genuinely loves coffee and made a special trip to try this place, I found the experience quite disappointing. It felt very different from the care and craftsmanship I had seen being given to the customers before me.

28/05/2026: Amongst the very best coffee in Copenhagen! Nice staff, relaxed atmosphere and a place with focus on coffee not a 1000 different things. There is a toilet, you just need to go behind the counter to use it.
