06/01/2026: Standard chain hotel. Nice rooms with great views, spartan breakfast and a perfectly good gym. The surrounding area is heavily influenced by construction activities. Pleasant and solution-oriented service. Inconveniently located for those without a car, but bus no. 18 or the boat to Sluseholmen will get you there, or you can use the newly opened Metro station in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel offers free outdoor parking. The room is not cleaned, and you have to collect towels and toilet paper yourself from the reception. Snow in Copenhagen made the January stay a unique experience ❄ Updated late summer 2025: The hotel has shifted the check-in time so that you get fewer hours in the room for the same price. It's "shrinkflation". The room was still available, but for a cost of 200 DKK. It's both petty and greedy. The next thing is that you have to pay extra for breakfast. We left our luggage in the car and took the 200-kroner note with us to the bodegas in Sydhavnen. Updated January 2026: There was a rumor, now breakfast is no longer included in the stay. The hotel charges several hundred kroner per person for this. Based on previous experience, it is not worth it. So we chose to have breakfast in the neighborhood and thus support the local business community. Parking is also no longer included in the stay, and entails an additional cost for the stay. The hotel is still under renovation and clearly shows this. So why on earth do we still choose to stay there when we are in Copenhagen. One thing is that we were not aware that parking is no longer included. The other is that we like to have, albeit temporarily, the zip code 2450, we support BK Frem, when we live in Copenhagen. However, we will probably have to reconsider our plans for accommodation on future visits to Copenhagen. (Being pushed out of Sydhavnen and into Høje Taastrup due to gentrification is, after all, an experience of the real Copenhagen).

31/12/2025: Not a 4-star hotel – at most 2.5 stars. Rooms were far apart, and despite asking, no solution was found. Information about the New Year's Eve party was incorrect. Very poor room cleaning: bed linens were not changed, only one room had fresh towels, dirty floor, no bath mat or toiletries. Not recommended.

06/06/2025: A unique bowl with almonds. This added a sense of sweetness and nuttiness that went hand in hand with the Asian flavors. The rice was quite simple compared to other sushi rice, however. Very tasty.

29/05/2025: The poke bowl was super good and the staff very friendly!

17/11/2025: Got a chicken noodle dish that was really delicious. You also get a small cup of chili so you can dose it. It works really well.

17/01/2026: The food was really delicious! We ordered fresh and delicious grilled fish, barbecue dishes, tabbouleh and kibbeh. It was a fantastic experience that I would definitely recommend

28/11/2025: Nice vibes. Popped in here at Friday lunchtime for a beer and a wine. Friendly service and decent prices. 65 kroner for a large bottled beer and 100 DKK for a Sangoviese wine.

11/10/2025: It's completely run down outside. There are always euro pallets, broken things, broken glass and cigarette butts floating around. No responsibility and totally unappealing to sit in. It's a shame, the place used to be so much better.

29/08/2025: Tourist trap. Expensive fast food fish and chips with factory remoulade sauce (too expensive dish for them to use this) and a waiter. At least they were open when the restaurant next door was closed. If you choose to go here you should have a reservation, otherwise you can only get way too overpriced fast food fish and chips. This is not a fancy restaurant but it is priced that way, beware.

24/10/2024: Amazing staff! The woman who handled our order was very patient, helpful and polite. They didn’t have all the ingredients for our order, so she asked us to choose something else from the menu so our order would be complete. She also gave us free water while we waited for our food! :) Such a great experience. Food was good and appropriately spiced.

12/11/2025: Often a lovely hot dish, Danish cuisine - you can sit outside or inside. I'm glad that Paraplyen is close to where I live and I've been coming there for many years.

21/11/2025: Best place in the area and maybe in the whole of greater Copenhagen, especially your shawarma meat!!! It has the right taste 🤤 and you can see it's 100% meat, not like the others in town, they don't know how shawarma should taste! always good service and friendly staff

28/08/2025: This is the worst kebab you can find in Denmark, only in Ballerup can a place like this achieve this rating. If you are into cooked unidentifiable meat with no taste and a lot of ready-made ingredients and poor kitchen hygiene, I can only recommend this kebab place

03/10/2025: Go there for the view! Self-service, small but o.k. menu. You need to buy a ticket @ ground floor to get up there, but you can also visit the exhibitions for that!

07/12/2025: Delicious sandwiches with varied fillings 😁 I had one with salmon, potatoes and tzatziki and salad 😁 it was good

01/10/2025: Used to be a regular, but not after my last visit here - charged me double and refused to rectify the mistake. I paid for mine and a friend's lunch by card, and could see from the terminal and my bank app that it went through. Nevertheless the owner said that it hadn't and insisted I pay again with another card, assuring me that if both were charged I could email them for a refund. Sure enough, I was charged twice, I emailed them with full details of the transaction and card used, but the owner refused to issue a refund unless I gave him access to my private bank statements.
