11/07/2026: I honestly don't understand the hype around this place. The meat tasted really strange. It didn't really taste like meat or spices, and there was almost no aroma or real shawarma taste. It was just very flat and tasteless. I also had the impression that the meat could have been frozen for a very long time, because it didn't seem particularly fresh. The service wasn't good either. The staff seemed surly and a bit arrogant, almost as if they were doing someone a favor by serving the food. I just got my roll directly in my hand without the normal plastic holder or tray, so I had to fight to keep the filling and sauce from spilling out all over the place. At the same time, I saw another customer, who was speaking Arabic to them, get his roll served in such a plastic holder. It honestly gave a strange feeling that customers weren't treated the same way. Afterwards, they asked if the food was good. I just said it was okay, and the employee seemed almost annoyed that I didn't praise it. The whole experience and atmosphere was just weird. The food wasn't good, the service was bad, and the place didn't live up to the hype at all. There are other local shawarma places that I think are much better. I won't be back and can't recommend the place.

22/06/2026: I ate here yesterday, today I got so sick that I couldn't go to work. I know it's their food that made me sick because I only eat once a day and got sick about 8 hours after I ate here.

11/03/2026: Didn't accept credit card. Charged 30 DKK for 3 small plastic glasses Charged a very high service fee for just a pizza and got very mad when we asked to remove it.

09/12/2025: They keep raising their prices. The “Lykkeposer” used to include a variety of items, even pastries, but now they contain only bread, which would be fine on its own. The issue is that the prices have increased significantly while the quantity and variety have decreased. I understand that inflation affects costs, but the pace of these price hikes combined with the reduced contents feels unreasonable.

13/06/2026: Had such a wonderful experience at Brasserie Hugo. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming, making it the perfect place for a nice evening. What really made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. The service was seamless and added so much to the overall experience.

09/10/2025: 2025 update Still good food and good quality. I still buy take away from here. My local Asian goto This is my favourite place on the weekends. I am ashamed to say I eat here too much 😂. Always good, fresh and tasty. And the service is amazing!

14/03/2026: We ordered 2 drinks and to be honest, the cocktails is overpriced according to the quality. The bartender seemed like he did not know how to make the drink. We ordered an old barrel which was listed to also have cognac and whiskey in it how ever the only think did pour was a premade mix without the taste of cognac. And almost no taste of whiskey. I asked him if he did finish the drink since I could see no whiskey or cognac being poured. The drink was light almost watery which you would not expect from this type of coctail. His answer was that it was a pretty complicated proces therefore they made premix. As old professional bartender to another, this seemed like an excuse. The drink is not complicated to make at all. Also if I pay 130 for cocktail i would expect it to made on the spot. Otherwise no value for money! I would not recommend this spot to anyone who values true craftsmanship

01/07/2026: Really delicious salads with fresh fish ingredients of high quality. The taste was authentic and well-balanced, and there was no shortage of fresh herbs, which gave the dishes lots of character and freshness. You could clearly taste that there was a focus on good ingredients and careful preparation. A wonderful dining experience that can be highly recommended.

28/04/2026: Paid 228 DKK for a butter chicken that didn’t come with rice. Man at the counter was like “you know it doesn’t come with rice right you need to pay extra”. I was shocked, every Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian place I’ve ever eaten at around the world provided rice with a curry, or it was simply baked into the price. 228 DKK without rice !!

23/06/2026: STAY AWAY! Bad fish and when you confront them that the fish is bad the chef/manager starts shouting and screaming. And yes that is tuna in the picture, it must NOT be white. Note…. This review is several years old, I don't know why it only came up now

29/03/2026: The best durum rolls can be found here. We bought 4 really delicious 2 chicken, falafel, kebab. Will definitely buy here again.
