Sami Shafi er kendt i restaurationsbranchen for at være en ringe chef, og kokkeriet for at være en dårlig arbejdsplads.
Maden er ok, men der er bedre gastronomie restauranter at prøve.

The head owner is known for treating his employees very badly, has no respect for anyone but himself (who he thinks to highly off), simply put, when you go to Kokkeriet, you are supporting a toxic work environment.
This is a known fact in Copenhaguen.
It is an embarssement that he is still allowed to opperate.
There are so many wonderdul restaurants in copenhaguen who don't treat their employees as less than human, support those insted.

12/01/2024: There was so much noise that you couldn't hear the people you were sitting next to and they were 40 minutes apart. The food is good but you get food poisoning every time you eat here. This place can give good and bad experiences.
30/12/2023: We were seated by the door where it was extremely drafty. It seems they were very understaffed, so we had to wait quite a while before we could order from a waiter who really didn't seem to mind being there.. the food was nothing to shout hooray for, the French fries were completely oily and limp, the pork was overcooked, even the pancakes, which are just some reheating, were cooked to the same standard.
To top it off, there was even vomit in the hallway outside the toilet and when I pointed it out, the waiter said she knew about it. I'm not setting foot there again.

30/07/2024: Have often eaten delicious food here. We have been so happy to come here, the price also suited our budget and the service was sweet and kind. It is also with sadness that we learn that the restaurant is closed permanently. Missing you already.
09/07/2024: Have eaten there a few times, with great pleasure. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food is both good and tasty and cheap. Now the restaurant is temporarily closed, And I miss it already

05/04/2025: Mi esposa y yo hicimos una inmersión introductoria con Nicolás, uno de los propietarios de este excelente negocio. Él era extremadamente minucioso y responsable - mientras que también tenía un maravilloso sentido de la diversión. Fue un buceo introductorio notablemente fácil e increíblemente gratificante, hermosos peces y mantarrayas.
Mi esposa hizo su entrenamiento de certificación, que implicó 6 inmersiones adicionales. En sus palabras:
“Mi instructor fue Remi durante las seis inmersiones y estoy muy agradecido con él. ¡Él me enseñó tanto en un corto período de tiempo! Se tomó muy en serio todas las precauciones de seguridad y se aseguró de que las entendiera. También era muy sensible, ya que el buceo para aquellos que no tienen tanta experiencia puede ser estresante. Él quitó todo el estrés, ya que era tan paciente y tranquilizador. Remi también poseía mucha información, no solo sobre lo que encontramos bajo el agua, sino también sobre toda la región, la historia, etc. Realmente no puedo recomendar lo suficiente!”

21/11/2024: Have eaten there before for a period about three years ago, so I had high expectations - at that time they had very delicious burgers with high-quality special cheeses. Unfortunately, they have changed their menu drastically and it does not live up to the previous standard in terms of taste. Now you can't demand that much from a burger, you might think - but when they demand DKK 145 for it, it must taste like something. It was unfortunately very anonymous in taste, the taste of the cheese just wasn't there and I was really disappointed, precisely because they used to have blue cheese and goat's cheese on the menu. Now it's just boring for DKK 145. The room is cozy dark - a bit worn, but in a trendy way, however there was intrusive muzak, so you couldn't relax. The staff are dead and attentive to the customers. They came uninvited with salt and pepper so I could embellish the taste - it didn't help. They wanted to do it much better.

18/07/2025: Staying here was a wonderful experience for me. At first, I couldn’t find the hotel because the name had changed to Motel1, which was a bit confusing, but I asked around and confirmed that it was the right place. There was a small issue with the door in my room, and when I mentioned it, they immediately gave me a better room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you so much!

En dejlig rolig stemning i restaurantens lokale.
Indbygget vin skab i glas for ende af lokalet, giver et spændende look i nydelsen af restauranten.
Levede fuldt op til forventningerne.
Og sikken et view der er ud over København, muligheden for at se København på den måde er fascinerende.
24/05/2025: Absolutamente increíble experiencia. Nuestro camarero conocía el menú de adentro hacia afuera y más allá. Recomendó una excelente selección de vinos. Servicio increíble y comida deliciosa. Tenía el solomillo canadiense, probablemente el mejor filete que he probado en años. Las ostras estaban súper frescas y deliciosas. Sabrosos cócteles. El ambiente era bueno, mucho espacio dentro del restaurante. Este es sin duda un lugar al que volveré de nuevo.

06/11/2023: OH NO!!! The place is closed, and immediately declared bankrupt? I have been coming here for many many years, a couple of times a month and followed you from Venus in the old days. It makes me sad that you are now closing, after so many years :(
I don't know which Indian place will now be able to fill your place. I hope you open something new one day somewhere else, and I will make it known. so I can follow you to the new place. :) ( I will take the car )
A legendary place in Valby/Frederiksberg is now closed. I wish you all the best in the future, and thank you for the many years of delicious food. :)
12/09/2023: God, I miss this place. I kind of used to go to this place every week during my time in Denmark. People and food are amazing over there. They play desi music.
They have starters, naan, various chicken and lamb and veg curries. They do have biriyani and sweet pulao rice as well.
Make sure to walk in Frederiksberg gardens park to burn out some calaroies after having such a good and heavy meal 😄.

07/08/2025: This restaurant, once known as Ella’s Konditori and famed for its traditional dishes like wienerschnitzel, has been completely reimagined. Thanks to the passion of four incredibly enthusiastic owners, Simon, Ludvig, Malthe, and Max, and the help of many talented friends, it has blossomed into one of the most exciting Italian restaurants I’ve experienced in Denmark.
Today, the focus is purely on pasta, with three main courses to choose from. Don’t let the limited menu fool you, each dish is so well-crafted that even something you might usually pass over elsewhere becomes a revelation here. Every bite is a journey through layers of flavors, perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying.
Portion sizes might seem modest at first glance, but the food is rich and hearty, especially if you opt for the menu including a starter and dessert. Everything is handmade, and I was lucky enough to peek into the kitchen and watch as each pasta screw was hand-rolled. They go to great lengths to source locally, sometimes even foraging for wild garlic near Hammersø in the spring.
Reservations are highly recommended. We were fortunate to get a table as walk-ins, but saw several people turned away. This is a “please wait to be seated” restaurant, and the cozy atmosphere makes it worth the wait. The space retains the charm of its past, with beautiful old trees and a tranquil fish pond from the original Konditori.
If you’re willing to swap “brun sovs og kartofler” for some of the finest pasta in the country, this spot is a must-visit. It’s a heartfelt, flavor-packed experience and I can’t recommend it enough. Bravo to Simon, Ludvig, Malthe, and Max for creating something truly special!
