02/10/2025: Good service and delicious food

10/10/2025: Fantastic piece of meat. The service is a bit lacking from the young waiters though. There is a good heat due to the nice grill by the kitchen, a bit of a problem with the lack of water and having to ask for it several times without success. But otherwise a good experience.

19/09/2025: Delicious steak and sides as always. It had been a while since we were last there, so we wanted a really good and tender steak experience, and we get that every time at Charolais Kroen.

18/06/2025: We had booked a table for 6:30 PM today to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately the evening did not go as expected at all – at least not in our opinion. We arrived about 5 minutes early and stood waiting for a table, which we did for almost 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, we decided to go out into the courtyard, as we had booked a table outside. Here we waited another 25 minutes before a waiter had time to come with 4 menus. We figured out what we wanted to eat and drink, and waited another 15 minutes before a waiter could take our order. After about 15 minutes, the waiter came with drinks, which had become so warm that the beer was lukewarm and the ice cubes in the glass had melted. The waiter asked if anyone wanted water with their food, and one person said yes, but 4 waters were still added to the bill. The food was ok, but overall it wasn't what we expected for the prices on the menu. I will add, however, that the young people who served us were nice, and it seemed like they were doing their best to keep up.

09/07/2025: We like to drive from Hatting to Lund. Even though there is a pizzaria in our town. Tastes good and the price is okay. Have bought different ones, haven't been disappointed.

06/10/2025: Quite an excellent hotel with a good, central location, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and good quality in general. Unfortunately, the parking situation ruins the whole, as when booking you are asked to write if you want one of the hotel's parking spaces (costs DKK 245/day), but when you check in there are no more spaces available anyway, and you have to park on the street (where there is rarely any space) or, for example, opposite in Dokk1, which cost us DKK 450 for 16 hours! That was almost half the price of the stay, which we had not calculated - it is not acceptable.

04/07/2025: Perfect experience! A hotel close to the station and well located for Aarhus's attractions. We'll definitely be back.

25/08/2025: I ate here on Friday, August 22nd with my daughter and mother, and it was one of my best inn experiences to date. The starter, a shrimp cocktail on a bed of mixed mesclun salad with large hand-peeled shrimp and a delicious dressing, was both beautifully presented and tasty. The main course, Wienerschnitzel with fries and bearnaise sauce, came in an impressively large portion and tasted fantastic and the sauce was homemade by the innkeeper herself, which made all the difference! My mother enjoyed the fish of the day, and my daughter her fish fillet, we all left the table full and very satisfied. Friendly staff, beautiful presentation and a rare good balance between price, quality and portions. I will definitely come back next time to try the Thai dishes!

24/06/2025: If you are looking for an evening where everything comes together in one place – food, wine, atmosphere, service and price – then Det Glade Vanvid in Viborg is just the place. And yes, it lives up to its name: it is almost crazy how well it all works. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a staff that really has things under control. Smiling, professional and present without being intrusive. The service is top notch – here, the details have really been thought of, and you feel taken care of all the way through. The food? A pleasure. Tasteful, beautifully presented and coordinated to perfection. The wine matches perfectly and flows without you having to ask – and it all comes together in that way where you feel a little spoiled. And then the best part: the price. For that level of quality, wine ad libitum and the overall experience, it is almost too good to be true. You really get a lot for your money, and it feels like a luxury experience without the luxury price. The only slight downside? There were a lot of guests that night, and you were seated a bit close together. It was a bit noisy and made it difficult to have a quiet conversation. But honestly – when that's the only thing you can put your finger on, it's probably something to live with.

28/09/2025: Yesterday, 27.9.25, I celebrated my 70th birthday here. We were about 40 of all ages. We had the most delicious 3-course menu, followed by coffee, cookies, etc. The “scrub of the food” was buns, cold cuts and cheese. Everything tasted good and was beautifully presented. The service was top notch, the three young people who served us did a great job, the food and wine were on the table on time. The atmosphere was top notch. There was room for us outside the party room too, the children could run around outside as well as inside, you didn't notice it was also the golfers' clubhouse. We give our warmest recommendations to Thomas and his team.

25/09/2025: Clearly the best experience we had in Juelsminde, both in terms of food, service and atmosphere! We had a “Havens Platte” and Nachos to share, as well as a lovely beer and elderflower juice. Definitely recommended!
