25/04/2025: I recommend this place for an overnight stay in Randers. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished. Many sights are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. And the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The only downside in my opinion is that the hotel is right on a busy road, so you shouldn't open the window at night because of the traffic, but that's a high level of complaint.

17/03/2025: Nice old hotel, great breakfast but had a bad experience in their bar. There were a few of us who wanted a few drinks to sleep on, but since it was close to closing, we order so we can have a few each. The drink is served, and when we taste them there is a huge disappointment. They taste like dishwater, complain of course, but just get a flabby answer that the drinks are as they should be. Normally when you get a gin and tonic, you can also taste the gin, you couldn't here. When we left the table, all the drinks were left. It's simply not right, since they know what they have to cost. Date of experience was 12 March 2025

10/06/2025: The service wasn't particularly good, the waiter was almost rude and was more busy standing in the back room talking than being out. There were onion skins in their pickled red onions, and the staff were talking loudly about how they couldn't bring themselves to prepare a tapas board for the table next to us. It was the first and last time.

09/06/2025: Nice place and really good food, but over an hour was a bit long to wait for burgers. On the other hand, there were games and an informal atmosphere, so 4 stars is in order.

08/03/2025: I had a really bad experience at this place. My girlfriend ordered two pizzas, and when I went to pick them up, they told me they had already given our order to someone else. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to make new pizzas. When they were finally ready, I took them without checking, assuming they got the order right. But when we got home, we realized they had given us the wrong pizzas! At that point, it was already dinner time, and we were too tired to go back, so we just ate what they gave us. This was honestly a frustrating experience—I’ve never had something like this happen before. Definitely not the kind of service I expected!

19/05/2025: Today Cafeteria Kroen, which is located on the A13 highway at Hampen, has reviewed their steak sandwich with gravy. The inn looks a little worn from the outside and when you step inside it's like stepping into a time warp from the 80s, but in a good way, it's truly a cafeteria from a bygone era where you take your tray and drive through one time and take what you need and at the end you pay. It doesn't get any better. Arrived at 12.12 and ordered immediately from the nice man, otherwise you could hear the kitchen starting to fry and work. The food was ready at exactly 12.26 and the first impression was that it looked a little boring, but that the portion size was fine. The bun is a traditional standard white burger bun with sesame which does what it's supposed to, however the bun is just a little over-toasted, it's been toasted a little 30 seconds too long. In the steak sandwich we find, plain white raw onions, home-pickled red onions which taste really nice and with perfect acidity. In addition, there are home-pickled cucumbers which were also really good and do something good when you almost get a tear in your eye. The beetroots did not taste homemade and had a bit of a hint of our friends from Beauvais in the taste, which is a bit of a shame. Ketchup, mustard and remoulade are pre-made but still finely tuned in terms of quantity. The steak WoW I would guess is 200 grams, it is freshly home-fried, hot, the meat is PERFECTLY fried with a nice fried crust, structure in the meat and pink fried in the middle. The meat is really flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Hold on, that was not expected. The sauce and it is a sauce, it tastes great and has received a lot of love, it is flavorful and can best be described as a good pork roast sauce like our grandmothers made it, there are only 2 anchors to it and that is that it was only lukewarm (could be a bit hotter) and that there was far too little of it, but it tasted great. I will say I have tried many steak sandwiches as you can see from my other reviews, but this one at a price of DKK 85.- is definitely at the better end, with such a flavorful steak and flavorful sauce and the fact that you have actually made some of the pickles yourself adds so much. Could you then optimize a little to make things better, such as adding a little roasted onions, pickled beets yourself and maybe throwing in a little home-made remoulade. YES but that does not change the fact that this serving is at the good end of the steak sandwich spectrum. 4 out of 5 stars is well deserved and a clear recommendation. Hope you can keep up the level.

10/05/2025: This place recently got new owners and I'm glad about that. I have memories of the place from the mid-80s, when my father sent me to Germany on the pensioner bus from Skive, to buy cigarettes and beer, and when I was only a small fair-haired thin boy of 12, I became a huge hit with the older ladies who were there. I almost always brought several kilos of sweets home because they thought it was a sin for me. But we always stopped in here to get breakfast and several liters of coffee for the pensioners, and on the way home we stopped in for more coffee and cake, or if we ran out of time, we had dinner. It's a lovely place with lots of history and I hope the new people there will bring the cafeteria inn back to its former glory. The food is quite nice, the last star comes when my portion gets bigger, because I'm not so skinny anymore🤣.

26/04/2025: Tenderloin casserole with mushroom sauce and rice. From our assessment, it was not tenderloin. Way too little rice. Otherwise it was well prepared and tasty. Cozy with candles etc. but somewhat worn place.

28/03/2025: Vi fik tapasbrunch, hvor af især tunmousse, laks, de nye tacos og passionsfrugt moussen kan anbefales. Som altid venlig, kompetent, humoristisk og hurtig betjening. Man sidder dejligt i det nyere møblement og det hele føles dejligt afslappet. Der var både veninder, par, grupper og familier da vi var der, og alle så ud til at hygge sig
