25/09/2024: Celebrated my 70th birthday at this lovely place. 22 people with a buffet followed by coffee and apple cake. The food was really good. The service was fine. As it was the hottest day of the year, I asked for a few jugs of water on the table - for a fee, of course -. I couldn't get that, but I could buy bottled spring water. So 10 bottles of spring water for DKK 39.00 per piece above the bill. Now I don't think that's quite right when I come with a company of 22 people for food, drink, coffee and cake. It was only because of the intense heat that water was ordered. A little conduit here would be in order. I am hugely disappointed by that. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

01/09/2024: I had driven 50 km to get food from this restaurant. It was unfortunately disappointing. The food was incredibly salty throughout all the dishes. Umami was not affected. The restaurant was incredibly busy, so maybe it was just one unlucky night. I am not afraid of salt in some ways! So when it was too salty in my world, it was too salty.

27/07/2024: Went for lunch. Overall, there are four types of gourmet restaurants: the ones where other chefs can cook the same type of food or not; and the ones where the service system works impeccably or not. MOTA is one of its kind and the service is impeccable. The vegetables, which dominate the menu, are mostly harvested the same day locally (which is noticeable when eating them), and the same applies to the produce from the local waters. MOTA is terroir cuisine in its true essence, and the chef, Claus Henriksen, is outstanding at making ingredients shine simply extraordinarily. Thank you for lunch!

15/09/2024: I made a large order for Saturday morning with delivery. Delivery was perfect and on time. The pizzas were amazing - they were praised by everyone. So the very best recommendation from here

19/09/2024: Beautiful newly renovated hotel with a lovely view of the Ringparken. The rooms are lovely and the beds are wonderfully soft. The restaurant cooks fantastic food and the breakfast is top notch. I only have positive things to say about this hotel and that is after using it twice. This is my "goto" hotel when visiting Zealand.

30/09/2024: Just sublime. This is a special and magical place. The host is a natural storyteller and so welcoming. He offers wonderful coffee, tea and amazing cakes. Great sense of playfulness. Absolutely loved this - beautiful grounds and a haven for those looking for wonder in tiny things.
08/09/2024: Hyggelige omgivelser til et Engelsk tebord. Værterne stod selv for serveringen og hyggen omkring gæsterne. Selv på en varm sommerdag kan stedet anbefales.

20/08/2024: The rolls were lighter than air and tasted like air... I have had better breakfast bread in a too good 2 go bag in kvickly or Føtex at home.
Very disappointing to pay DKK 70 for a bag of rolls of that quality.

20/07/2024: Really nice circle-k, this city is absolutely incredible. Came here at 00.01 and spent a full 3.5 hours here in Slagelse. Have to say the 20 minute walk from the train station to the circle was worth it! Good sausage but a bit expensive sweets :)
