20/07/2025: Amazing Cafe right next to the train tracks. The serve a lot of good vegan and vegetarian food. The overnight oats are amazing. The coffee is great. Everything is homemade. An absolute gem!

16/07/2025: Cozy café located at the station in Kolding. Sweet and friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Delicious homemade buns with North Sea cheese and okay filter coffee.

09/02/2025: Small cozy brunch place. It was super crowded and the staff was quite upset about it. You are able to order only if you have a table. I think it would be better to let customers queue outside until they table is available. Otherwise, very uncomfortable for other guests. The food was good, prepared fast. But they started cleaning immediately after we finished our meal. It felt a little bit like they want us leave as soon as possible.

02/07/2025: I visited Sofie’s Kalderen with my elderly parents (in their 70s) and my 11-year-old niece. Despite multiple empty tables on the terrace, we were told they were "fully booked for dinner" and we wanted to only have a drink. We obliged, but after sitting nearby for over an hour, not a single person was seated for dinner—just more drinkers like us. It’s baffling why we were turned away when the tables remained unused. Were we not the "right kind" of customers? The excuse felt dishonest. Tourists be warned—you might be turned away for no good reason, even when the place is half-empty. Update: Thank you, but there’s no need to lecture me on basic economics — I do understand how restaurants operate. My concern wasn’t about your business model, but rather about why we weren’t offered a table while several other guests, who also didn’t appear to be eating anything, were seated. Perhaps they miscommunicated their intentions, or maybe they chose to have drinks for an hour before ordering more. I’ll leave it to other customers to draw their own conclusions.

24/06/2025: Restaurant Mezza is one of those places where you don't quite know if you've come for the food, the atmosphere or just to try something other than gravy and potatoes – but you end up being a little happy about it all. The food is spicy, rich and comes in small delicious bites that you can't pronounce, but still eat with great enthusiasm. There's hummus that tastes better, meat with juice and power, and a kind of bulgur salad that you didn't know you needed. It's like a party in the Middle East – just with Danish eating habits and a little more sense of order (like that). The atmosphere is wonderfully informal. There are blankets, lamps and that warmth that can't be bought – it just has to be there. And it is. You feel welcome and a little exotic at the same time, which is very nicely done in Herning. The service? It's sweet like baklava, but sometimes just as sticky. The dishes don't necessarily come in order – but they come with a smile, and that counts too. You sit and look around a bit, think "did we order this?" and then answer yourself with a happy "it doesn't matter!" The price is reasonable, the food is good, and the whole experience is a bit like a Middle Eastern hug – warm, round and a bit unpredictable. All in all: Mezza is not quite Brdr. Price – but it doesn't try to be. It's cozy, fun, tasty and a bit quirky. And that's actually part of the charm.

25/06/2025: I rarely leave reviews, but I hope this is taken as constructive feedback. My friend and I visited the Sydhavnen location for the first time, planning to join the crash course we’d seen online. From the start, the service was unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we asked about the course, the staff member pointed at the payment machine without greeting or explanation. After signing the waiver, we asked where to find the group and where to change, but the lack of basic courtesy and effort to guide us felt unprofessional. Only after returning did the staff inform us the crash course was cancelled for the summer. Instead, we got a brief, indifferent intro about the track levels. Even when we asked about the chalk powder lying around, they didn’t bother to explain. The unwelcoming atmosphere made us want to leave, but we stayed out of determination not to let the poor service ruin the day. Customer service needs real improvement here. We’ll be visiting a different location next time.

12/06/2025: There were 3 of us and we had 3 different dishes. 1 had lamb krones super delicious. 1 had salmon it was a little smoked, tender tasted great. 1 had beef tenderloin it was supermarket. We all got garnishes and potatoes. Then we had dessert, which was tasty and really delicious. 😋 Service was top class. Super sweet and fresh girls, in a relaxed way. We will definitely come back and definitely recommend you😁 Also a really nice restaurant, where you sat comfortably. A small minus was the trip to the toilet, my mother-in-law has difficulty walking and it was a long way and there were quite a few stairs.

28/06/2025: Gabriel Jensens Traktørsted – A Pearl Close to the Beach Gabriel Jensens Traktørsted is simply one of the island’s slightly hidden gems – a charming and authentic eatery where you feel welcome from the first moment. The smiling and friendly welcome sets the tone for a meal that tastes as good as it feels cozy. The menu is simple and straightforward, but offers delicacies that really impress. We started with some coffee, buns with fennel sausage and ham – and here it was as much the quality as the quantity that surprised. The bread was a dream: crispy crust, soft and well-built crumb, and a cold cut that was cut to perfection. The fennel sausage was a clear favorite – the right balance of spices and juiciness. But the biggest surprise awaited us on the side plate. The croissant is definitely among the best on Zealand – fluffy, buttery and absolutely perfect. The cardamom swirl was equally seductive, with an ideal balance of sugar, soft bread and a well-balanced amount of cardamom. The location makes it even better: just a stone's throw from a sandy beach and Dragør Søbad, making the place the ideal stop both before or after a beach trip. Here you really get the feeling of authentic coziness, good food and moments that last. Gabriel Jensen's Traktørsted is definitely worth a visit - a true pleasure for all the senses!

05/07/2025: Their buffet brunch is with delicious ingredients, but definitely not in excess. Juice was not refilled, nor food on the buffet table. Not even small things like olives were refilled. Pancakes were served cold and only if you asked for it. In addition, the waiter was rarely to be found.

13/07/2025: The company reports that these are some of the best roast pork sandwiches they have had. The same goes for their pulled pork burger. Super cozy place and good atmosphere.

12/07/2025: The best roast pork sandwich I've ever had 😍 Really cozy little place. It was a bit windy that day, so we got a "booth" indoors. Super cozy and a really good view of the water too😱 If the weather is good you can sit on their terrace with the most amazing view! I can also highly recommend the onion rings and chilli cheese tops. These chilli cheese tops were black, and we talked to the waiter who said they used black cornmeal. Incredibly good. TRY IT 😍🙌

12/07/2025: The pastries and bread were delicious, I got the sourdough bun as well as a coffee. Both were great. It’s usually very packed and the line can sometimes be long so keep that in mind. Lots of tables outside to sit which my party of 5 appreciated. Come here early in the morning to beat the crowd. Love that they have restrooms and free water. The different pastries all looked amazing and we got the square croissant which was filled with cream. 8/10 would come here again if I was passing by.

10/07/2025: I tried the cinnamon roll, which was very good. Even though it was probably baked a while ago since I bought it (in the afternoon), it retained its softness. I could taste the cinnamon, butter, and a hint of almonds. Two cost 72 kronor.

30/05/2025: Service was top notch, the food was good and it was very cozy. Even though we, a bunch of farm girls from Jutland, came in work clothes, we were treated like fine gentlemen. Nothing was missing.
