07/06/2025: Great ice cream, but the service is sooooo slow and miserable. An employee at work on a Saturday in June. Under all criticism. Stood in line for over 20 minutes, there were only 10 customers in front.

30/06/2025: Denmark = Hygge. Doesn't this mean anything to you? Aarhus in East Jutland boasts several Michelin-starred restaurants. We visited two. Nordic cuisine used to intimidate me. Too dogmatic. They rake the forests and meadows, ferment whatever they find. Bycatch, no problem. Oh, an ant, great, who needs lemon? You know every producer personally, ideally for generations. Food that can't be shipped to the kitchen by cargo bike because the producer is located too far from the kitchen is taboo. And what do you end up with? Perhaps a Redzepi 😊? That's quite biased, because there's no doubt that Mr. Redzepi, together with Ferran Adria, has significantly shaped the culinary world over the past twenty years, and that deserves recognition 🏆. We saw Wassim Hallal, the chef of the Frederikshoj restaurant, as a guest chef on Ikarus (Servus TV). We liked his style and personality. The restaurant has just been redesigned. It appears elegant and tasteful. Dark tones dominate, but the overall impression is anything but cold. The ambiance exudes quality. There are no tablecloths, which, in my opinion, seemed rather out of place here. There are a few works of art on the walls. Overall, it's rather minimalist. We felt very comfortable, as the details we appreciated were present. The tables are generously spaced. The chairs are comfortable. From our table, we had a magnificent view of the sea. The air conditioning was pleasant, as was the background music. There was a small side table for the phone and the lady's bag. Parking was available in front of the restaurant. The guests were a diverse mix and mostly dressed casually. We appreciated all of this. We were greeted by the restaurant manager and co-owner, Jeppe Lund. He was supported by a friendly and attentive service team. Mr. Lund was the one who played a key role in ensuring that I enjoyed the evening so much, despite my mediocre English skills. Eating out in Denmark is more expensive than in Germany. This is partly due to a sales tax rate of 25 percent. We enjoyed 14 courses (including two desserts). The "Greetings from the Kitchen," as we are used to in Germany, was not offered. Bread was also not served. Water was not charged. The wine list is extensive. The dishes served to us delighted us from start to finish. We didn't encounter any dogmatism here. Many ingredients were regional, but why forgo Danish lobster, oysters, and potatoes? All of these "local" products were of the highest quality. All the dishes were highly aromatic, yet very subtle. The entire process was executed with utmost precision. It's hard to imagine a tartlet or other treat that's finer or crispier. Each cube is cut as precisely as the next. I love this kind of precision; it's not only a testament to good craftsmanship, but this work also undoubtedly makes a difference in terms of feel. I'll refrain from singling out a single course or describing the meal in detail here. Every time we thought it couldn't get any better, Chef Hallal and his team went one better. We were more than impressed. A magnificent menu. Who's surprised that I was able to enjoy the best Canelés de Bordelais of my life with coffee at the end of the evening? Jeppe Lund told a nice anecdote about it. Chef Eric Kragh Vildgaard celebrated his third Michelin star here, which he received for his restaurant Jordnær. He was said to have been so impressed by this pastry that he consumed considerably more than one. I'll have the opportunity to ask him about it next week, as Jordnær is our next destination. According to Mr. Lund, it's going to be fantastic, and I'm happy to believe him.

09/02/2025: Small cozy brunch place. It was super crowded and the staff was quite upset about it. You are able to order only if you have a table. I think it would be better to let customers queue outside until they table is available. Otherwise, very uncomfortable for other guests. The food was good, prepared fast. But they started cleaning immediately after we finished our meal. It felt a little bit like they want us leave as soon as possible.

28/06/2025: Always our favorite place to eat in Nyborg, super nice service and the freshest Thai food you can get 🙂. Would have given more stars if it were possible 🙂

26/06/2025: We were with our camper at Nyborg Marina and got take away Thai food here. It was really fantastic. They have a clear website with menus in English. We also did not find the price excessive. An absolute recommendation

13/07/2025: Cozy little ice cream parlor located on a corner. Few seats inside and very little space outside (sidewalk) but really delicious homemade ice cream and friendly service.

23/07/2025: We were so hungry, and enjoyed the most wonderful brunch at lunch time. I could also recommend it for dinner. Best cafe ever with the freshest food💫

13/07/2025: God modtagelse fra tjener, men her hører alt så op. Bestilling modtages en moules frites og en helleflynder. Helleflynder er den tørstegt, usikker om køkkenet kan håndtere fisk. Bliver sendt ud da den ikke er til at spise. Efter ca. 30-40 minutter kommer en ny Helleflynder, tjener siger kaffen er på dem. Ingen interesse om maden smager efterfølgende, måske er man bare blevet ligeglad. Efter at have rykket 2 tjener for regning kommer den, incl. betaling for kaffe. En opmærksomhed på dette men en ligegyldighed fra tjener, der fjerne den. Hvor er service idag.

01/07/2025: Smaklöst . Blåmusslorna som var del av en huvudrätt var sega. Till fisksoppan ingick en havskräfta som på dansk heter jungfruhummer. De lades hel och het separat ner i soppan och var då omöjlig att rensa. Detta skulle gjorts på köket och så skulle två kräftstjärtar lagts i soppan. Hälleflundra med risoni var ok.

14/07/2025: Lovely food in nice surroundings. We sat outside and ate and what a pleasure. Great service, good wine and tasty food. The most delicious mussels with delicious gravy and extra good fries. Nice place in the middle of the street, and nice atmosphere inside that we only looked into. Recommended. ————- Nydelig mat i fine områder . Vi satt på utedelen og spiste og havke fornøyelse . Flott service, god vin og smakfull mat. De nedingdist mussels med delikk kraft og ekstra gode pommes frites . Higlig utest midt i gaten , og higlig innested som vi kun tættet inn i. Rekomendas.

06/06/2025: Really light and delicate sushi of insanely high quality. The service is top notch, the atmosphere is relaxed and the surroundings are beautiful – modern and cozy rooms where you want to stay. It is also a bit more expensive than many other sushi restaurants – but the quality justifies the price.

29/06/2025: There is a great sunset here and good drinks. They have a silent disco, which is really cool – both for children and adults. That's why there are also many children with their parents. We have been there twice, and both times were an experience – so it will probably happen again!
