Despite the name being older than the current menu, Byens Grill Kylling serves freshly grilled shawarma and kebab made with excellent ingredients sourced locally, including fresh produce from the nearby QB market. You can taste the difference immediately—everything feels fresh, well-prepared, and made with pride. The menu is intentionally small, with around 10 dishes, and that focus really shows. Every order hits the spot. No unnecessary overload, no shortcuts—just good food done properly. The owner deserves special mention. He is genuinely kind, welcoming, and communicates clearly. You feel seen as a customer, not rushed or ignored. He makes sure you’re properly fed and happy with your order, which is sadly becoming rare these days. And the portion sizes? Absolutely ridiculous—in the best way possible. You will not leave hungry. In fact, you’ll probably struggle to finish it, but you’ll enjoy every bite. The place itself is small and modest, but that only adds to the charm. It feels authentic, clean, and honest—focused on what actually matters: great food and good people. If you’re looking for high-quality shawarma or kebab, made fresh with care, this is easily one of the best spots in town. A local gem that deserves support and repeat visits. Highly recommended.

26/10/2025: Famo Saxo undoubtedly delivers Italian food of a very high standard. The dishes are authentic, based on excellent ingredients (which you can taste are sourced from Italy), and the kitchen really masters the simple but tasteful approach. The food alone deserves top marks. Unfortunately, the dining experience was dragged down by the surroundings. The restaurant is incredibly popular, which means that the small room is far too crowded. You sit uncomfortably close together, and the high noise level makes it difficult to have a conversation. Unfortunately, the 'lively' Italian atmosphere tips over and becomes more stressful and chaotic. If you're going for the taste alone, Famo Saxo is a winner. But the cramped and hectic atmosphere takes away a lot of the enjoyment of the otherwise excellent meal.

07/12/2025: Cozy old restaurant located in the city's pedestrian street. Good, well-cooked food and friendly service. Dec. 2025 Christmas lunch with work, delicious traditional homemade Christmas food.

28/10/2025: Classic Danish food. Tried to make with love. My shrimp cocktail was super delicious. My husband's chicken salad was tasty but very small compared to. Got winerschnitzel which was fried TOTALLY dead and more black than brown. A measly anchovy on a teaspoon of horseradish and a thin slice of lemon.. dry and chewy. Got NO offer of coffee or dessert.. After a few tries we caught a waiter, and well yes she could make coffee... Uhhhh.. But beautiful old house.. needs some cleaning and washing of windows/curtains and some fresh air..

28/10/2025: Nice fish shop, with good products. Reasonable price level. Certain meat products are also available in the shop, minced meat, roast beef, rib roast and the like. Possibility of outdoor dining in the summer months.

09/11/2025: Friendly and smiling service, delicious cakes and absolutely reasonable prices. Possibility of coffee, but from a vending machine. The shop looks very anonymous, but there is a bit of a gem hidden there both in terms of quality and prices - definitely worth a visit!

10/10/2025: I took bread, rolls and cake with me and everything was delicious 😋. Even though I don't speak Danish, I was able to order everything without any problems and the saleswoman was very nice, thank you again 😊.

16/01/2026: When we need take-away I always suggest this place. The pizzas are GOOD. Quality ingredients. I'm a huge fan of Penne al Tartufo, and you can get HOMEMADE tiramisu for 40kr.

06/12/2024: A very nice restaurant. Something different. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back. Reservations are necessary. The restaurant owner deserves special mention for his extensive wine knowledge.

27/10/2024: Great food. The staff is very friendly and well-trained. The tables are lovingly set. The food is homemade. The bread, which is also homemade, is delicious. Advance reservations are recommended. It's always fully booked. That speaks for itself.

15/02/2026: The world's most boring burger. There was ONE tiny chicken in it - a little onion / dressing / and a lot of ketchup. Also ordered 1 portion of “damn good fries” - they were dry and a tiny portion for the price! The burger bun was OK though - and soft. Delivered with Wolt so can't rate the atmosphere and service.
