19/04/2026: The rooms are old, but everything is nice and works as it should. The beds were nice and firm and we slept really well on them.
The host is super welcoming and service-minded.
The breakfast was fantastic, with lots of homemade treats.

29/08/2025: Everything about this restaurant was simply amazing! The location is perfect, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the variety of foods was outstanding. I loved that it was self-serve, making it easy to try so many different dishes. Every bite was delicious, and it truly stands out as one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the chance to visit—you won’t be disappointed!

16/05/2026: A small café. They serve coffee and sometimes cake. You have to order at the counter. The employee walked past our table about eight times. There was no indication of where to order. By the time we were told by the next table, the chocolate cake was gone, sold to the customers sitting outside. The atmosphere was so-so. Next time we'll get coffee and hopefully cake somewhere else.

21/04/2026: I am a big lover of good bread and there have been many talented bakers in Cph and the surrounding area - but the first place belongs to Batting. The quality of their products is in a class of its own.
Try their absolutely fantastic croissants and tea biscuits or enjoy the taste and consistency of their bread.
It simply doesn't get any better.
The only huge minus is the opening hours. Closed three days a week and only bread in the morning. It must be possible to do better.
25/01/2026: Best croissant in Copenhagen and absolutely amazing heavenly lemon cake. Their sourdough bread is top notch - I often miss the delicious walnut sourdough bread.

07/04/2026: 🤬 shop asks for 10ml nicotine salt and gets 2 pods. I find out in the evening and the next day of course they can't exchange them and they can't even tell me what the pods are for.. stop selling things if you don't understand what you're doing!

Good soft ice cream with lots of toppings.
15/06/2026: Great place. Heard it will be one of the last ones to remain open. Glad to say goodbye to Jensens Bøfhus here in Kopenhagen. Good food, great service and fast. Comfortable restaurant and the best chain to visit while in Denmark. Unfortunate that they took away already a lot of key items from their menu like their famous spare ribs.

03/05/2026: First time at Høvlen since reopening. Was a bit skeptical, but it was completely and utterly put to shame. We had a really fun evening, and the two cute girls at the bar are absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back! 🍺🥳
