From the moment we entered, the room radiated warmth: Scandinavian minimalism with a soulful, almost sacred calm. Every detail, from the single flowers in a clay vase to the design-classic stoneware, spoke of quiet dedication. The food? Simply extraordinary. • Ravioli with Ricotta & Cavolo Nero – hand-crafted pockets, so delicate and clear in flavour, the nutty, earthy kale filling lifted by subtle acidity. Truly flawless pasta. • Beef tartare from Engmosegaard – finely cut, seasoned with elegance, melting into the most balanced herb mayo, finished with paper-thin crispbread: among the best tartares we have ever tasted. • Wild mushroom toast with Semmel-Stoppelpilz – creamy forest richness absorbed by rustic bread, accompanied by a vibrant salad. A dish that tastes like a woodland walk. • Charcuterie – house-aged Salsiccia and Culatello, deeply flavoured, quietly masterful. The drinks matched this standard: a natural French Pinot Noir, perfectly paired; and a house-made kombucha with figs, coconut and a whisper of cinnamon – fragrant, alive, unforgettable. Brilliant jazz floated through the room, the host speaking of the musicians with the same passion he invests in his kitchen. His kindness and humility made us feel deeply welcome. Torup Spisehus is not just a restaurant – it is an experience woven from food, music, design, and heart. A place of rare beauty and generosity.

14/01/2026: Quick and friendly service. The sushi is good, with generous portions. The barbecue is a great choice. All of this is available at the all-you-can-eat buffet. If it's your birthday, you eat for free.

I don't understand why they didn't take a decent couple of young people off the street who didn't have a reservation when half the place was empty the whole time.

27/01/2026: I have often been to Hai Yi with my family and friends and there is always a welcome and when we leave with full bellies of various foods, ice cream and coffee - a big smile on their lips with thanks for today and a safe return home. The dirty plates are quickly removed, and even though it is very busy, they come almost immediately and take our order.

01/01/2026: I have never had such bad food. The food was cold, sticky and tasteless. There were 18 of us who were looking forward to delicious food, but unfortunately we had to leave hungry because no one wanted to finish eating. This is the first and last time we visit the restaurant. Over 3000 kr went out the window.

09/09/2025: With all my respect, I cannot give this hotel more than one star. I stayed at this hotel for one night, from September 3–4, before my 9-hour flight, and unfortunately it turned out to be the most stressful short stay I have ever experienced. At check-in, the staff could not locate my prepaid reservation for nearly 30 minutes. During this time, I even asked if I should book another hotel, but was assured everything was fine. Eventually, I was checked in and told all was in order. Later during my stay, I received repeated calls from the receptionist claiming my payment had not gone through. This was extremely uncomfortable and stressful, especially since the payment was already confirmed and visible both in the Booking.com app and on my card. The call even came during the hotel’s happy hour, while other guests were being served wine — which felt humiliating and unprofessional. When I returned to reception, the receptionist told me they had a “wrong card” on Booking.com and therefore could not take payment from them. I showed her proof that the payment had already gone through in the app, and she said she understood but insisted she needed a card “on file.” I specifically asked what would happen if I was charged again, and she assured me it would not happen — that it was only for their records. This turned out to be untrue: a second charge was processed without my authorization, using the card I gave solely for their “records.” What is most concerning is that the hotel later claimed my reservation was for 2026 — to say I was shocked is to say nothing. This is the very first detail that reception staff should check, and such a critical discrepancy should have been noticed immediately. But not during the check-in process, not later when I was asked to come back to the hotel, and not when she took my card “for their records” was the wrong date ever mentioned. Even if such a mistake with 2026 dates somehow appeared, it was the clear responsibility of reception to notice and inform me immediately, not to check me in and later call me with confusing and stressful messages. With all respect, as I said above, I cannot consider this acceptable service or professional behavior. AN UPDATE: The hotel now claims they did me a favor by checking me in for the “correct” 2025 dates at the beginning. This is absolutely untrue. During the call when the receptionist asked me to come back to the desk, she kept repeating that my booking was fine and that she only needed my card “on file,” assuring me there would be no extra charge. This happened during wine happy hour in the lobby, in front of many guests - so there is no need for me to make up such things, it was heard by others as well. There was never any mention of a different reservation or “new charge.” If she knew it was a new reservation and deliberately did not inform me, that is not a mistake — it is fraud. She did not take my card “for the record”; she misled me and charged me again without my consent. What is even more concerning is that after this entire incident, the hotel never once thought it was necessary to apologize for the stress and inconvenience their unprofessional staff caused me before a long international flight. You can imagine what kind of service this is. I have already informed all my friends and acquaintances, and they are shocked. My honest advice: stay away from this place.

09/01/2026: Extremely cozy little wine bar with cheese and charcuterie. The selection is second to none - absolutely top notch. Present and personal service, which despite the somewhat cramped conditions can always come through. Fantastic experience.

19/10/2025: I had the mixed plate. It’s nowhere near what a genuine mixed plate should be. Singular ingredients like lettuce, tomato and cabbage. Nothing genuinely grilled or mixed with other spices. Very bland. The rice was also bland and the Adana was over cooked. Finally the bread was store bought. The portion size makes up for lack of taste. The hummus tasted the best.

14/09/2025: Let me start by saying that I have lived in Nørrebro since 2008, and have eaten an incredible amount of kebab in that time. I therefore feel that I can say with some authority that Sultan is one of the best you can find in Nørrebro. The meat is perfectly seasoned. The bread and salad are of really good quality. Good, fast, friendly service. Their Arabic shawarma is their specialty - it deserves to be highlighted. It is a meat feast of such magnificent character that I think it could make an arch-Jew forget everything about voting for Inger Støjberg.

24/09/2025: The food was really delicious, but there was a road under construction right in the middle of the place. I told the staff that it was for inside use, but maybe it was because different countries have different concepts or something, so I was asked to eat my yogurt dinner and breakfast set on the side of the road without a table. Even though it's a developed country, it was still too much!

20/09/2025: This was the best restaurant I've ever been to in Copenhagen! I was debating between other locations before coming here. The atmosphere was great, and the food and service were all excellent. It's a great place to dine alone. The beer they recommended was also delicious!
