04/06/2026: The rooms are ok, nothing fancy. A hotel that shows its soul, the breakfast is ok, nothing special but ok. We had a room facing the harbor and the view was not to be complained about.

22/04/2026: Don’t expect luxury hotel here as the city is very small ( actually it’s perfect to visit if you want to enjoy sea and silence). But still it’s a little bit too much to named hotel, it’s more like hostel, in bathroom wasn’t a shampoo etc.

13/07/2026: What's with all the bad reviews? This was my first stop after getting out of a late night flight and they offered a tidy environment with many things in stock. I had a tebirkes (sweet poppyseed pastry) which I found shockingly delicious for an airport laminated pastry. And, I ate it an hour or two later after I arrived at my accommodation. I am a tourist, but I had several laminated pastries from famous bakeries during my visit and still think about this one?! They advertise an organic croissant and my impression was that most their stuff is organic but i'm not sure. Either way I am impressed. I'm going to come here again on my way out to see if it was as good as I remember or if I was just hungry. Still, I think it's a great place. I was hoping it was a chain with locations in the city but it appears not.

30/05/2026: You wait on the phone for almost 20 minutes and no one answers the phone. Then when you go there, it turns out that the restaurant is closed (on a Saturday night).

18/07/2026: The food and service were quite good but we stood waiting to use the disabled toilet when I had to change my son but it was out of order but there was no sign on the door which I think could be done

17/07/2026: I live close by but wanted to see if they had moved, so I ordered a grill order, but the food was cold, burger cold, team box, chili cheese tops were not melted but solid, the rest was dry and boring. Never tried to get such terrible food from macken before🤢🤮

23/05/2026: The carpeting in the rooms is a serious hygiene and odor problem; hopefully, it will be replaced soon so the rooms will be more hygienic. Breakfast and location were excellent, and the staff were very kind.

17/05/2026: Our room (423) was meant to be a Double Deluxe but it looked nothing like any of the photographs shown on the hotel website. We arrived late on a Sunday night so I questioned the room the following morning. The man on reception accused me of being aggressive when I said I'd hate to see a standard room if #423 was a double deluxe.

26/08/2025: Add for that. Worst pizzas, and of the three pizzas ordered, only one was the right one that was ordered.

22/09/2025: Usualy i give positive reviews but this is the second time we get carrot cake and it is from couple days ago. Personally I will not pay 85 dkk for not fresh cake. I got a cheaper cake from another store which was tasting much better. Even after complaining it, they did not accept it.

19/09/2025: After a long period as a regular customer in Lagkagehuset Bagsværd, we must unfortunately admit that I do not want to go there anymore. A new clerk gives really bad vibes and seems almost snobbish or "it does not suit her to have to serve me" I have experienced her twice and both times have been an unpleasant experience. A clear fake "hospitality". We have used this particular location for a long period of time due to the consistently good quality of coffee, which is unfortunately not the case in all stores. So we are very sad to have to find a new store.

02/07/2026: Bit odd setup to order and seating but the chicken sandwich is amazing. The spicy option was indeed extremely spicy 🥵 but would do it again 10/10 for me.

21/06/2026: If you really know the flavors of Korean cuisine this is very disappointing. The sauce covering the chicken is full of ketchup and a hint of gochujang it’s quite upsetting for the stomach I got nauseous immediately. Even though it is tiny, it was impossible to finish due to loss of appetite. Lets not talk about that it is expensive for such product.

12/07/2026: Great location, enjoyed a Muscle Up and a Iced Matcha Breeze. Great place for meetings.

11/10/2025: Had an excellent meal here. It was so nice we decided to go back again tonight and it didn't disappoint. Lovely atmosphere, great service and just a lovely ambience in the place. Highly recommend.

29/09/2025: (Scroll down to read about the 1 star review). I found this little bar on the side of the water, just a few moments after I arrived in my hotel. I've had a pasta dish with shrimps and tomatoes, which was pretty good. Together with a pint of Carlsberg, I enjoyed the evening sun at the table outside. The reasons why I give only 1 star, is this: When you pay by bank card, the device asks how much money you want to give as a tip. Before the bartender handed me the machine, he quickly hit the 15% amount, (the maximum amount), and gave it to me as if nothing happened. I don't mind giving a tip, but don't take it and act if its the most normal thing in the world! That is scamming! I took my loss and didn't mention it. And once again, the food was good. But when you see the total amount on the display, hit the red button, and say that you decide how much you want to tip!

23/05/2026: When I went there around 6-7am it was FULL, but the workers still had amazing temper and they delivered the food fast with quality. the coffee overall was really hot as i wanted and kept me warm when i was walking around the city.

28/04/2026: It's completely absurd to charge 5,- extra for alternatives to cow's milk in 2026 - NOT AT LEAST when a latte already costs 54,- Arrogant staff and mediocre coffee. Incomprehensible that they can exist 🥸
