16/08/2025: A salad pizza without tomato and cucumber is as sad as watching paint dry. Kebab was dry and boring. Nice guy behind the counter though which gives it an extra star.

09/07/2025: We had been to the open-air bath and had dinner here, it was good.

16/10/2025: For four years now, this has been our friendly neighbourhood sushi place. The chef is very friendly and also makes great food. Worth noting that it's mostly a take-out place, not a dine-in experience.

09/12/2025: A nice concept: Sushi ad libitum, which passes by on a conveyor belt in a glass cage. Appropriate selection of sushi and a little dessert. The price is also nice, and the room is cozy enough, without being anything special. It is a shame that you can only sit for 1.5 hours. Be careful not to take more from the conveyor belt than you can eat, otherwise you may be charged extra for the food waste. It should be noted that we had booked a table in advance. Still, we were offered the smallest small table in a corner, just up a flight of stairs. This was not acceptable, and when we were about to leave again we were offered another table, which we had to wait a bit for. 1 star is deducted for this poor treatment.

17/10/2025: Sushi was pretty much ok. However, we had someone in our party who, for health reasons, doesn't drink with their food. You can't do that - so don't order drinks. And it was actually a super annoying experience, how badly they handled the "company policy" as they called it. We were forced to order an extra soda that no one needed, even though everyone else at the table had drinks and some of them had ordered several times. You would think that would make up for it, for the person who didn't drink anything, but no. Really bad style. That's why we won't be back. And then we don't have to worry about the incredibly poorly lit sushi conveyor belt, which made it difficult to see what was coming around.

17/08/2025: We had 2 x carbonara and 1 bolognese, you won't find better in Copenhagen. Authentic, attentive and helpful service.

09/06/2025: I wanted to go to this place for a long time - it smelled very nice when I passed by a few times! But unfortunately it was a disappointment 😔 I took number 10 - ravioli with salmon. There was not a lot of flavor and pasta tasted weird, I didn’t enjoy at all. But salmon itself was nice. My boyfriend ordered number 4 with beef and it tasted a bit better, meat was very tender, but still something was off. I would have cooked things better at home, given the same ingredients. Out of good things - no complaints at the service, a lot of sauce, very big portion, nice menu that’s easy to choose from, vegetarian options.

02/10/2025: Delicious food from Varnada Indian Cuisine. Elsinore Street Food is a great place to relax and enjoy good food after a days sightseeing around Helsingør.

13/09/2025: I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan. Is it edible? Yes. Would I recommend anyone to spend money on it? No The quality is terribly low. Butter chicken tasted like tomato sauce with chicken. Had nothing to do with butter chicken. Garlic naan tasted like cardboard. Choose something else.

30/08/2025: The bread corner is an excellent bread sale. They don't bake themselves, but the quality of what they sell is excellent and I haven't had any bad experiences there.

28/11/2025: I’ve been a loyal customer of You Sushi Birkerød because the sushi is genuinely good for the price. But the service has now failed me twice — once dining in, and now again with takeaway. Today my order was set for 18:30, then manually changed to 19:00, and I still ended up waiting until 19:30. No proactive communication, no update. When I politely asked for a small discount due to the delay, the manager outright refused, with no explanation. Last time, when similar issues occurred, they offered only small snacks as compensation — which felt dismissive and unhelpful. Customers deserve meaningful goodwill when the service fails. This is becoming a pattern: delays, mistakes, and zero proactive courtesy unless customers push for it. Good sushi doesn’t excuse poor coordination and lack of respect for customers’ time. If orders will be late, say it upfront — don’t promise a time and then miss it. The manager’s blunt refusal reinforces the poor service. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously, because the food is good — but the service is consistently disappointing.

02/10/2025: We ordered soft-serve ice cream. It was terrible. The ice cream was sour. It was best thrown away. A health hazard!

20/09/2025: Lydolph is not what it once was; cozy, nice, magnificent. We were served tasteless (not to say tasteless) soft ice cream from a dilapidated shop that was almost empty of goods - the remaining ones looked like something that had exceeded its expiration date. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Lydolph ice cream shop in Gilleleje and I will not be back.

23/01/2025: It's a super nice place, good waiters and lovely guests and lots of fun. You can play billiards and raffle and listen to good music from the jukebox 5 out of 5 stars

20/07/2025: Our room faced the road and there was a lot of traffic and noise. Ok hotel, has what you need for a night's stay.

25/06/2025: Average and cozy about the details in some rooms. Old but renovated in some places, it seems. So only one kitchen staff, who also received the key at the end of the stay. Lacked information about the living room when we arrived and about the restaurant and dinner. Be aware of the overnight craftsmen are very fresh in the morning (5 am) and they like to talk on the phone and smoke on the terrace below the rooms, where despite cold nights, you have to have open windows. Plus their alarms go off 😅(very loud) The breakfast is quite ok. The only "problem" is a constant sewer smell in the hotel..

29/07/2025: Very much a boho vibe, but inflexibility is definitely Danish. There’s a small farm shop, nusery and a cafe. Didn’t make it inside, as no dogs allowed anywhere. Not like, don’t take them into the shop, keep away from where the farm dog is or keep them away from the area where the peacocks are. Just no dogs, we have peacocks and if dogs the peacocks would run away from the farm.

03/10/2025: the worst place ever. I went in and as soon as I entered the stench hit my nose, my little boy of five cried when he tasted their cheese pizza. He had to go to the toilet quickly, when we entered the sink was yellow and it smelled of pee. Their large cup of soda cost 60kr and the same for a small cup.

03/10/2025: Personally I had a bad experience. The food was not good, the toilets smelled really bad and you couldn't understand what the staff was saying. The atmosphere was ok. You could talk to each other, but it was still quite loud in there. All in all a disappointing experience.
