De bedste restauranter i Hovedstaden

28/07/2025: The atmosphere is nice, but the service quality is very poor and the restaurant kitchen is not up to par. The food is cold and salty, the wait staff is inadequate, rude, and inappropriate. It is definitely not worth the money. There are many better places here, so don't waste your time. We were fooled by the reviews and went there, but I guess the people who wrote them didn't get good meat.

28/07/2025: The service is extremely slow. The meat is good, but it arrives at the table cold because it takes so long to be served, and it is very salty. Even though the restaurant is not full, the service takes more than 60 minutes. The appetisers arrive after the main course, and you can eat the potatoes and salad once you have finished the meat. Go somewhere else; it's not worth paying money to be treated badly.

30/06/2025: Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at Watami in Valby, which I feel the need to share so that others know what they are getting into. The food was generally tasteless, and the sushi was poorly made – the rolls fell apart, and it seemed sloppy and unprofessional. Everything was served at once, which meant that the food quickly became cold and dry. The toilet conditions were downright disgusting. There was no light, no napkins, and the cleaning tools were openly displayed in a messy corridor by the toilets. A clever way to hide the standard of cleaning. It did not seem hygienic or well thought out. The tables in the restaurant were greasy and full of fingerprints. When I asked for the table to be cleaned, it was quickly wiped with a very wet dishcloth – without any kind of soap or disinfectant. You really wonder if the staff is even trained in basic food safety and hygiene – because the whole experience was absolutely not characterized by that. Finally, it was time for dessert. The table was not cleared of empty plates and leftovers. Everything was left behind. When we got the dessert (a so-called crème brûlée), it was neither crispy on top nor creamy. All in all, a really disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Watami Valby to anyone – neither because of the quality of the food, the hygiene nor the service.

28/08/2025: Unprecedentedly low level of service. Ordered 3 dishes, 2 of the 3 dishes that the waiter brings are wrong. Then he insists that it’s the correct order. Then asks if we want to take it anyway. Goes away. Another waitress comes out. Apologizes, but says we have to wait because they messed up the orders. Don’t offer anything in return. Don’t offer to help to adjust the dish (remove bread from sandwich to try to make it into a salad). Don’t want to rush our order ahead of the other orders either. Simply the worst service ever in Copenhagen . Don’t come here.

31/08/2025: We enjoyed a 6-course tasting menu, and it was without doubt some of the best food we’ve ever had. Each dish offered new flavors, beautifully balanced and full of creativity. To top it all off, the drinks were both delicious and surprisingly affordable — the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable dining experience.

27/08/2025: Unsure why the last seating is at 20:30 if the closing hour is 22:00. We walked for 20 minutes just to find out the kitchen is closed. You know Google has an option for putting your kitchen’s closing hours right???

18/08/2025: Really cool maritime museum sunken into an old drydock. Great for kids, my daughter loved the search and find adventure game they give kids to do a treasure hunt. they also have an indoor dressup playground with interactive things for kids to do. The ship models and ships in a bottle were incredible. totally worth thr price of admission. oh, and there's some sort of Hamlet castle nextdoor too, you can see that too if you like.

15/08/2025: Cozy little place with lovely outdoor dining in beautiful surroundings. The service was super fast and it's probably the first time I've seen so many waiters in a café and everything came super fast. The crowd is in the older category. There is a small shop in the same room with some nice things. Will be back soon 👍🏼

13/05/2025: Really delicious pies! I have bought frozen pies several times and filled the freezer. I can also recommend their “fill my freezer” offer, where they deliver frozen pies to your door on Tuesdays 😊

06/05/2025: Got a Chicken Pie and a Beef Pie to go. Went home and baked it. The pies came out flaky from the outside while still being moist and well cooked from the inside. Will totally visit again and try the fruit based and vegan pies that they have!

24/07/2025: Wow, a round of ice cream. Really delicious ice cream. And at very affordable prices. And I think it's great that they advertise with half scoops for "the little ones" so you can taste different ice creams.
