14/03/2026: Sunday brunch was a great pleasure as usual. The only thing missing was several of the lovely dishes on the buffet just after 10:30, when the pleasures were supposed to begin.

26/06/2026: I came from Korea and currently live in Hamburg. I decided to travel to Denmark solely for this cafe because my favorite YouTuber highly recommended it. I placed my order at 8:13 AM, but they skipped my coffee and served everyone else first. I waited patiently, but the staff kept spending time baking bread for the customers who arrived after me. Tired of waiting, I asked to cancel my order, but even that process was very slow. They also tried to give me my refund in Danish Krone (DKK) even though I paid in Euros (EUR). In the end, I received the coffee, but my mood was completely ruined. The service was terrible, and the coffee tasted awful too. Traveling just for this cafe was the worst decision of my life. I do not recommend this place to foreigners, especially Asians. They will likely ignore you and serve others first. This was especially true for the female staff member working in the morning. You should not dismiss this as just some customer coming in to make a scene. The other customers who were there understood my anger perfectly well. I can also show my payment receipt to prove that this is true.

20/06/2026: Absolute gem of a place. Great self-roasted coffee, a simple menu which means they do everything really well, and that rarest of things in Copenhagen: a warm, engaging, personal welcome. The owner is one of the nicest people I've encountered in the city, and his takeaway granola is the best I have ever tasted anywhere on the planet. Sweet and salty, nutty and seedy, a hint of peanut and umami: soooo moreish and if he should happen to post the recipe as a reply to this review I'd be even more grateful! Thanks for a wonderful breakfast and I wish you massive success.

06/12/2025: I ordered two pizzas by phone for takeaway. During the call, I had difficulty understanding a few words from the employee and kindly asked him to repeat them. Unfortunately, he seemed to take this the wrong way and assumed I was criticizing his English, which was not the case. I repeated my order to make sure everything was correct, but before ending the call he commented that my English was also not good. I found this response to be quite impolite. He picked up the pizzas and arrived home, we noticed that one of the two pizzas was incorrect. The taste was good, but the overall service experience was disappointing.

05/09/2025: Quality sushi fair prices. Good amount of tuna. Rice cooked perfect and right temperature. Polite service.

29/08/2025: We were very satisfied! The food was ready right on time for pickup, the chef (or employee) was super friendly, and the sushi tasted really good. We eat sushi a lot and regularly (vegetarian only) and rate this as one of the best we've ever had. Thank you!

11/09/2025: Fantastic experience! The pizza was freshly baked with a crispy base and delicious toppings. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food came quickly. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good pizza!

27/06/2026: The old Il Castello was amazing and mighty heavenly. At the same time, they had really nice owners. I just don't know if I would say that's still true. Since the owners changed, the service has only gotten worse and even worse than that, the pizza has become something I couldn't possibly describe as better than mediocre. In a society with less reliance on local restaurants and more need for delivery, the new Il Castello is a sellout that only focuses on delivery platforms and they are not doing well, it wouldn't surprise me if they had to change owners for the 28th time. 30/11/2025: Such a great experience here! I’ve had this place on my go-to list for a while! They’ve been serving brunch for over 15 years and my friends keep talking about it! Loved the options and how tasty everything was! And it’s even better that their commodities are homemade and baked in house! The only negative is that there could be more space! A definite 7/10 for me! Loved it!

16/11/2025: Their homemade pita bread is perfect and everything else they make is also top notch. You quickly get to know the staff as they are incredibly friendly and service minded.

08/06/2026: Ordered what I thought a safe dish. Club sandwich. Nothing except for bread and chicken that resembles club sandwich. Unedible. Chicken tasted so bad I could not eat. Really, really bad place. Avoid at all costs is my recommendation.

06/07/2026: Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for the waiter, and then for our order. The service wasn't particularly welcoming, unfortunately. However, the oysters were delicious. Although, in my opinion, they were served too simply—an empty, unadorned plate with sauce and lime. I wouldn't go back to this establishment, unfortunately.

06/07/2026: Food is average, but maybe that is relative for Copenhagen. Our salads came with zero dressing. Would have mentioned this to the server if she had ever come to ask. Overall the food is average. I’d never come back if I lived here. Again, maybe this is a Copenhagen issue as the food here is underwhelming and expensive.

29/06/2026: Was here on a Sunday night where you could get 2 beers for 35dkk. Seems impossible compared to prices around town. Atmosphere was great with friendly punters and conversations easy to spark up. Highly recommended!!
