Not a good experience.
24/05/2025: I was able to get in with my wheelchair. The food was excellent, service and friendliness were top notch..
This won't be the last time we eat from here when we are in the area.

24/11/2025: Hopeless place. They always sell out 2/3 of their items. The quality is okay, but not better than other bakeries in town. Find another place to shop if you have the chance.
04/07/2025: The coffee is terrible, the food isn’t much better. It is not immediately apparent that you are supposed to take a number, since people que-up anyway and the number machine is small. If you don’t know to take a number, the staff won’t inform you, instead they ignore you and look right through you as if you were a ghost.

29/12/2025: Toasted crispbread with a little mixed - quite delicious chicken - but otherwise mostly genderless and drowned out by toasted crispbread.
The coffee was good.
A bit expensive; poor sandwiches, self-service and mediocre juice.

27/08/2025: The food was very tasty. We ordered a kebab mix and a pide. The portions were very large and the price was reasonable.
The man behind the counter wasn't particularly friendly. Paying was difficult because apparently, only Danish cards were accepted. Due to a lack of cash, we barely managed to pay in euros. It would have been nice if this had been stated somewhere beforehand, or if he had told us beforehand.

16/08/2025: So… The Lagkagehuset in Viborg. It’s a bit like going on a date with someone who has their hair in order but has completely forgotten to bring their personality. 🍰
The bread? Sure, sure – it’s nice enough, but at that price you almost expect it to be baked with grain from a secret field, where the grain stalks have been massaged and sung lullabies by Mozart. Instead you get a “meh” bread that most of all looks like something that’s a little tired of its own life.
The selection? Narrow. As in: “Hey, we have four kinds – choose or die.” And you always end up taking the same one as last time anyway, because the second one honestly looks like it was baked by an intern on day one.
But the worst thing is the staff. Damn it. You come in, smile and think: “Now I’m going to enjoy myself with a bun and some cake.” And then you’re greeted by a look that says most of all: “What are you looking at, loser?” I once tried to send a small smile – I got a look back as if I had planned to rob the entire store with a butter bun as a weapon. 🥖🔫
I'm not saying they're not nice – I'm just saying that if smiles were currency, they had staff who owed RKI.
So yes, Lagkagehuset in Viborg is a bit like that experience: You leave with a bag of bread, a slightly empty wallet and a feeling of having been looked at askance. It's not that I'll never go there again – but it's more like: “I need to psychologically prepare myself to be talked down to by a croissant-serving upper-class general.”
