24/05/2026: An absolutely abysmal experience. The negative review here was clearly not an isolated incident, but rather the norm. The service was a complete disaster. Not only were we consistently ignored, but several other guests around us waited in vain to even be acknowledged. After having to actively approach the staff twice just to be allowed to order, nothing happened (spoiler alert: we never got to order because no one came). No drinks, no menu, no inquiry, absolutely nothing. We felt like we were being treated as bothersome supplicants rather than paying customers. On our third attempt, we approached a waitress again. The excuse: "It's very busy today" and the kitchen would be closing soon—a full hour later, mind you. Despite this, no one came to our table for another 10 minutes. After a total of 40 minutes of waiting without any service whatsoever, we finally left. The truly sad thing is: the ambiance has potential. But a beautiful restaurant is useless if you practically have to beg to be served—and even then, it doesn't work. That's no way to treat guests. We'll definitely be spending our money elsewhere in the future.

12/11/2025: Great location. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Payment is made at check-in. The breakfast buffet is truly excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture. They really have everything, and it's all done with care.

28/05/2026: The place seemed sad and uninteresting, and the staff honestly seemed indifferent to the guests. We were 2 adults and 2 children, and when we asked for 3 takeaway trays, the counter rolled its eyes. We clearly asked if we could take from the entire buffet, and were told that we could just take it all. Still, the owner stood and watched us closely while we filled the trays. When we were finished, we were suddenly told that we had to pay extra for 3 pieces of sushi even though the staff had said that everything was included. The owner himself confirmed that the fault lay with the staff, but still demanded extra payment with the message: “Pay or leave the food.” We ended up paying almost 280 kr. for 3 trays without the extra sushi. A really bad experience, and we will not be back.

06/06/2026: Have eaten there once before and wanted to try again tonight. Ordered vegetarian pizza and got a pizza with wet large pieces of vegetables. It was too soggy and the pizza was inedible. Pointing it out. Was allowed to pay even though it came out and only 10 bites were eaten. My husband paid 35 kr for two pieces of Parma ham. But the service was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely. Will we come again, no unfortunately not.

09/12/2025: I have been there many times, the 1st time was 2 years ago where I tried the pasta and unfortunately it did not taste good and this time we went a group of people 3 of us had ordered the pasta and i was really in the mood for it but I didn’t want to get disappointed like the 1st time. So my husband ordered it and we were hoping that the recipe had changed but unfortunately it was the exact same taste and all the ppl who had ordered it they didn’t like it as well so 3 plates were left . Perhaps you should consider changing your recipe

24/10/2025: Have only been there for a glass of wine on a Sunday. Seems really nice. A bit of a crazy place. Have heard really good things about both the food and the service. Really good wine and the wine list is something in itself. Ask for the wine list just for the experience... Nice and different wine selection. Haven't tried the food but everyone says it's good.

12/07/2025: The view is definitely the best thing about Kafe K We sat down on the terrace with other diners. We had to go up to the cash register ourselves and order and pick up the food. It seems like a cafeteria, even when I asked if they would wipe our table - I was just given a cloth on the tray along with our drinks. The food was nicely decorated, I got tapas - the first course was CEVICHE it didn't taste of anything, neither lime coriander or chili. The other 2 courses were Crispy spring rolls and BRUSCHETTA it tasted okay, My partner got PASTA POMODORO Pasta in tomato sauce, fried vegetables, burrata & fresh basil. It tasted really good but there was parsley on it instead of basil - a bit of a letdown. The young people at the cash register were really nice and smiling - but I wonder if they had been told Not to leave there? There were 3-4 people standing so there should be time for serving and wiping the tables.
