25/07/2025: Hello Circle K customer service :). I am writing because I recently had an experience at one of your gas stations that I find difficult to let go of. I hope you will take the time to read this, as it is about more than just a single customer service situation. Time and place: Thursday, July 24th. Approximately 11:00 PM. What happened: There was a Ukrainian(?) family in front of me in the queue, a father, a mother and their teenage daughter. They did not speak Danish and did not have enough money on their cards to pay for their items. When it became clear, I offered to pay for them. But your employee said “no, you should not stand and waste other people's time!!” and she cancelled their order instead. In the meantime, the family stood at the checkout and, as it turned out, could not understand why they were being ignored. The father asked the cashier if it was his turn by pointing at himself and was met with the sentence: “No, because your card is rejected!”. Only after all the other customers had paid and were allowed to take their place in the queue, the family was allowed to put some of their goods back and complete the purchase. When I got home in front of my fan and was cooling down, I actually started to feel guilty about not pushing your employee harder, but I just have to learn from that, because it’s too late now... I understand that there may be internal guidelines about payment, security or fraud. But the way it was handled, both the tone, the unwillingness to let us help and the public humiliation, was completely unnecessary and unsympathetic to witness. I am sincerely concerned about the signal this sends, both to customers who want to help and to people who are already in a vulnerable situation. I hope you will take this incident seriously and use it as an opportunity to: - Review your policy regarding payments on behalf of others. - Talk to your staff about how to speak to customers, especially those who do not understand the language or are in a difficult situation. - Consider how your company can make room for humanity in practice. 24/06/2025: Circle K is a really nice place to stop for a quick bite. The store is clean and uncluttered, and there is a good selection of snacks, drinks, and freshly brewed coffee. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Nothing fancy, but solid and reliable – just what you need on a road trip.

12/08/2025: It was delicious. We had a dice promotion there. We rolled two sixes with two dice, and everything was free. We looked at all the designs. The waitress did too. 😁

09/10/2025: Disappointing experience Went to Anker to celebrate a birthday. We chose the steak and there was not one element of the dish that lived up to expectations. A boring and tough piece of meat. A sauce that mostly tasted of salt and bland French fries. And not even particularly cheap. I have subsequently spoken to several people who have had the same experience. Will never come back.

28/09/2025: Exceptional service from our waiter – truly a gem! Having enjoyed Fish & Chips many times in the UK, I can honestly say this was the best I’ve ever had. It was prepared to perfection by a highly talented Greek chef. A wonderful place with an amazing atmosphere, right by the harbour – absolutely worth a visit.

07/07/2025: Only place in Grenaa that you can go to no matter what time of day it is! Can be a lifesaver in an emergency, plus love when they have deals on Booster 3 for 2 and every fifth one free 😮‍💨

19/08/2025: I recently visited this restaurant and ordered a family-sized pizza — and honestly, it was the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had! On top of that, the atmosphere was really pleasant, and the customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I truly enjoyed my time there and will definitely come back!🍕💯☺️

16/06/2025: Nydelig mat! Veldig god carpaccio til forrett og en stor porsjon med perfekt tilberedt oksekjøtt til hovedrett. Crispy chips og en luftig bernaise som gjorde dette til en svært god opplevelse. Vi fikk også en god start med bobler og dansk flagg på bordet! Hyggelige priser og store porsjoner med mat.

14/06/2025: Maden var god, servicen og stemningen i top, priserne rimelige. Men akustikken var elendig og gjorde det svært at høre, hvad sidemanden sagde. Jeg kunne godt finde på at booke her igen, men så ville det være på en af de roligere dage… måske i dagstid.

23/08/2025: Always a good place for a heavy dish of chips n stuff... Their moules fritte is wonderful. Huge portions too and at affordable prices. Quick and easy. Chose and grab your own drinks from the cooler. Student friendly, right in the old town area of the city. Been a while since the last time here, but they kept true to their bistro idea and against change of time. Easy seating, but never loved the high chairs without backs. Kitchy atmosphere and close seating.

13/08/2025: Reasonably fast service, good fries, no flavor in the dip, the sausages seemed like they had been fried several times, nothing to write home about.

22/07/2025: I have to update my review here two years after the last one, the sushi is still ok, not a wow experience, at that time I waited over 30 minutes for food, it had gotten a lot better, the staff was polite but still a bit indifferent. With all the delicious sushi places out there, this is not one of the ones you should choose if you want an experience

12/08/2025: The only reason it's downgraded to 2 stars is that you have to pay 30kr for a can of faxe kondi.

19/07/2025: Close to the square in Grenå, in the pedestrian street Lillegade, is this Thai Restaurant. We had a table outside and enjoyed the Thai specialties, which were tasty.

25/08/2025: We went to a wine bar this weekend as part of a stag party. The concept is super nice with really nice prizes and a nice atmosphere, but it was a bit of a strange start, as the stag party that had booked the same concept had not finished their bar when we were about to start ours. We had very different energy and noise levels, so it would have been more ideal if the bar had adhered to the times that had been set. Another slightly unfortunate thing was that there were almost as many of us on non-alcoholic as on regular wine, but only the wine with alcohol was presented. So it became a bit of a "second-class feeling" to be the half without alcohol. The guys who acted as ushers, however, should otherwise be highly praised for their energy and good mood.

31/05/2025: We wanted something to eat in the evening after a trip to Aarhus, but didn't actually go to a Turkish snack bar, as we expected to find a variety of doner meat options, similar to what we find in our home region. While the atmosphere is indeed similar to a snack bar, a super friendly chef welcomed us inside and prepared delicious grilled chicken and beef (not doner meat). It was practically a show cooking event, and the chef knows his stuff; the meat was beautifully cooked and tender and juicy. An absolute recommendation; we thank chance for bringing us here and the chef for his welcoming manner.
