02/04/2026: The best sushi I've ever had. Bought Too Good to Go and got 22 pieces of fresh and delicious sushi for 110,- kr. There are quite a few seats, so it's mostly a place for Take Away. In Bruuns Galleri.

17/03/2026: I really wanted Sushi, I checked the website and saw that there are 2 times. 10 and 11. I assume they open at the same time as the other stores in the center, 10. I get there at 10:40 (Bruuns Galleri), the store is open, but no sushi on the shelves. I ask if it is possible to buy sushi and he promptly answers "11 clock" when I say, but on your website it says.... I can't make it anymore. He just says "Yes yes" and leaves? Then get the mistake fixed and smile! That will suit you.

28/11/2025: The place has changed name and owner. Now it is called Guldværket and has been taken over by Philkjær who also has the fish restaurant opposite. At first glance, the concept seemed to follow previous gourmet grill ideas. The food seemed to have perhaps gotten a boost if you like. We started with 3 oysters which in the kitchen multiplied to 4 for the reasonable sum of 60 kr. You can get Champagne and a bottle of Andre Clouet grand reserve for 620 kr which is also a quite reasonable price. Entrecote perfectly tender and fried. There could have been a little salad, but otherwise again a very reasonable price of 225 kr for one of the city's best beef steaks. It should be emphasized that the menu offers other delicious things at somewhat lower prices for both food and drink. There were no other guests on this rainy Thursday afternoon, but I'm sure there will be more life at other times. Will definitely come again.

22/11/2025: Really good sushi. The selection wasn't the biggest I've ever had, but I didn't miss anything, and it tasted so good. What was supposed to be hot was hot, which was delicious, and it all seemed freshly made. They had Melona popsicles for dessert, which was super delicious and different from other Asian restaurants' desserts. The staff spoke English, but that wasn't a problem, and they were nice and smiling. I can only recommend the place, and will definitely eat here when I have to eat sushi in Herning. I'm already really looking forward to my next visit 😊

18/11/2025: Fantastic restaurant experience in Herning!!!! The food is really delicious and very Instagram-friendly 😉. The dishes are arranged in a way that makes it easy and inviting to eat sushi. When you are seated, the staff asks if you have been there before, and if not, you get a nice introduction to the concept. The staff is international, many of them students, but two of the female waiters speak Danish. It is not quite perfect yet, but they make a great effort, and it was nice to be able to speak Danish with them. Both were very welcoming, fast and generally super nice. They also ask about allergies and know the menu by heart, which gives the impression that they take the guests' needs very seriously. The restaurant is cozy and relatively small. It can get a little noisy when it is full, but you can always request a specific table when making a reservation, and they really try to accommodate that. The order is made via tablets, where you can tap on the pictures to see ingredients and allergens, really user-friendly. The food also came quickly. We ordered wine, which was served with free water that you can refill yourself, and we also tried a Japanese soda. We ate everything we could, and almost no leftovers, because everything tasted amazing. The fish was very fresh, the waiter mentioned that the chefs cut fish every day, and you can taste it. After the meal there was coffee, cake and ice cream. The restaurant is very clean, and the same goes for the toilets. They can be a bit cold in winter, but that is quickly over, and the restaurant itself is pleasantly warm. A little extra detail made the experience even better: the waiter told us that the wine bottle she was serving from was almost empty, and instead of throwing the leftovers out, she gave us an extra top-up in the glasses. A small gesture, but really appreciated. All in all, an excellent experience, both the food and the service were top notch. I doubt that any other ad libitum restaurant in Herning can match them. Highly recommended!

09/08/2025: Came in with a huge bias and thought another generic bar/Cafe concept. I only got wine but a huge plus for Taylors LBV at 64 Kr. for a glass and free Danish water ❤️ the service is friendly, fast and with personality. 5/5

08/08/2025: We got a fish soup as a main course. The portion was very small and lukewarm. On the bottom of the plate was cheese (it looked like grated cheddar from a bag) and what was called chili mayo (it looked and tasted more like buko pikant). Then you got 3 small spoonfuls of fish stock with tomato and onion on top. I really had a hard time tasting the fish, the soup quickly mixed with the big lump of cheese and buko pinkant-like substance. It turned into a disgusting mass that separated and pulled threads. I ate about 1/4, but still left feeling slightly nauseous. They claim that it is Latin's fish soup, -I can't recognize that at all.

28/05/2026: We visited Open Kitchen and absolutely loved it. Both the food and the service were absolutely top class. A special thank you to our waiter, Mads, who provided incredibly attentive and professional service that made the evening absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back!

10/04/2026: I had cuvette ad libitum with steak fries and bearnaise. All in all, it was a really good experience with good taste Update: 3rd visit – this time with the early bird concept. Starter: cappaccio in a somewhat different interpretation, but it tasted fine. Main course: beef cuvette with airy bearnaise foam, which also tasted ok. The wine menu was mixed – the white wine was fine, but the red wine really bad. All in all, it is a really nice place for the price, despite the bad smiley from the Danish Food Agency, which did give rise to some concern.

21/09/2025: Always a pleasure. Whether we take the drive trough or enjoy it in the store. Always nice and smiling staff. Even when you might have a few questions, they are ready to help or find answers from a colleague.

25/07/2025: When I arrive they don't have my entire order. They forgot to call and are demanding full price, even though it's their problem that they can't do a volume discount now. Also, the oven didn't work. The worst cake shop experience I've ever had. Go somewhere else.

10/11/2025: Thorkilds is an excellent place, I got the Long Island, which has a water tank so you don't get dehydrated.

08/04/2026: Cheap cakes to give and distribute at work, but unfortunately it's not the best quality and the ingredients aren't the healthiest, but it tastes delicious and what you would expect in such a place.

04/02/2026: A hugely disappointing experience getting a Shrove Tuesday bun from here. Dry, boring, flat and without filling. A product at a huge overpriced price, even though you could get 4 for 66 kr.

30/12/2025: Spent 50 minutes on hold on their phone. Drive down to the store to find out they are closed. Unprofessional.

05/12/2025: I had a really good pizza experience. The dough was perfect, the toppings tasted fresh, and every bite was truly delicious.
