23/09/2025: You really have to choose the right bakery. Some are quite good but others are quite average. The prices can't compete with the bakery shops in the larger supermarkets, for example, while the bread and cakes are not necessarily better. However, I would encourage you to support the local baker.

18/09/2025: Hartmeier is the "go to" place for breakfast, Hartmeier is also the only place for miles that sells salt and pepper rolls, and who doesn't like a salt and pepper roll? 🤠 The staff is always so smiling and welcoming, so it's really a bakery worth visiting!

20/04/2026: This is a charmingly furnished house near the Sylt ferry and the fishing harbor. The rooms are clean, and there's a kettle, tea bags, instant coffee, and a small refrigerator. A television is provided. The bathroom has a hairdryer but no vanity mirror. We had a private balcony overlooking the sunrise and access to a large shared terrace. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. We also ate dinner there, once à la carte and once from the buffet. Both are highly recommended.

09/06/2026: Was at a conference with overnight stay. Beautiful hotel with an atmosphere of the "old" days with nice decor. Service was faultless and the room was nice and clean. There are also good parking options close to the hotel at a reasonable price. Or free a few minutes walk away.

07/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at Marienlyst Strandhotel. The hotel is beautifully located right by the sea, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and luxurious, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and a large bathroom with two showers. Everything was thoughtfully designed and made our stay feel truly special. Although we did not have dinner at the hotel, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast early in the morning. The quality and selection were excellent and provided a perfect start to the day. I also visited the spa. While parts of it are currently under renovation, there were still facilities available to enjoy, and the experience was very relaxing. I am already looking forward to returning once the renovation is completed. One of the highlights of the hotel is its fantastic location. Sitting by the sea with a glass of wine, enjoying the view of Kronborg Castle (Hamlet’s Castle), or taking a peaceful walk along the waterfront creates a truly memorable experience. Marienlyst Strandhotel is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have visited in Denmark. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway, and I cannot wait to return.

21/08/2025: A wonderfully well-maintained hotel, where you can feel the owners' passion and love for their work. Niels and Connie Olesen make every guest feel welcomed and pampered. The breakfast is among the best we've ever had, both for the quality of the ingredients and the wide variety offered. The rooms are new, modern, and impeccably clean. A truly recommended property. 04/12/2025: Just steps from the lakes, the location is unbeatable. We liked their concept and the guys at the counter were super helpful and nice. Without a doubt, the bacon cheeseburger is the tastiest in its simplicity. Fries quality was average as well as the dips. One detail that pleasantly surprised me was that they had a container of tampons in the women's restroom. And even though I didn't need one at that moment, I appreciated them being there.
