17/05/2026: A cozy bistro with a wide selection. The food is very tasty. The fish burger was fantastic. Located on the harbor, it's very comfortable, sheltered from the wind, and offers a view of the harbor basin. This restaurant is definitely recommended.

11/09/2025: There were 4 of us on a trip to Helnæs, and the only place where you could get lunch was at Helnæs Kro. We were given the menu as soon as we arrived, and it all looked good, but we were also offered 4 times plaice, just arrived, completely fresh. We accepted that offer and spent the waiting time drinking some absolutely wonderful beers from Midtfyns Bryghus. The plaice arrived and they were absolutely tasty and with good sauce and potatoes. Good service meant that we also ordered desserts and here we were not disappointed either, quite the opposite. We left happy.

14/12/2025: Opposite of train station, but further nothing to do nor any bar or restaurant (beside a good but small grill store) in the neighborhood on waking distance. Hotel comes with wellness and conference facilities. Rooms without complementary water. Hotel restaurant pretence to offer fancy food; at least it is pricy. But very good breakfast buffet.

15/05/2026: Just visited Café Baghuset today with Mona. We got 2 well-coated open sandwiches, which were top-notch. The service was the same. I can highly recommend the place.

15/04/2026: It's a really nice place. Also a popular place. First time we were there and everything was practically booked up. But they had a table we could get if we didn't stay longer than 2 hours, so we jumped at the chance. It was a good decision. Delicious food, great atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

14/06/2026: My girlfriend and I wanted to go out for a meal at the last minute, Most of the restaurants we knew were booked, we were overcome with appetite, had never heard of it, and what a wonderful experience, fantastic food, really good service with competent waiters, and not least wonderful wine, We have found our regular restaurant, already looking forward to the next visit. 04/04/2026: Åben Århus is one of those places you always come back to. The atmosphere is relaxed, the beer is top-notch, and there is a genuine geeky love for good craftsmanship. The selection changes constantly, and you almost always discover something new and exciting on tap. 🍻 It also says something that Lucas Ørskov has practically made the place his second home. He reportedly drinks many jugs in there – and it's not without reason. Lucas brews his own beer and has even won silver at the Danish Home Brewing Championship, so when he approves of the level, you know the quality is high. 🍺🥈 A small practical note at the end: Remember to bring your own mug. It's part of the charm – and then you're ready for another good round.

23/03/2026: Chill place to hang with friends, more quiet in the basements. Board games available. Lift between levels available. Extensive beer menu and ebeltoft lemonade

06/06/2026: Saturday for lunch - ordered sandwiches. Not many guests inside or outside. But apparently two? hidden parties. No sound of problems. Then we heard a waiter remark to a new guest that there was some waiting time. We had to move “urgently” for our food. It was served 55 minutes after ordering. It's just not anywhere near just good enough. When you're not warned at the start. Sandwiches were generally ok. Packaged rye bread with cold cuts from some supermarket and a little mayo and some greens. It was definitely edible, but it didn't surprise us positively. The place left a negative and miserable impression. It's probably a great bar on Friday/Saturday, and that's what the place should probably be.

06/06/2026: If you want beer, good beer and different beers, this is the place! If you want to eat, don't. It takes a very long time and not worth the wait
