09/07/2026: We arrived with our bikes 10 min after closing time. The waitress was extremely friendly and regretted that the coffee machine was cleaned and out. She searched for another open Cafe in Ribe, which was very good. She basically saved our lives :-)

03/09/2026: They feature as bakery but actually only offer coffee and icecream. And not even sweetener for your coffee.

27/08/2026: An fantastic menu, exceptional ingredients, very friendly service and a great wine selection. A truly memorable experience. However, one thing left a bitter taste: being charged more than DKK 700 for filtered tap water. At a restaurant of this level and price point, I believe water should be a basic courtesy, not an additional revenue stream. A small detail, perhaps, but one that significantly affected an otherwise outstanding experience.

18/07/2026: What a way to spend an evening with friends! Outstanding service, creative and delicious food. It took us 5 hours to go through all the courses (by choice). Highly recommend and hope we’ll get to comeback.

12/09/2026: I had a really good experience at Kin Arai Thai Corner. When I took my first bite of my massaman curry, I was completely taken back to when I was backpacking around Thailand. The food is very authentic, and the same can be said about the interior of the restaurant, which is also inspired by the Thai streets and alleys. There is a cozy atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and constantly made sure that everything was as it should be. I will definitely come back again, and I would recommend ordering the shared appetizer, which is served on a very beautiful stand🪷

08/09/2026: RECOMMEND. PLEASE EAT HERE. It was my second time at this place, and the food was again amazing. To me it is clear that they offer high quality food, because of how many ingredients they throw into the dishes to enrich the flavor. I feel like thai food can become already tasty with half the types of the ingredients, but they go full out so that the dishes are beautifully presented, seasoned, with also a variety of textures. The best way to put it is probably, each plate is going to play an orchestra piece for your tastebuds.

13/09/2026: I am absolutely crazy about the kind of service I have received two days in a row. Your waiter who starts with A and ends with A is so rude. Even if you book a table you are not guaranteed a seat. What the hell is your point with a booking system? How can it be that I say that I am booking a table outside and then I am told that you do not book outside but then you put reservation signs on the tables OUTSIDE? You have a fucking questionable booking system. You only get 1 star and it goes to your food. - nothing else.

30/06/2026: My partner and I are greeted by polite staff and can choose a table outside. I choose a bun with butter and West Sea cheese, and of course expect a large portion of a bun with butter and cheese for 65 kr. (most other cafes charge between 35-40 kr for a BMO). Unfortunately, I am disappointed as one bun is divided into seven pieces, which are only three slices of cheese, and one tiny little packet of butter. Furthermore, it is a rather dry and chewy pleasure to eat the bun. I would probably have just chosen to divide the bun in two, so it required 2 pieces of toppings, rather than 7. My partner gets a slice of bread with tomato, three pieces of salmon and half an avocado on top. It tasted fine, but was incredibly difficult to eat, as it all falls apart, with such a presentation. Furthermore, he orders an espresso macchiato. There is a slight misunderstanding with the order, and he receives a latte macchiatto instead. He goes in and asks if it can be true, and is greeted by a rude waiter who immediately brushes him off. So he doesn't end up getting what he ordered, and we end up with a rather bad overall impression of the place. We did get a carrot cake, which was good, and all the other cakes looked good too. Based on our experience, Penny Lane Café can be recommended for coffee and cake, but nothing more than that.

25/06/2026: Wow! What a beautiful "place" in Aalborg. I don't even want to call it a café, because it's not really one. You can find something wonderful in every corner. The treats on offer look amazing. The prices are all reasonable. If you're ever in Aalborg, come here and take your time. Addendum: I haven't said anything about the fantastic staff. After visiting them twice over three days, a blonde lady really came across: always friendly, always smiling. She's the best service staff; you'd want to go to her restaurant or café. Plus, she's beautiful :-) I hope the Google Translate text is understandable :-)

23/08/2026: The selection of bread is a bit lacking, and I have often experienced large air holes in their spelt bread, among other things, the prices are high. The bread selection is extremely reduced, they should definitely improve, it's really boring.

30/08/2026: Lovely cafe with relaxed vibes and great service! Lots of options for all dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free. Generous portion sizes and loads of different dishes to try! Will be coming back :)
