31/08/2025: There may be several surf houses in Klitmøller, but none capture the spirit of Cold Hawaii quite like Viking Surf House. A few years ago, we had the joy of surfing with them at their previous location, so on this visit we were delighted to find them in a new spot right on the main road—complete with a fresh vibe, more seating, and a welcoming café atmosphere. Although we didn’t surf this time around, we happily made the most of their drink specials and were pleasantly surprised by their ice cream, sandwiches, and an array of unique gifts and local merchandise. The energy here is effortlessly laid-back—locals and visitors mingling, swapping surf stories, and enjoying the day together. The staff greet you with the warmth of old friends, and the cozy pallet couches practically invite you to linger, watching the world go by with the salty ocean breeze drifting in. The menu truly has something for everyone—breakfast, lunch, pizza, coffee, smoothies, and cocktails—all in one place. What lured us in that day were their draft beer specials, the perfect refreshment for a warm late-summer afternoon. Viking Surf House is more than just a surf shop or café; it’s a gathering place, a little slice of Klitmøller’s soul. Until next time—perhaps I’ll even be brave enough to catch a wave again!

14/10/2025: Birks is a small Café/Restaurant/Wine Bar, serving very well-prepared and tasty food and bread. They also serve a wide selection of good wine and beer at very affordable prices. There is always a cozy and relaxed atmosphere at Birks, where all guests feel welcome.

01/09/2025: This little coffee shop in Denmark has the BEST ever Danish cardemon and cinnamon buns and loads of other flavours. I even brought some back to South Africa much to my husband's delight.

25/09/2025: We had a wedding at Villa Kultur this weekend, where foodoir delivered absolutely fantastic food, delicious wines and really good service. Henrik and the others from foodoir are sweet, thoughtful and so easy to talk to, so our day was just as we had hoped. The setting at Villa Kultur is wonderful, and with food and drinks from foodoir, our day was just as magical as we had dreamed of.
