23/02/2026: I would like to complain about an experience I had with you. The man behind the counter first said that they couldn't make milkshakes. So I ordered an iced coffee instead. Right after, he said that they could make a milkshake anyway. Then I asked for a milkshake, but the one I was given was only almost half full. I think it was a bad experience and not up to par with the service and quality you expect. 23/02/2026🤡🤪

19/06/2026: Food was great. Service was off. First, we were missing some cutlery. Not a big deal, but the staff was hard to get hold of, hanging around in the bar. Then, we realize that the brunch arrived with no bread. We had to actually demonstrate that the menu did in fact say «bread» (after the slow process of contacting the staff once more). Otherwise a nice experience.

18/06/2026: I can't recommend this place after what I just saw. A kitchen employee came out of a restroom stall and went straight outside to look at his phone without washing his hands, then walked right back up to the restaurant. Absolutely gross and unsafe. 17-06-2026 just before 20 local time. Reply to owner. ​Are you seriously questioning what I saw? Instead of being defensive, you should talk to your employee. I know exactly what I saw in that downstairs restroom in Ishøj Bycenter, and you do not, since you were not there—unless, of course, it was you wearing the black jacket and glasses. ​As for your comment about needing to come inside the restaurant to see what happens: I do not need to follow your employees into the kitchen to know that basic hygiene begins the moment they leave a restroom stall. What I did see happened entirely in plain view of your customers. ​When I watched him walk straight back into the restaurant, the very first thing he did was pick up dirty dishes, glasses, and used utensils from a table where customers had just left. Handling a phone right after using a restroom stall, and then immediately touching used dining ware—all without ever washing his hands—shows a complete disregard for basic hygiene.

10/09/2025: Super good legs and super friendly staff. There was a free salad bar for a main meal, so really rushed. But it was always full.

19/08/2025: We stumbled upon “Café Apropos” on the evening of the 18th — the grand finale of our 8-day Danish road trip. And I do mean stumbled: it was 9:30 PM, we were running late, and desperately hunting for something to feed the kid. The place looked stylish and vaguely Parisian, so we thought, “Why not?” Well… the confusion began with the menu and only got worse from there. If this was meant to be a Parisian bistro, someone forgot to tell the kitchen. The kids’ chicken? Marinated in a spicy sauce — because nothing says “child-friendly” like a surprise kick of heat. Once we realized that, we swapped it for a delightfully thin hamburger tucked inside a hollow bun. Gourmet minimalism, perhaps? Meanwhile, the “tapas plate” featured jalapeños, tortilla sauce, and a few mystery items that defied identification. And the “Parisian steak”? Oh dear. It was a dry hamburger (dear “chef,” ever heard of beef fillet?) perched on a slice of yesterday’s bread, surrounded by random vegetables that added nothing but confusion — and later, stomach drama I won’t detail here out of mercy. The one bright spot? Our waitress. Cheerful, friendly, and just as baffled as we were when the kitchen insisted, “Yes, the baby chicken is marinated in spicy sauce — but just a little spicy!” Final verdict: charming decor, baffling food, and a culinary identity crisis (yes, including pasta with chicken). Proceed with caution — or better yet, don’t.

13/12/2025: We have just held our company Christmas party at Mela. We were very satisfied, the food and service were really good. We have eaten anti-pasti, pizza and desserts. We have tried many dishes from the menu. The pizza was exactly as it should be: lovely fluffy dough and very tasty topping. We have tried several pizzas and all were really good, especially the Tartuffo pizza was popular with our employees. The dessert was simply perfect. The staff was very friendly and service minded. We will definitely come back.

05/04/2026: Really nice place. On the plus side, really well-cooked meat can be mentioned. We tried three different kinds, and they all just played. Especially the lamb crowns were cooked to perfection. The garnish was quite basic, but was surprisingly well-cooked. Good, homemade pesto for the bread. Sweet and attentive service. Nice subdued music. Possibility to get a good glass of red wine without having to buy a bottle. On the minus side, plastic flowers on all tables can be mentioned, which gives a rather kitsch atmosphere. The tables were greasy under the placemats. There was almost no carbonation in our soda. The amount of sauce for the saltimbocca was far too small. We will definitely come back.

11/01/2026: Nice and tasty Brunch. With what it should be. It was cold inside and it was definitely drawing in stars. You couldn't keep warm if you sat by one of the big windows.
