The barista told us about the coffee, its precise preparation, we bought coffee beans to take home, and some merch (cups, t-shirt)... Too bad we're only in Copenhagen for a few days, otherwise we would come here regularly.

31/07/2025: Certainly not a 5-star experience at Hotel D’Angleterre. The service has been underwhelming from the start. I arrived around 2:40 PM and was told to wait until exactly 3:00 PM to check in. I assumed the delay might be due to my requests (extra tissues, more water in the room), but none of these were fulfilled. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and this is the first time I’ve been made to wait rigidly until check-in time with no flexibility. When I finally got to my room, I was hit by a strong musty smell in the hallway, and the carpet inside the room was even worse — stained, worn, and frankly disgusting. The service continued to disappoint. I had to call multiple times for turndown service. The complimentary water bottles were absurdly tiny, and when I asked for more, I was told the standard was just two per day, even though they’re complimentary. Breakfast was included in my rate, but no one informed me of the timing. I arrived at the restaurant at 10:33 AM, only to be told it had ended three minutes earlier — and no exception would be made. That level of inflexibility is baffling, especially for a supposedly luxury hotel. To top it all off, while sitting on the sofa in my room, I reached between the cushions and found a nail. I was genuinely disgusted. For the amount I paid, I expected far better. I’ll give them credit for the location and the comfortable bed — but that’s where the positives end. Hotel D’Angleterre is absolutely not a five-star hotel by any reasonable standard.

23/07/2025: We arrived quite spontaneously and were greeted by friendly service. The food was super good, arrived quickly, and, above all, wasn't overpriced like at many other restaurants. A definite recommendation for anyone who enjoys good Indian food!

23/07/2025: Excellent Indian food, truly delicious! We had garlic naan and butter chicken, and it was really good. Plenty of food, including plenty of rice. Very friendly and accommodating service. We also got a table at short notice, and the food selection was good. Great value for money, too! I would come back anytime and definitely recommend it.

12/08/2025: Not my first time here since 2023 and definitely not my last. Everything was beyond perfect from the beginning to the end, starting with the highly professional staff, amenable and to the point. I had the 4-course vegetarian menu, which was a little jewel of flavours, profoundly delicate. As I cannot drink white wine, the waitress made really great recommendations to pair my entire menu with red wines, all of which were excellent, including the French ones, and without any stupid “arrogance”, this is a Parisian speaking from his heart :) The place itself, on the square of St Nicholas’ Church, is totally delightful. Quiet, elegant, welcoming. I strongly strongly recommend Maven and for sure will come back as soon as feasible.

24/08/2025: A small, cozy restaurant with the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in for a great meal. The food was amazing, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. The menu changes often, which just gives me another reason to go back.

21/08/2025: Love this pasta place! My favorite carbonara in all of Copenhagen. The pasta is super fresh and all of their dishes are authentic and delicious. The staff is so friendly and even stayed open late one night to make a round of pastas for a group of friends I had visiting. A lifelong customer for sure!

12/08/2025: La Banchina is a lovely little place. Simple but well presented and tasty food, a nice selection of wines and beers, good coffee. The enclosed swim space is clean and catches the sun… a great place to hang out and catch the sun, read a book and/ or chat… thoroughly recommended.

19/08/2025: Cozy little pasta place with a different pasta every week. The owner seems very passionate about her pasta!

13/08/2025: We were visiting Copenhagen and decided to come in on a whim as we were staying nearby. The service and pasta was exceptionally. Would 100% recommend.

28/06/2025: Booked many weeks in advance and were seated at a table under the stairs in between the kitchen hen doors and the waiters” station. No other options available. The restaurant really should not seat people here. We left. Very disappointed as we had traveled from another country to visit.

Food: Delightful, flavorful, fresh, and creative vegetarian Green Menu. I absolutely would recommend the 3-course Green Menu. Service: Warm, attentive, friendly Atmosphere: inviting, not fussy, I appreciate all the greenery and plants in the restaurant
