03/12/2025: Brilliant - absolutely stunning

17/11/2025: I had an excellent experience at Mangai Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and very welcoming. The employees were incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. The food was exceptionally tasty, full of rich flavors, and beautifully presented. The wine selection was also impressive, and the glass I had paired wonderfully with my meal. Overall, Mangai is a place I would happily visit again and highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a pleasant dining experience.

16/11/2025: Friendly place with good beer selection. Good location, too—far less busy than the area around nearby Rådhuspladsen.

28/10/2025: It's a wine bar, so the theme is wine, but they have a 6-course Italian menu for 275 kr. per person, and bread costs 30 kr. (and their bread was so delicious, and something you needed for the dishes) we bought 2 glasses of wine each for 105 kr. per glass - all this to say; it ended up being a lot more expensive than we expected, but it was so delicious and a good vibe in the place with good music and very engaged waiters. So highly recommended as a light dinner that can last a long time and include a lot of wine.

01/07/2025: Food was good but what made our night special was the amazing service. Ida was so lovely! she explained everything very well and made us feel extremely welcome. Would definitely return!!!

08/12/2025: We enjoyed a nice lunch at Fru Nimb December 2025. The wife had the Christmas platter, which is served in two courses, where the first serving came nicely arranged in small bowls, with fresh bread and butter and fat. The second serving came on a smaller platter, from which you could transfer the food to your plate. Everything tasted fine, although the herring and salmon had a (very) slight "refrigerator" aftertaste. I think the kitchen has made parts of the Christmas platter in advance, and stored it in the refrigerator until serving (?) I got 2 pieces of sandwiches; fried herring, which consisted of a large piece of well-ripened herring that was tastefully marinated. Really tasty herring that tasted fantastic (& homemade) Next, butter-fried fish fillet with shrimp, and lemon mayonnaise. There were not many shrimp on the fish, but two pieces of well-fried fish, and tasted exactly as a well-prepared fish fillet should taste. Both pieces of sandwiches were very nicely arranged. In addition, we got a small share - appetizer, 3 beers, 3 large schnapps, 2 desserts and coffee, for a total price of approx. DKK 1,350. Absolutely reasonable in relation to the quality of the food and service.. It is also a quite nice and cozy restaurant, where you sit comfortably in upholstered chairs/sofa. The only complaint is the acoustics, which are not optimal... Acoustic ceilings/absorbents would make a big difference. Finally, the service; we experienced very good service, and were greeted with smiles and friendliness from everyone around us. Especially our (head) waiter Victor, who was at once skilled, professional, service-minded and very friendly, and really made a positive difference to our visit. We would like to come again.

23/11/2025: A fantastic Danish culinary discovery! We had a wonderful time as a couple at this restaurant. The dishes were delicious, generous, and beautifully presented. Special mention to our French waiter, whose helpful recommendations greatly enhanced our experience. Warm service, a pleasant atmosphere… We will gladly return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

13/11/2025: There were 3 of us there to eat our Mortens duck menu here. We don't do that anymore - we got a little duck breast and a piece of rump which was just bones no meat - add - the kitchen had to return the plate because of the bone - it came back with a smaller bone inedible - when the food was served it wasn't really hot - the sauce was way too thick - such a dish shouldn't be served with a knife that can cut - buy one with a proper blade - practice practice for that experience

20/08/2025: Good food and service. Unfortunately there was only one portion of fried pork with parsley sauce left. The tenderloin stew was a good substitute, though. Not many places like the old post office left where you can get regular good food without "truffle oil and tweezers" 😁 the place was well visited.

06/11/2025: Boring Club Sandwich. Boring toast and vegetables. Between one layer there was just a lettuce leaf. Not recommended

However The cevichi was strange, different...then real cevichis from Peru The risotto was ok simple rice with some dehidrated mushrooms on top The red wine Marguax was served below its recommended temperature. Then the service lacking experience Mind you ...I have been around on planet earth and dine 3 to 4 times a week in restaurants

09/09/2025: Ordered as Takeaway a Yakuza Roll without masago. I got home to Find out that the roll had masago. I called Sachi sushi, expecting they will offer to change it or give my money back or give me a boucher I could use in my next visit, something! and the answer was: a very pathetic and dry we are very sorry! We cannot do anything!! Its sad when we have to accept this treatment as costumers. We are paying for food but also for an acceptable service.

14/01/2026: Brasseriet 1861 delivers a complete experience, where both atmosphere and location play a big role. The venue has an elegant, relaxed atmosphere, and the view over the water gives dinner an extra dimension, especially at sunset. The staff are generally attentive and friendly, and the pace of service is pleasant without feeling rushed. The food is well-made and presented with care. The ingredients seem fresh, and the dishes have a good balance between classic brasserie style and modern details. The price level is on the upper end, which fits the hotel's profile, but also makes you expect a high level all the way around. However, there are a few things that can be improved. During busy periods, the noise level can increase, and it can be difficult to get the quiet, intimate experience you might hope for. In addition, the portion sizes of some dishes could be a little more generous in relation to the price. All in all, Brasseriet 1861 is a solid choice if you want a nice setting, good service, and a dinner that feels like a little luxury. A place that is especially good for special occasions or a relaxed evening with a view of the Øresund.

24/08/2025: We had the absolute best experience at Restaurant 1861! 🌟 The food was absolutely top notch – we have never had such good food before, and every dish was just right. The service was welcoming and professional, and the pace of the menu was perfectly coordinated, so we could enjoy the whole experience without having to wait too long. A special compliment must go to the manager, Mikkel Munte, who really does an excellent job. You can clearly feel his commitment and passion in both the atmosphere and the quality. We can only give our warmest recommendations – we will definitely be back! 🍷✨
