07/07/2025: Great location right on the canal. Great atmosphere and the food was excellent.

06/07/2025: Lovely location right next to the Slotsholm Canal - Especially in the summer months it must be a wonderful place to stay. Large and reasonably cozy bar and bar area with room for many people and in the summer many more. No serving or service at the tables, everything is self-service, including the food that is picked up from the food truck outside: We ordered Fish and Chips which consisted of two very small, very thin and very dry pieces of fish, just enough for four bites, most of which were breadcrumbs, plus fries and a cup containing a small dollop of chilli mayo just enough for 15 fries, DKK 165. It is a complete mystery to me that the kitchen and owner would even put a name to something like that, it shows zero respect for the profession and for the customers with such a dish. It turns out to be a total of 2 stars as a whole for the place and this experience.

23/06/2025: I ate at Grimal with a friend for the first time this spring, and it is now our absolute favorite restaurant in Copenhagen. Really good food and the staff were so nice and attentive. We are SO looking forward to going again.

People complain about the cigarette smoke and how packed the place is yet struggle to understand not every place is for everyone and should make you feel welcome lol the only weird thing i noticed is the ratio of old men to younger girls. other than that i find it hard to complain when 2bottled beers are only 35Kr

13/06/2025: Not only is it a super cozy place, with a good atmosphere between the staff, there is super delicious food and coffee. What I'm actually most happy to see is how Cafe Chaplin supports those who in many cases have a hard time. It's fantastic to see the interaction between the staff. Thank you for making our day even better.

13/05/2025: Really delicious pies! I have bought frozen pies several times and filled the freezer. I can also recommend their “fill my freezer” offer, where they deliver frozen pies to your door on Tuesdays 😊

06/05/2025: Got a Chicken Pie and a Beef Pie to go. Went home and baked it. The pies came out flaky from the outside while still being moist and well cooked from the inside. Will totally visit again and try the fruit based and vegan pies that they have!

13/06/2025: Lovely jazz bar with two distinct vibes depending on the night. When the live band is playing, the energy is vibrant, packed, and full of great music — perfect for jazz lovers. On quieter nights without the band, it’s a much calmer, more relaxed setting. If you’re into live music and a lively crowd, definitely check their schedule and go when the band’s on. It’s a fun, entertaining experience you won’t regret.

10/06/2025: A must-visit place for any live music lover! Through incredible fortune, we attended a concert right after their PA system was upgraded. Lucky for us, as sitting all the way to the right of the band still gave us great audio quality. This small bar was packed but the band was fantastic the entire evening. We stayed for all three sets and enjoyed every minute. Even with a packed crowd, we didn't have to wait long for a drink. Service was fast and friendly. Don't think about it - just go. You'll have the time of your life.

26/06/2025: We ordered Sushi ad Libetum, and it's about you marking on a piece of paper which ones you want. There are no pictures, and you really have to try hard to get the waiters' attention. So a pretty bad sushi ad libetum experience, I wouldn't recommend it for that. But the food was good.

06/06/2025: It’s my second time and I’m super happy to have somewhere like this in Albertslund! Thank you for everything! We tried bruschetta in our first time and it was quite good. We couldn’t even finish the olives that we ordered! Big portions and high quality service. Waitresses always kind and nice. In the second time, we went there for a coffee and dessert. I loved the tiramisu pictachio one! Also spaghetti ice cream was looking delicious. I’m attaching the photos!

21/06/2025: Completely overpriced and overhyped. Coffee is rocket science here, and the prices are correspondingly sky-high. Does the coffee taste better here than anywhere else? No! But if you need it 🤷‍♂️

15/06/2025: Best coffee I've had in along time. Very formal bright and sweet. A bit of a line at Sunday at 11am.

22/05/2025: Atmosphere and service was superb. The sushi itself was average. It was not bad but definitely overpriced. It seemed that the kitchen just lacked experience to perfect the rice.

26/06/2025: Had a warm goat cheese salad here for lunch on the second floor outdoor terrace overlooking the harbor and boats - was excellent - home made rye bread that was thick and grainy smeared with honey and his own green and red pesto duo to have with it along with honey cashews and walnuts and pomegranates. Excellent! Would redo any day for lunch.
