28/08/2025: Returned today from four days in Copenhagen at the Absalon Hotel. Excellent service, location, and the breakfast buffet were fantastic. Highly recommended.

22/07/2025: A real bakery – like in the good old days In a time when almost all bakeries are trying to reinvent themselves with sourdough, experimental coffee types and home-invented concepts, there are still oases of genuine, old-fashioned charm. On Amager – in the middle of vibrant Greater Copenhagen – there is a small bakery that refuses to follow the fashionable trends of the time. And thank God for that. Here, everything is reminiscent of the time when you were sent off on a bicycle with a coin in your pocket and a message from your mother: “Get a loaf of pastry – and remember, the one with the thick icing!” The window is still freshly painted, the cake recipes seem to have been inherited from a time when butter was butter, and you didn’t put three kinds of kernels in all bread. After all, it’s not canaries who are going to eat it – it’s us humans. There’s something touching and safe about a place like this. Here you can smell vanilla, freshly baked French bread and a time that is otherwise disappearing. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is informal, and they still sell raspberry shortbread that tastes like they did before someone started calling it “retro”. You might feel a little warm at heart. Because it’s not just a bakery – it’s a little piece of Denmark that still holds the flag high. I don’t think there are many of this kind left. But here is one of them. And it’s worth supporting

08/06/2025: Very delicious bread and rolls, a wide selection. Super friendly staff. For cake lovers, there are many different treats, including fantastic cinnamon rolls and heavenly strawberry cake.

01/09/2025: We had a terrific evening at Cleo last Friday. I am tempted to say this restaurant currently has the best match between price and quality out of any other restaurants that I’ve been dining in at in Copenhagen in recent years. Other places easily charge upwards to double Cleo’s prices for food that is less interesting, and I am blown away at what they do with their amazing 7-course menu at only 325 DKK – it’s absolutely a steal! Aside from the excellent food and cocktails (which are also very reasonably priced), the atmosphere is great and very lively. A special shoutout to our lovely waitress, Katarina with a K, and her sparkling personality who made sure that everyone at the table had an absolute blast!

08/08/2025: Really good service and food, would reccomend the pizza bread and the pork chop! Will definitely be back. The oysters are also super delicious.

26/05/2025: Stopped by this lovely little bakery and honestly, I’m already planning my next visit. The coffee was absolutely amazing—I had an oat flat white and it was smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right temperature. Easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. I also treated myself to a slice of cheesecake, and wow… it was incredible. Creamy, rich, with just the right amount of sweetness. Every bite left me wanting more. If I didn’t have to leave, I’d probably still be sitting there with a second slice and another flat white! The vibe in the bakery was warm and welcoming—definitely the kind of place you could spend a slow morning or afternoon. Highly recommend to any coffee and dessert lover.

24/05/2025: Went to 2 stores multiple times while we were on a short break in Copenhagen. Can thoroughly recommend the coffee, pastries and sandwiches. The stores can get busy a peak times but the efficient and polite staff know how to cope.

26/08/2025: Amazing food and so much to eat. Tasty, even 2 kids aged 7 and 2 thought it was great to try many dishes.

25/08/2025: There was crazy bad acoustics, staff kept coming and shaking the grill up and down, which made it difficult to control the grill. We had to wait to get to a table despite having booked a table. I think the selection of meat was very limited.

09/09/2025: Everything was flawless; the service was warm and attentive, with both the managers and waiters (thank you Bálint!) making us feel truly welcome. ✨ The food was fantastic and full of flavor, and the cocktails (with house made syrups and perfectly balanced recipes) were just as impressive. We had a wonderful evening and would wholeheartedly recommend this gem without hesitation 😊

31/07/2025: The food was delicious! Generous portions and delicious homemade naan. The service was also very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Besides meat, they also had good vegetarian and vegan options. We had a wonderful evening.

04/08/2025: Stopped by for a late lunch. Really delicious juicy steak and fish. Pleasant male waiter and good atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a cozy area right down to the beach, so of course we went for a walk down to the water. Definitely worth a visit 🍀
