20/03/2026: A Danish friend took us to this place and we couldn’t have been more grateful. The restaurant has a charming vintage atmosphere with a beautiful view of the ferry — the kind of setting that makes you want to linger. The food was simply splendid. The menu is a lovely representation of modern Danish cuisine, with a strong focus on seafood and recipes that genuinely reflect the flavours of Denmark. A highlight were the small Danish potatoes — humble, but absolutely delicious and so authentically local. The service was warm and very attentive throughout. This is exactly the kind of place you’d only discover through a local, and exactly the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. Highly recommended!

14/12/2025: This review is for Return downstairs. We had read about a "cozy atmosphere" downstairs, but the reality was a bit jarring—it felt more like a bunker. Compounding this, the room was very loud, primarily from groups having their meals before a night of partying. The advertised fine dining experience also fell short. The promised carefully chosen wine pairing for the three-course menu was simplified to a suggestion to just stick with one red wine, with the candid reason that the others were "boring." The initial experience definitely missed the mark on the high-quality, quiet night we had hoped for.

05/10/2025: Palazzo Diner is a bit “tucked away”, located just across from the Palads cinema, but it’s definitely worth finding. The food is delicious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. My friend had the fried chicken burger, which was incredibly tasty, and I had the gnocchi with tomato sauce – also really good and full of flavor. It’s not exactly cheap, but honestly, very few places in Copenhagen are anymore. All in all, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re heading to the movies or just looking for a great meal in the city center. Second visit: Palazzo Diner – Axeltorv, Copenhagen We had a wonderful evening at Palazzo Diner, a cozy and stylish spot with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. For starters, I went with the sliced roast beef served with crispy fries. The roast beef was thinly sliced, tender, and flavorful, and the idea of rolling the beef with the fries made it both fun and delicious. The fries are a must-order — perfectly seasoned and topped with cheese, they pair well with any dish on the menu and are great for sharing at the table. Next, I tried their popular Spinach Carbonara. The sauce was mild yet creamy and comforting, coating the pasta beautifully. It’s a lighter and greener twist on the classic, and I really enjoyed it. We also shared their meatballs, which were absolutely fantastic — some of the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, rich in flavor, and served with a lovely tomato sauce, fresh bread, and a creamy ricotta topping — just perfect. For dessert, we ended with a smooth and tasty panna cotta and an affogato — a simple but wonderful combination of vanilla ice cream and espresso, perfect for coffee lovers. Overall, Palazzo Diner is a truly delicious spot — great food, pleasant atmosphere, and attentive staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort food with a twist in the heart of Copenhagen.

04/06/2025: We visited the café twice and can highly recommend it, away from the hustle and bustle. The owner is very friendly and prepared the food and drinks himself. The speed was absolutely reasonable. The food is simple but very good. Both the hummus and salmon sandwiches were very reasonably priced and fresh. The Moroccan soup is highly recommended. The cake was also very tasty (be sure to try the caramel). Only the cortado was a bit too watery for my taste. I can't really confirm reviews that describe an unfriendly attitude towards children. Our child felt comfortable, and we were treated with understanding when he got a little loud. If we ever go to Copenhagen again, we will definitely visit the café again.

21/10/2025: We were there during dining week in week 42. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the waiters are sweet and welcoming. Especially their ravioli with mushrooms was so delicious, but everything was really delicious. Worth a visit!

18/12/2025: Insanely good pastries :) fresh, local and surprisingly cheap. The only thing you can put your finger on is their croissant, which in my opinion is a bit too “dry”. Apart from that, it’s all some of the best pastries I’ve ever tasted!

29/12/2025: A fantastic place to stop for lunch, in a timeless setting on a small square with a charming church. The restaurant is admittedly quite intimate, but its unique style blends traditions with a very dated yet charming architectural style. It's a place steeped in history, served by young, friendly staff, offering good quality Chinese food and an exciting atmosphere. It's also an excellent place to warm up on a cold day. You pass through an old door and down a narrow corridor, finding yourself in a world that, personally, reminded me of Harry Potter. The prices are reasonable, and you can order several portions or a single dish. The service is very quick, and while the atmosphere is very pleasant, be aware of the noises that make it feel like a children's school cafeteria: the clattering of cutlery, conversations, and the whirring of the stoves. Ultimately, these sounds contribute to the unique style and ambiance of the place. Don't miss it!

31/10/2025: i wish every restaurant did this trio choice thing , it would really save me so much emotional turmoil from indecision every single time i go out. pizzas were also a good size and i think the price was reasonable — PLUS, you get your own mini pizza cutter which i thought was super fun. the space was a bit small but it really added to the nice quaint, cozy vibe. i got the sweet cheesus, rosemary bacon, and the fall special pumpkin & parmesan. my favourite was probably the sweet cheesus, which was slightly sweet, super warm and juicy with stretchy, melted cheese, and was just super comforting. i also really enjoyed the balance of the smoky, salty bacon and the slight sweetness of the crunchy pumpkin slices, along with the faint aroma of the rosemary. the pumpkin & parmesan was not really as notable, and i wish there was a stronger, sweeter pumpkin flavour. the chili flakes did add a nice spice to it though. i also tried the truffle and thyme, which had a lot of mushrooms with a really strong wild mushroom taste to it, and honestly not enough truffle. all the crusts were quite crispy, but the dough did get just slightly too chewy/tough for me as it cooled pretty quickly. i recommend getting a dip because eating the crust is always better with a dip.
