17/08/2026: We are one with celiac disease and one who eats gluten. Chose this place as someone had highlighted gluten free here. The gluten free available were summer rolls with duck and various Phơ Xao (fried rice noodles). Tried both and was satisfied, good food and generous portions. They seemed to have good control, and had gluten free soy sauce. The gluten eater got fried wontons and soup no. 38 and was also full and satisfied.

31/07/2026: Very disappointing experience. There were two guests. One's food had obviously been waiting for the other's food to be cooked. In any case, it was half cold and limp when it finally arrived. I couldn't bear to complain. I had already waited far too long for the food. The food wasn't inedible, but that's all.

29/08/2026: Really delicious pizzas. There was a lot of waiting and unrest, but there was a city festival so we think that's the reason.

14/08/2026: We had brunch at Al Sultan. It was exceptionally delicious. We have often had dinner there and it has always been really good. They make the best skewers and the side dishes are always delicious. The brunch today tasted fantastic. And the price was more than reasonable. Can only recommend that place. Always polite service and always really good food.

10/10/2026: We were there for lunch today. The food was as standard as it should be at a Bones, but the service was not top notch. Young girl who was very short-tempered with bordering on sarcastic comments to our questions and a bit condescending answers. Not a good experience in the service area. Clean toilets and restaurant.

06/09/2026: Overall, a very good restaurant. The atmosphere is great. As a restaurateur, there's still room for improvement, especially if you want to make money! The key issue here is drinks! Unfortunately, many people make the mistake of not asking about drinks after ordering their food!

04/10/2026: Terrible, under construction. Staff forgot basic utensils. Food not fresh and tasteless. Sketchy people outside drink in middle of the day staring into restaurant.

07/02/2026: Nice take your own salad table and with 3 different types of meat that were cut to the desired size. Homemade ice cream for coffee table and Tasty coffee. Nice premises.

25/07/2026: Nice hotel, VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. Pretty small gym. Hotel very well located. Amazing breakfast!

11/07/2026: I would happily return to Hotel Royal in the fall, winter, or spring. The building is charming (the glass-domed restaurant off the the spiral stair case is a dream), and the staff is warm and attentive. Caveat: air conditioning is not as advertised. The room we paid a premium for had a non-functional unit, and when we went to the desk to report the issue, we had to wait behind guests there to discuss their own malfunctioning A/C. We were offered a credit, but the night of sleep was mostly a loss. It wasn’t an ideal experience, but enough was great that the next time we’re in Århus during a season when the probable high is 20° or less, look for us at the Hotel Royal.

04/09/2026: We relied on the reviews and can only thank the reviewers for their realistic assessments. I can confirm everything: fantastic, friendly service, just as you'd hope; the food was very good and the cappuccino excellent. A wonderful atmosphere, both inside and out, designed to make you feel comfortable and linger – in a setting that doesn't give you any indication of such a place. Should we be in the area again, we will definitely eat here. Highly recommended. One more thing: since it's quite busy, a reservation is advisable.

12/09/2026: Just a really nice place for some refreshment and it's one of the oldest places in Aarhus. Nice seating inside and out.

07/09/2026: We went for a breakfast buffet on an early Saturday morning. The acoustics were surprisingly good even though the crowd was concentrated. There was a lot to choose from, everything tasted quite good and the staff at least had a yes hat on the whole time :)

30/09/2026: Absolutely the best shawarma I've ever had. I used to eat at Bilal's, but now I can proudly say that Shawarma Elite has stolen the top spot. Really delicious and full of filling. Thank you so much for the great service and fantastic, delicious food! 😍

30/09/2026: Seriously the best shawarma I've ever tasted! 🤤😍 Aarhus has many great places, but Shawarma Eliten is really something in itself. Super good service, nice employees and a really good atmosphere. I can't wait for the next time! 🙌🏼
