23/06/2025: Nice bun with cheese, but unfortunately the coffee was very bad. It was thin and the milk was heated so much that it burned your tongue.

12/06/2025: Bread is expensive and bad! The supermarket sells better quality. Big disappointment!

19/07/2025: There were two of us who both ordered Grøftens' signature dish, skipperlabskovs, served with chives, beetroot, rye bread and butter. We knew it was really good from before. But no, it definitely wasn't anymore. It was just mashed potatoes with shredded beef, with a few dry bay leaves on top. The skipperlabskovs wasn't cooked properly, and the dish lacked both onions, peppercorns and bay leaves, and thus the right taste. The beetroot was drained and far too dry, which meant that the sharp vinegar taste was missing. The beetroot was therefore not fresh! The dish was simply not cooked correctly, and it was simply the worst skipperlabskovs we both have ever tasted.

23/07/2025: The wheat bread is ok, with a slight overdose of sourdough. The wholemeal bread tastes too much of malt. You get the feeling that you are eating mash from a beer brewing. The cinnamon bun contains too much butter and is not delicious. My children said that it tasted like rice porridge. In general, the price (bread 50kr, bun 30kr) is too high and can only be justified if the product is sitting right in the cupboard (and a little over) - but it is not. July 19, 2025

08/07/2025: If you are going to use the name of the greatest steak and BBQ state in the world then you had better make sure your food is up to the same standards, well let me tell you Texas in Bornholm did not disappoint, I had the cheese and bacon burger with chips and it was absolutely perfect, service was quick and very friendly and for a small island that is pretty expensive the food was at a reasonable price. 15/06/2025: It was our first experience in Denmark, and we couldn't have wished for a better start. The place has a fantastic concept that we can highly recommend to anyone who appreciates genuine atmosphere and musical charm. It felt like stepping back 30 years in time – when you were still allowed to smoke indoors, and the atmosphere was intimate and authentic. We were pleasantly surprised by Signe (we hope we remember her name correctly), who dedicated a song to us – a really nice and personal gesture. The pianist and the other singers also delivered a strong and atmospheric performance. We were there on Wednesday – and we came back on Friday, it was that good! We felt very welcome and almost like regulars, even though we were the only tourists. We will definitely come back one day when we are back in Denmark.

16/05/2025: Tried it for the first time - what a brilliant concept. Had a delicious pastry and a cup of coffee. The price is very adequate, the selection of goods is wonderful and the space is cozy and clean! 🥰

24/06/2025: Snagged a late booking at this cozy little place. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was as relaxed as a Sunday morning. The menu was well-rounded. The cappellacci was the star of the show, and the tiramisu was a salty surprise. A bit pricey, but hey, quality comes at a cost!

22/06/2025: We visited Piola very late in the evening, around 9:40 PM, completely spontaneously – and were welcomed incredibly warmly. Despite the late hour and a menu that was already limited, the staff made a real effort to give us a wonderful experience. The service was attentive and personal, fast, friendly, and thoroughly professional. The atmosphere is stylish, lively, and still cozy. We had olives, cappelletti with ricotta, great cocktails, and a classic tiramisu. Everything was of extremely high quality and absolutely great in taste – authentic, Italian, and prepared with love. The vibe was open, warm, and genuine. You do pay a bit more, but in return you get real craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and an evening you’ll remember fondly.
