05/06/2025: Came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Definitely love the vibe and staffs! We ordered Siomay Udang, Tahu Gejrot, Gado Gado, Mariah Curry, both desserts and our FAVORITE is the Seafood of the Day - a must try! 09/05/2025: We had a great dinner at the samuel. Our reservation was on a Thursday night and it seemed to be a quieter night with only three tables booked. We arrived early and enjoyed a cocktail at the bar before being led to our table. The service was excellent and the drinks as well. The 8 course menu was very good but had a few dishes that stood our over others. Especially the beef and the lagoustine were definitely standouts. We opted for the half wine pairing that was arguably 3/4 as only two of the 8 wines were skipped. Overall the pairing was very nicely selected and worked very well. The you somiler was very knowledgeable and overall great. As a little surprise, we had some dishes present to us by one of the chefs who spoke German. The wait staff did this without us asking for it or us telling them that we are german (my wife is american and we only spoke English). Anyway a nice little touch even if it was not necessary. Another highlight of the visit was rhe cheese room, where one of the chefs explained each cheese to us. Afterwards, the somiler gave us a tour of the wine cellar. A very unique experience but again, a nice touch. The interior was mostly nice. However there were a few art pieces that may not he for everyone. I found them quite funny but the cartoonish waiter with a huge knife or the waiter with blood soaked hands were definitely not matching the rest of the decor. I found it entertaining my wife wasn't a fan. Over all, we had a nice experience at the samuel and it is worth the visit. The price is appropriate for a fine dining experience in Copenhagen and the service and food deliver what you expect.

19/05/2025: Is a little piece of Italy in Frederiksberg. Fabio is a present and charming host, who brilliantly guides guests through the most wonderful food and wine. Everything is homemade, even their Limoncello. The atmosphere is wonderful, you feel like you are in Tuscany. Our very best recommendations to Fabio and his team

03/05/2025: Great Italian Restaurant in Frederiksberg. Big selection of Italian wines. Food offerings divide into a la carte dining and different menu offerings with optional wine pairing. Great place to explore Italian food beyond pizza/pasta. Seating is a bit tight but staff is really nice and attentive. Would for sure come back!

01/07/2025: One of the best pizzas in Copenhagen. The waitress is very attentive and helpful, and the prices are fair. The wine isn't the best, but the whole experience is very worthwhile. The tiramisu is too good, tho!

17/06/2025: Had a lovely meal here although it was very busy on the night we went. Had 3 different courses and each one was lovely. Staff were very friendly and looked after us well. The guy making the pizzas was a very busy man indeed and made us two beautiful pizzas. Fabulous meal would definately recommend.

17/06/2025: Unfortunately, a very disappointing and dangerous experience. I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but the seriousness of what happened at Garbanzo compels me to speak up. I ordered a chicken salad and clearly specified that it must be gluten-free and dairy-free due to intolerances. Despite this, I was served a salad that not only appeared to contain gluten (likely from farro or a similar grain), but was completely drenched in sauce….so much so that it was hard to even see the ingredients underneath. I strongly suspect the sauces contained dairy, as I suffered a severe physical reaction shortly after eating, which completely ruined my last day in Copenhagen. Even hours later, I am still feeling extremely unwell. This level of incompetence is dangerous. Had I been allergic instead of intolerant, the consequences could have been life-threatening. Restaurants must take dietary restrictions seriously….not just for customer satisfaction, but for basic health and safety.

01/07/2025: Stunning hotel in the heart of Copenhagen city. The staff are all 5 star & can’t do enough to help you. We did the Bridge run when we were there & they put in a basket of fruit & recovery food & drinks which was a lovely touch, that and the lovely notes they left every day. Rooms were great but not enough plug sockets & storage space for toiletries in the bathroom which is a real issue in every hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We didn’t eat there at all, breakfast wasn’t included, so we can’t comment on the food but A true 5 star hotel & experience.. as it should as it’s pricey. A place to stay if you want a 5 star experience & to treat yourself

30/06/2025: A place with style, soul, and substance. During my time in Copenhagen, the Marchal at d'Angleterre was always a little island – sometimes for special moments, sometimes for quiet time out with a cappuccino or tea. The atmosphere is timelessly elegant, the service warm and attentive, and the setting simply unique. Whether at Sunday brunch or in the evening by candlelight – here you experience hospitality of the highest order. For me, one of the most beautiful places in the city. Thank you for many wonderful memories.

29/06/2025: Massive Smørrebrød and Honest Portions – A Must-Try Spot! 💪🇩🇰 Our first-ever smørrebrød experience—and Smagsloget nailed it! We ordered #6 and #15, and both were incredibly tasty and absolutely massive. Seriously, one sandwich is more than enough for two people—so order with caution unless you're very hungry. Yes, prices are around €15 per sandwich, but this is Copenhagen. Considering that one smørrebrød can feed two, it’s not as pricey as it sounds. 😋 Don’t expect fine dining vibes—it’s more of a high-end fast food spot with a practical setup. That said, you can pay with euros and dollars, which was a pleasant surprise. Only odd part: no beer! Apparently they don’t have the license, which feels a bit strange for a sandwich spot in Denmark. Service was professional, no miracles, but solid. Definitely recommend if you're curious about Danish food, hungry, or both.

09/06/2025: Wir waren zu Dritt (meine Tochter, mein Neffe und ich) zum Mittagessen hier. Natürlich kann man sich - wenn man denn will - etwas über Lage (im oberen Bereich des Fußballstadions) und Einrichtung (sehr skandinavisch schlicht und modern, aber weit weg von "IKEA") mokieren, ich finde allerdings beides cool und dort auch sehr stimmig. Und der sehr direkte, sehr sympathische, lockere aber gleichzeitig hoch professionelle Service passt wunderbar zu diesem Ambiente - besonders erwähnenswert in diesem Zusammenhang ist die "Führung" durch das gesamte Restaurant (einschließlich dem Teil des dort beheimateten Weinkellers mit den "Weinen zum Zeigen" ;-), hallo DRC!, dem Private Dining Bereich / der Vorbereitungsküche etc.), die jedem Tisch nach den Hauptgängen angeboten wird. Das war ein tolles Erlebnis! Aber zum Wichtigsten, dem Essen: Das ist wirklich außergewöhnlich und in seiner Zubereitung und Präzision nahezu perfekt. Man kann anders auf 3 Sterne Niveau Essen, aber nur schwerlich besser. Angesichts der Vielzahl der (unfassbar guten) Gänge fehlt der Platz, sie alle zu beschreiben, besonders hervorheben möchte ich allerdings alle 4 Amuses (eins besser als das nächste, allen voran die Makrele mit der Essenz von gebackenen Tomaten), den Kohlrabi (unfassbar gut dazu in der Wienbegleitung der "Y") die Essenz vom Spargel mit frischem Trüffel und den Zander - Hammer. Die Desserts stehen ihren Vorgänger-Gängen in nichts nach, alles wird von einem wirklich (in jeder Hinsicht) perfekten Service wunderbar präsentiert. Die verschiedenen Weinbegleitungen (4 an der Zahl) sind spannend (gilt auch für die nicht alkoholische Begleitung, die wir auch probiert haben, extraordinär!) in der Auswahl zu Teil herausragend, aber leider auch sehr teuer (das Essen ist ja auch schon nicht ganz billig), allerdings wird großzügig "aufgetoppt", auch bei den mit Coravin servierten Weinen. Wir hatten insgesamt ein außergewöhnliches Mittagessen, an das alle Beteiligten sicher noch lange zurückdenken.

30/05/2025: Reservamos con 6 meses de antelación, pero esta experiencia gastronómica valió la pena la espera. Desde el punto de vista, a través del recorrido de la parte trasera de la casa y su bodega fue una experiencia gastronómica inolvidable. El menú de primavera era una cacofonía de presentación magnífica y sabores increíbles.

04/05/2025: If you want a really good stone oven pizza, you can certainly eat from here. The dough is crisp and well salted, carefully chosen toppings and a fine selection. If you are a big fan of tomatoes, you can perhaps buy a small cup of fresh tomatoes and dip your crusts in. Crazy delicious!!
