26/06/2025: Really cool restaurant with an incredible grill buffet, many different kinds of meat and poultry, but the most interesting thing was probably the kangaroo meat.

21/06/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a fantastic experience at Restaurant Flammen in Herning! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting – perfect for an evening with family or friends. The selection of meat is impressive, tender and tasty, and the buffet has something for everyone. The staff was friendly, smiling and attentive the whole evening. A place where you feel welcome, and which I would definitely like to visit again. Highly recommended!

12/07/2025: Good experience but with a few 'buts',😊 The girls had super good service. At first we were turned away by a male waiter (who later turned out to look like someone who actually didn't feel like working) but just as we were on our way out the door they said we had found a table 😃💪 great, because we had been looking forward to it. The food was really good, it was shooting stars and tartar. Tartar was soooo delicious! And the fries were SO good!!! The shooting stars were also okay, a great way to rethink a shooting star, really nice, though small and yes a bit disappointing actually 😊, however it was very small when you look at the price and location. It didn't really harmonize, but it tasted fine. 😊 The desserts were also good, and very fresh and tasty 👌 The service was okay when it was the girls but the guy who was working as the only boy in the restaurant seemed uninterested, and the way he almost swung the food around when he served to the different tables, brilliant just that he didn't look like someone who wanted to be there. Unfortunately. But all in all a good experience, and will definitely come again 😃🥰

30/06/2025: The price is too high compared to the quality of the room and the breakfast. The hall is very nice. The staff is really nice. Parking is a nightmare in the inner city of Aarhus, so the best thing is to arrive by bike.

02/06/2025: The food was uninteresting and not proportional to the price. The whole thing seemed uninspired and out of step with what one should expect in 2025. Cold red wine, improperly cooked meat, shrimp from the refrigerated counter and cake that tasted suspiciously like one you'd get from most provincial bakeries and again, cold. The place has performed at a higher level in the past.

16/07/2025: Got a takeout burger here to take back to my hotel. There was only one person working so there was a little bit of waiting time but he was really friendly and attentive. Food was hella dirty and hella good.

30/05/2025: A cozy little café with a somewhat simple but very interesting menu. I get the impression that they have selected a few but good dishes, from which they create some creative and delicious food experiences. I have been there twice, both times with my daughter. Welcoming people who are willing to make a children's dish. Good prices. Delicious food. Generally very cozy.

25/05/2025: The yellow café is a super cozy café, it is popular and without table reservations, so you have to be quick and lucky. Their buns are super delicious, as are their cardamom rolls. However, the soft-boiled egg for my breakfast was hard-boiled, and there was a scant amount of butter with the bun. The atmosphere is lovely, and spacious. But unfortunately the acoustics are super bad. So when it is full (which is always), it is difficult to talk.

24/06/2025: Restaurant Flammen delivers exactly what you hope for when you go to a buffet: something for every taste, plenty of everything and no one judging you for taking the pork roast a third time. It tastes as it should – no more, no less – and that is precisely its strength. You know what you are getting, and you get it hot, well-oiled and in nice surroundings. It all verges on a feast, especially if you let go of the control in the queue at the grill, but Flammen balances it surprisingly well with slightly dim lighting, friendly service and an atmosphere that makes it all a little more refined than it should be with the amount of bearnaise in circulation. Herre og Fru Fræskesteg would love it – and I actually do too. You don't leave here hungry or disappointed – only with a tired stomach and maybe a little guilt. All in all: A solid buffet place where you can both eat your way through and still feel a little nice in the process.

07/07/2025: I was invited to eat at Pavarotti and since I had never been there before I was really looking forward to the experience. Perhaps because I had looked forward to it too much, my expectations were unfortunately not met. The main course was mediocre and without character while the starter, which was bresaola, was somewhat better.

02/07/2025: Nice "small" place. Pappa has a good sense of humor, and nice appetizers and pasta. Good pace at Pappa. Nice decoration with Pavarotti and other famous people. The prices were reasonable.

15/07/2025: A really nice restaurant with a fantastic courtyard. The menu is kept simple with a string of classics and something for everyone. We got three dishes that were right out of the box and at a reasonable price. The staff is young and friendly with good energy. Why not five stars? We ordered smoked almonds, but got just almonds 😂
