02/03/2025: The salad pizza is nothing to shout about. There was no cucumber on it and far too much dressing! The pizza wasn't cut either :(

16/01/2025: The hotel has a small reception just inside the front door. We were checked in efficiently by a friendly young man. We requested a wheelchair-friendly room on this occasion (my wife had an accident) and we were given a very spacious room a short distance from the reception. I’ve given 4 stars for the room because it was spacious and easily accessible, as well as comfortable. If this was an expensive room, I could make some negative comments about furnishings and housekeeping. I choose not to on this occasion because it is great value for money. Breakfast was included and was reasonable. Parking was easy on the evening we arrived, but was problematic the next morning.

31/05/2025: Really bad shawarma which was dry and no salad or dressing in the roll. French fries were old and reheated. Drink was also completely hot, just before you could boil an egg in it. Can't recommend the place.

28/05/2025: We had to wait in the drive-in for 25 minutes, and the food was very bad and soggy. The staff was more interested in talking to each other than giving us good service. By far the worst experience of all the fast food restaurants I have visited.

09/06/2025: We booked the suite as a two-day stopover. It was beautifully furnished and perfect for three people. The bathroom was large enough, but it was a bit musty. The breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. The service was very attentive and helpful!

01/06/2025: We were there as a family with two children (8.8 years old) and a dog for our short vacation. The hotel is equipped with everything you need, the beds were comfortable and clean, and because we were out and about so much, we were almost only there to sleep. When checking in, we specifically asked if the dog could come into the breakfast room (we've seen this from other hotels), and the answer was explicitly yes. On the door to the breakfast room was a sign with two cute dogs looking at a text, which was entirely in Danish. It said something like: "Vi Elsker Hunden .... Restaurant..." That's what I read and thought to myself, how cute, those lovely dogs, that makes everything clear, double confirmation. The next morning, we took the little one with us, tied him down at the table, and for once, he was just patient and calm. Then we took him out after breakfast, and the lady at the front desk was completely horrified and got quite angry, saying it was completely forbidden throughout the country. Then she gesticulated and complained a bit. I apologized, of course, and said we had specifically asked when checking in. The next morning, next to the Danish sign, there was another one in English: DOGS ARE NOT 🚫 ALLOWED! 😀 Furthermore, when we checked out today, Sunday at 11 a.m.: I got the car, my husband was waiting with the heavy suitcases, dog, and children, and I assumed he had the more difficult task. However, I was wrong; the car couldn't be moved behind the train station because a marathon was scheduled to take place throughout the city, and all the surrounding streets were closed. But there was no information about this anywhere. Neither from the hotel nor on posters in the city... There was only one way from the train station to the hotel, and it was doubly barricaded. I simply pushed the barricades aside at some point, didn't take my cell phone with me, and my family was waiting. There wasn't a soul who could tell me what the point was. Then, around two corners, I met a police officer who told me I had to hurry as fast as I could, because the start was in 15 minutes, and then no one would be able to make it through the rest of the day. After I picked up the family, we still had a few barricades to cross before we finally found our way out of the city, and it was very, very problematic, hectic, and the police officers were unfriendly (I kind of understand), but I think it was really the hotel staff's fault that they didn't inform the out-of-town guests. A notice on the door would have been enough. (Marathon throughout Kolding around 11:30 a.m., streets will be closed) The staff you interact with are very young, and their English is poor; if you work in a hotel, you should already be fluent in the language. And since I've already written so much, I'll add that the toilet paper is only single-ply, which I think is excessive for a hotel as a cost-cutting measure. The shower head was broken off in such an inconvenient way that when you hung up the shower head, it turned towards the bathroom, and the bathroom was half-flooded every time. The fact that you can get coffee, tea, and fruit at any time is great; even if you need an extra spoon or something, it's no problem. The breakfast is absolutely sufficient, I think.

20/05/2025: Nice restaurant, good and friendly service. Taking care of special requests if you want to change something. I really could recommend to visit the restaurant if you stay on Ærø. They take just cash, which is perfectly fine. An ATM is cross the street

16/03/2025: Good pizzas, but when you choose a medium pizza and pay more for it than a normal size, then it should also be bigger and not just 30cm like a normal one.. Just bought a regular and medium, and both are 30cm🤦‍♀️

08/03/2025: With all the traditional pizzerias we have in town, this place is my favourite. Good, polite service, fantastic selection on the menu and the taste never disappoints

14/05/2025: Fast-food pizza type of place, which actually had an excellent Margherita? The Vegetariana was a bit too greasy however. We were in a rush and got our pizzas in 10 minutes 10 min before closing time, good service.

14/06/2025: I ordered two pizzas for delivery quite late, and despite the time being close to closing time, they arrived 20 minutes before the expected delivery time, with two tasty pizzas. Highly recommended

10/05/2025: Last time I've been there!!! This is the second time the owner ignores it, I have asked clearly if you want it!!! His one employee who took the order even said(+wrote) it to him while I was hearing it(standing and waiting)!! But the owner ignores it completely, and can hear him "scolding/creating" himself beyond what was asked, to his employee!! You can obviously afford to be so arrogant (ADD!!!) towards a regular customer, and throw them away!! NEVER again Alsgade Pizza!!!!!!!!
