20/05/2026: They couldn't understand my everyday Danish but I got what I wanted and it tasted delicious.

04/05/2026: Stopped at the drive-thru in the camper and received excellent service. The sandwiches were delicious—a tuna and a roast beef, no fuss and amazing bread. And the cakes... They looked like little clouds!! Nothing but praise.

25/07/2026: Worst ham on a pizza west of Copenhagen

25/07/2026: While visiting Ribe, we got a little hungry and spontaneously stopped at Pinocchio with six people. We received a friendly welcome and were served quickly. A cool drink and the delicious food made our visit perfect. We'll be back!

21/06/2026: We tried a pasta dish and a dish with bread and we can highly recommend the place, what we got was delicious with lots of flavor, the atmosphere was good, cozy and the service was good and you felt welcome.

14/07/2026: It was really good food and the place was full of guests both inside and out, we were there on a HOT summer day with lots of sun and sat inside right by the door to the large covered terrace, we could have used a little shade from the sun as we sat there in the "glass cage"

27/07/2026: Nicely located close to the old bridge. Really good view over the strait, especially if you have the opportunity to sit out on the balcony on the 1st floor. The food is OK, without much variety. Several of the waiters seemed relatively inexperienced, but did their best to give you a good experience. Remember: You can always get up and ask for help or service if you need anything. Fun and exciting restaurant. Prices are on the higher end, just like the rest of Sønderborg. Burger approx. 200,- Pizza approx. 150,- Pasta approx. 200,- Steak approx. 360,- Wine approx. 100 for a nice glass. Bottle from approx. 350,- Beer: approx. 75,- for between 0.33 - 0.5 l

25/05/2026: You could be wrong and think Café Skt. Gertrud is a classic mainstream café/restaurant with a focus on tourists and populism. But I was fooled because this is a bit of a gem in Odense City Center. I had the fish of the day and it was really delicious. On the day we were there, they served Redfish, which is not that easy to prepare. It was both crispy on the skin and juicy in the center of the meat. Definitely top marks for that. I would have preferred new potatoes as a side dish because of the season, but there was nothing wrong with the side dishes despite my wishes. There was a super delicious sauce, salad vegetables and pasta. We also got a lovely Sancerre white wine to go with it. The waiters were very attentive and service-minded.

08/05/2026: Picked up coffee one day, recognized me the next! Also ordered a toast with avocado and salmon, tasted super delicious for a light lunch. Although it may be a bit expensive in some eyes, I think it was 100% worth it.

20/07/2026: If you like good beer, come to Café Onkel. With a wide range from Hvidesande Bryghus, there are plenty of opportunities to taste a beer you haven't tasted before 🤩 And in addition, you get good food and smiling service in a cozy atmosphere 👍

03/07/2026: Wow what a great lunch and incredible service. Bjarn treated us to a lovely trio of smorrebrod, which is an open face sandwich for my fellow Americans, that honestly looked and tasted like a fine dining experience. My favorite was the slow cooked pork (alongside Bjarn’s stories). Must try if you’re in the area. Hope to be back soon!

15/05/2026: We got pizza and pasta for the hotel. Good prices for Denmark and perfectly tasty. The people were nice too. If you're hungry and don't want to eat out in a big restaurant, this is the place to go.

18/04/2026: Very good food and a large selection of pizzas of all kinds. I personally recommend the ribs. The service was excellent. I recommend it to anyone hungry.

24/06/2026: Yesterday we were at a Sct. Hans event, fixed menu and fixed meeting time. We arrive on time and are shown our seats. And a half hour later we are asked what we would like to drink!! No wine list, people around us had started to get food.. then it goes a bit quickly and we get our wine and are asked if we were ready for a starter. .. uhh yes also to that extent … then almost 20 minutes pass. Then 1 white very crispy asparagus arrives with 10 small prawns (they said they were hand-peeled) with hollandaise, it was immediately thin, a mega strong in flavour bun, almost drowned out the asparagus and prawns. Well then we waited again, gave up keeping an eye on the time. Then a small glass bowl with new potatoes was put on the table … and then we waited again. 10 minutes later the meat dish came, I think there was maybe 80 grams of meat (maybe less) a little greens and sauce. It tasted great but there was too little. I'm not the type to eat large amounts of meat but that portion can be considered a taste test and not much else. Someone came and asked if we wanted more sauce and it was just before I asked "for what"? . We had also ordered dessert strawberries w/creme anglaise .. 7/8 strawberries with so little cream that you couldn't even get it on the spoon. 299.- for 2 dishes plus 69.- for dessert. Long waiting times and seemed very disorganized. We went home and had a cheese sandwich.
