De bedste restauranter i Syddanmark

21/07/2025: Vi to + vår hund snublet tilfeldig innom og ble møtt av hyggelige smil når jeg spurte om det var plass til oss for en lunsj. Når vi hadde funnet vår plass i hagen, kom verten ut med vann i skål til hunden, sammen med menyen. Vi kunne se at de andre gjestene fikk samme service - Super :) Vi bestemte oss for smørbrød, man er da i Danmark… Og ble anbefalt et med svinebryst og et med nye kartofler/ poteter av den hyggelige hovmesteren. Maten kom ganske raskt og smakte meget, meget bra :) Dette er meget sjelden jeg kan si, men dette bør du unne deg. Ta turen til Brobyværk kro :) Det eneste jeg angrer på er at jeg ikke tok meg en øl og snaps til måltidet, men slik er det greit å holde seg unna når man er bilfører:) Prisene er meget hyggelige 👍

19/07/2025: Kom aldrig når der er stort selskab. Vi bestilte deres sæsonmenu, men måtte stadig vente 1,5 timer på hovedretten. Vi nåede at drikke en flaske vin inden vi fik hovedretten. Da vagtlen endelig kom, så var den ikke stegt ordentligt, men stadig blod i kødet og saucen var skilt. Vi havde bestemt forventet mere af dette sted - men hvis de ikke både kan håndtere stort selskab og deres restaurant, skal de vælge. Men vi kommer aldrig tilbage, og kan ikke anbefale det til andre!!!

17/08/2025: Where should I start. Maybe I would have liked the Coffee or the food but I didn't even got that far. We entered the Shop to ask if we can sit outside. Anwer was "If there is a free table". This should have been the first hint. After waiting for over 20 min we asked one of the employees if we could get a menu. Answer: "we don't have a menu you have to come inside" This wouldn't bother me at all, if that is the concept of the store fine for me I can get my coffee at the counter. But in the first place why didn't they tell us when we were inside that we need to order at the counter and second together with us others arrived they got some kind of menu at least to select what they would like to order. Felt like the two girls working there shouldn't work in the service sector and it felt a bit that we got a special treatment as foreigners. Willdefinwtly

10/08/2025: The coffee at this place is very good, and the atmosphere is very cozy. Undoubtedly the best café in Esbjerg. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the quality of service—the staff are rude and unpleasant, and they seem to be at work as if it’s a punishment. This effectively discourages me from visiting again.

25/07/2025: I'm a tourist in this part of the country and wanted pizza. I was wondering if I should order online or just drive by. I wasn't busy so I just drove by. There were no parking spaces to be found outside... Well, they're busy so they must be popular I thought. Found a space and went in. Was greeted by a lot of hustle and bustle and a queue almost from the moment I walked in. Wow I thought When I was going to order I was told they were busy... Okay, how busy... Up to 30 minutes of waiting. Fair enough I thought. Good food is worth waiting for. It was hot in there and I waited... And waited... Then I got into a conversation with some locals who told me that the green concert had been cancelled due to cloudbursts. People were queuing up for McDonald's etc. and yes now here. There were 18,000 people who had been evacuated so they were looking for food in the area. Ahh that explains the busyness. While I was waiting I was offered a soda, sweetly by the stressed sweating staff. I waited almost 50 minutes for my food, a few small mistakes in the order but all good. The food tasted fine. Understand the stress and the hustle and bustle and felt sorry for the staff. The prices are also quite fair. Such a good experience despite the hustle and bustle.

18/06/2025: I spontaneously ate here with my husband today. The outside says "Gluten-free available," which is perfect for me. Both my husband's pizza and my GF pizza were delicious. I haven't seen such a selection of toppings anywhere else; it's definitely worth a visit.

11/08/2025: I have previously preferred other cafes in the city, as I thought the menu didn't quite match my taste. That opinion has been revised after yesterday's visit: I love "Kong Fidde's Livret", and Cafe Storm's version is (not least in light of the slightly lower price) a worthy runner-up to the version I have preferred so far. It is worth trying!

11/08/2025: Sat on the terrace. Friendly service. The staff was helpful in explaining the dishes. Fast service. We had the Røget brie burger and the Storm Stjerneskud. Very tasty. Highly recommended!

03/08/2025: We had been looking forward to eating at their restaurant, but apparently there was no outdoor seating, despite I don't know how many tables, and the sun was shining from a cloudless sky. So we opted out of the place as it was too crowded indoors and it was super hot.

11/08/2025: Reasonably expensive street food market, minimal selection and the quality of the food is incredibly poor for the price. We ordered from three different places and it was all crappy across the board. We won't be going there again.

07/08/2025: Have visited many times and I really like the concept. Today we tried the new greek place and was delicious 🤤

18/03/2025: Delicious food, fresh baked 'pita', no waiting time, good prices.

04/02/2025: Everything was perfect. The service was great and we had a good time. Definitely reccomend for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

07/08/2025: Maden var rigtig god, og der var meget af den. Vi fik Børges Bøfsandwich, der fulgte godt med sovs til så man selv kunne tilføje ekstra. Meget venlig og imødekommende service.

29/07/2025: Delicious food at reasonable prices. I got a beanaice burger and it was super delicious and juicy, the people I was there with got bacon cheese burger and steak sandwich and they were also very satisfied, although one of the people with the bacon cheese burger regretted not having ordered the same as me, but she got some of my extra sauce, which was plenty of😋

25/07/2025: Online, they said they opened at 10:00 AM, but unfortunately, when we arrived, they were still busy and didn't open until 11:00 AM. When we asked if we could order takeaway sandwiches, they were very friendly, and there was even a lady who spoke Dutch and was able to help us. So, very friendly indeed.

21/07/2025: It is located in a nice quiet environment, without so much noise, the food tasted fantastic, and with good different flavors, so I would highly recommend eating there.

27/04/2025: The best rye bread in town. Such. And they have discount cards so every 8th is free. And all their other bread and cake are in a class of their own

13/08/2025: Beautiful view, but the food unfortunately doesn't live up to the surroundings. The starters were evenly split between tasteless and just “ok”. The main courses? Disappointing meat and flat flavours. The wine was good though 🍷 It almost hurts, because the surroundings are nothing short of postcard-perfect – a place that invites long, cozy dinners with friends and family. But when the kitchen is lacking, the view unfortunately doesn't help the palate.

22/07/2025: Probé la cena de 9 platos al precio rebajado entre semana, y se sintió bien, al precio que pagué. Lo bueno: -Algunos de los platos- el cerdo y en particular el salmón estaban muy buenos. También disfruté mucho de la bebida de bienvenida. -El personal era acogedor y amable -La ubicación es acogedora Los puntos de mejora: -Algunos de los platos se sentían poco inspirados y de sabor simple -sabio- no me impresionó demasiado el bacalao, y si tienes koldskål ser 1/9 del menú, va a restar valor. Preferiría 5 o 6 platos buenos en lugar de algo que se siente acolchado por el hecho de que es un menú de 9 platos. -Tener el pan servido en una bolsa de papel se siente poco profesional, y cuando es lo primero que ven los invitados, se desmerece. Lo mismo con el papel, que algunos platos fueron servidos. -No me gusta salar principalmente la corteza de pan, pero supongo que algunas personas sí, así que esto es menor. En general sólido sin nada rotundamente malo, sin embargo, y el salmón era realmente bueno : )

26/06/2025: Love the old & new vibes in this old 1772 rustic stable restaurant. We had the 9 course set menu which was a great social experience pair from champagne, white & red wine. The food was good & I especially love the main which the beef & chicken cooked perfectly 👍 The service was friendly and the guy who explained the menu in English for me was superb & appreciated. 😊 I definitely recommended this place for a perfect place to catch up with friends, family & love one.
